anyone doing CCGC? (califonia colorguard circuit?)
they piss me off by saying we're not allowed to post our show on youtube till the season's over. (that includes shows that weren't even at CCGC competitions! we do the NCBA circuit too btw) i have friends that can't make it to our shows!! ugh!

I think uploading a show video to youtube before the end of a season is just fine...
It helps to get feedback from other people (crits, compliments, etc) so you have an idea of a viewer's opinion of things you may want to look at changing.
Does that make sense? gonk

My band does SJVCGPR. NCBA comps are too far away, lol.
I think it's silly that they don't allow shows on YouTube before champs are over. I mean, the group could get feedback from other schools, as well as have their members watch for what was good and what needs improvement. But, I understand that they don't want that "unfair advantage of knowing your opponents", but meh. Still silly, since you could just WATCH their show live!

290Pika My band does SJVCGPR. NCBA comps are too far away, lol. what circuit is that? lol ncba champs were far away this year, even to us! (i mean, we host a show, the town next to us hosts a show, the next town the other way hosts a couple shows...and champs were an hour and a half today....) SJ...san jose? v-something colorguard? haha EDIT: i googled it. san joaquin valley colorguard and percussion review. got it biggrin

I think all the shows are hosted within my school district (we have five high schools, so they alternate each comp, then repeat for championships). I think our guard has done WGI Power Regionals in the past, but our band's not doing too well financially so we can't really make any far-away trips. :[

I think two of the schools even had two guards this season. o: wow i'm so jealous. we had 2 guards a couple years ago...by that i mean like 6 or 7 haha...we're tiny now sad but i suppose if you looked at our whole county (solano) it'd be better...vallejo has 3 HSs, and 2 have guards, and then fairfield has...idk 3 or 4 HSs and they all have guards, so i guess its better than where i almost went if i hadn't moved, where they've never even heard of guard sad
