Actor Iseya Yusuke has just been confirmed for a role in the upcoming movie, “Kaiji 2″!
The movie is based off of the manga of the same name, and is the second in a series about the world of extreme gambling. “Kaiji” tells the story of a young man named Itou Kaiji, who finds himself unable to find work. After biding his time with gambling, alcohol, and cigarettes for two years, Kaiji is visited by a man named Endou, who threatens him into boarding the gambling ship “Espoir” to clear his debt. When Kaiji survives the deal, he begins a life of extreme gambling. The original manga series has been serializing in Young Magazine since it first debuted in 1996.
In the sequel, less than a year has passed since Kaiji won a huge game and paid off his debts, but the gambler has already been lured in by pachinko. Iseya will be playing the role of Ichijou Masaya, a young executive who becomes Kaiji’s biggest rival as they fight for control of popular pachinko parlor named “Ike”.
The movie opens in theaters on November 5th, 2011.
