Hey guys!

Well, as the title states, my skin is super oily on and around my nose, eyes, forehead, and chin. The entire rest of me, however, is bone dry like alligator skin! Even with lotion, my skin just sucks it up and within an hour looks like before.

I was wondering if there would be any natural remedies for this sort of thing; if not, any product you'd recommend would still be wonderful!

Thank you and have a good day!

I don't know if this will work or not, but it's worth a try---cod liver oil capsules everyday. They help with all kinds of things! They're full of natural A and D, and fatty acids, which are good for all of you. I don't know if you are a vegetarian or not, but adding eggs to your diet, if you don't eat them, may help, too. And drink water. Almost everything else you grab on the go has caffeine in it, which just dehydrates you all over.

We have always sworn by almost any cheap lotion with cocoa butter in it for dry skin. Apply it while your skin is moist---and no long, hot showers! They really dry out your skin, especially in the winter when the inside air is so dry.

I have dry skin, and my face only gets oily during certain times of the month. For my hands the best product I've used has to be Bath and Body works body butter.

The body butter if very thick and is oily too but if you shake off your hands just after you washed them, or just wet one hand, and apply a dab of body butter to your hands or the body part where you're working on and then sleep with it, for several days the dryness starts to clear up.

Though I read somewhere that drinking tons of water doesn't help the skin much, I still think keeping hydrated drinking at least a liter of water a day should keep you happy and your very likely your skin too since we are always giving off water through out pores.

For oily skin, for the face I would not know, for myself I wash my face at least twice a day if I'm starting to get that 'euck' feeling. Stay away from cooking with too much oils, eating things with too much oil (obvious since oil does rise in heat in little droplets) caffeine, salty foods and if you wear any kind of makeup or facial cream; minimize the amount of make up, and for face cream, I'll apply it to every where but the very most oily spots such as my nose.

Witch hazel...I prefer Dickinson's Pore Perfecting Toner but, any ol' witch hazel will work.

Apply it to the affect areas 2-3 times a day on a cotton ball (cotton pads work best).

Warning, it may take awhile.
