SoD: Domenica's Journal
The journey had taken a toll on my body. Being a human had its ups and downs. My feet ached from the walk. I'd traveled from a very far place called Alichem (pronounced Al-eh-chem), I felt defeated. My will to keep walking was soon to be replenished.

A tall archway stood merely yards before my body. I was in awe at the sheer beauty of the arch. Intricate markings adorned the rugged stone. I couldn't see the markings etched into the stone so I walked briskly to the arch.

My feet cried out in pain as the rubber in my shoes rubbed harshly across it. They were wearing out and I knew I would need a new pair after this journey was over.

I reached the archway, my feet numb with pain, and let my hand outstretch to touch the stony exterior. Vines wrapped around its surface while little flower buds began to bloom in the morning light. It was remarkable how the buds began to blossom into a delicate pink flower.

Knowing I had to move on, my body began to move on its own accord. I soon found myself in what seemed like a tunnel. Except I knew the "tunnel" was actually a group of trees cut into a hollow pathway. The ground beneath my feet was moist; but not enough to stick to my shoes. The ivy surrounding the trees were the same type I saw on the arch. The beautiful pink flowers opening from a blissful nights slumber.

The path took much time to exit, but what I saw next was marvelous. A large tree; leaves covered in dew-drops.

'One of those are mine,' I thought to myself while tucking a lock of hair behind my ear.

I took my time looking at the dew-drops. Each one too plain for my liking. But soon enough, I found the one I knew was my own. I felt it calling to me.

Enchanted by its indescribable song; I reached forward tipping the leaf it was balanced on. I licked my lips in anticipation.

The dew drop cascaded from the giant leaf and suddenly... the dew drop fell before me...

Then I realized something... I have to name her.

My mouth was parched, but it didn't keep me from saying her name...

"Domenica."
