The stallion was at ease as he slowly paced the clearing. He was a bit early for his meeting, but he didn't mind waiting. The air was pleasantly cool with the scent of spring's coming and the gentle lapping of the lazy river beside him was soothing. He was very interested in his guest-to-be. He'd met her once before, while on patrol, and she seemed curious about his herd. He was even more curious about her, as he'd never seen someone with as interesting traits. Nor had he seen someone he'd found so lovely. he was eager to tell her anything she wanted to know about the herd and excited to ask her questions about her own travels. He glanced over to the basket he'd brought - full of fresh apples for his guest. They came from the spring grounds for his herd and thought she might like to sample them.

Neena drifted up in the air, wings only beating in a lazy fashion as she soared on the air currents. She tilted her body in the air, changing direction before she overshot where she was meant to meet the stallion she'd met a while back.
He'd been most interesting; a Cerynei of sorts, but with strangely long ears and was all over in foliage. She'd found him quite attractive though, and he had spoken at length of the herd he was part of, a herd for Cerynei types.
As she flew lower, she heard the sound of moving water, and followed it, her eyes now scanning for the sight of Celegras. She eventually spotted him and circled above as she looked for a spot to land, dropping down in a relatively graceful manner and with a flick of her mane from her face she smiled at him.
'Been waiting long?' she asked, with a quick grin.

His face brightened as she alighted. He approached her with a grin. "No not at all. You're right on time." He carried over the small basket he'd brought full of apples and set it down in front of her. "These are for you, from our herdlands. He couldn't help but regard her once more with admiration. He'd never seen an angeni-type, which is what she explained herself as, though she clearly had cerynei blood as well. He reminded himself that her cerynei blood was why they were here. "I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to speak at length with you earlier about the herd. Shall we take a stroll and talk? I do enjoy being in motion." He motioned with his head down a well-worn path. "I'm very familiar with the area. The herd passes through here between the seasons. We're currently between the herd's summer and winter lands." He couldn't help a little pride in his voice. "I am a patrol leader, so my job is to check out the area and clear out threats before the herd can pass through. There are many jobs, however. Everyone plays a part in the herd." He lead her along the river's edge slowly, enjoying the warm weather. "Are there particular skills you have?"

'Oh. Thank you, thank you very much!' Neena found her cheeks going warm at the gift, the first she'd ever received from anyone. She sniffed at the fruit, inhaling the scent and looked up at Celegras.
'I can't stay here and stuff myself?' she laughed, and nodded.
'Sure, sounds good to me. I'm eager to hear more.'
She followed him, occasionally feeling her hooves slot neatly into prints made by someone with similar sized ones, obviously this was a oft-used pathway.
'Sounds impressive.' she said, smiling at him.
'Umm wings and a sense of humour?'
Neena wasn't sure that those would be considered 'skills' per say but that and her ever friendly nature was what she had to offer, was who she was.

The stallion laughed, enjoying the mirthful mare's company. "Well wings are invaluable of course. And a sense of humor is welcomed." He smiled at her as he led her around the river. "Do you have any questions about the herd? We have an Alhpa, a protector, and several fine members who would be happy to meet you. How about you tell me more of yourself? Where you're from, things liek that?"

'Umm.' Neena wracked her brain, trying to come up with something insightful, or intelligent to ask, but she was so pleased to see Cele again that it took her a while.
'So everyone is okay with a part-blooded Cerynei?' she asked. She was sure that they would be, Celegras was amiable, and despite not knowing him very long felt that he wouldn't have spoken about his herd unless she would be welcome there.
'Oh, here and there. Far away really. I'm not really from anyone place, my mother had me and my sister, and when we were old enough she took herself off again. Home for me is everywhere.'
Sometimes she wondered if she'd missed out on not having a firm home to return to when she needed it, but she made friends wherever she went and so wasn't often lonely. Besides, this herd that Celegras belonged to might be just the place for her, filled with Cerynei.
