Slightly toned muscles concealed by chocolate fur flexed and pulled as the lioness stretched her limber form. It had been a long day, for she had been occupied by a tour given by one of the pride’s guides. Somewhere along her journey, she was introduced to the earth shrine. The feelings she had felt there still lingered on even after her brief visit.
Emerald eyes searched for the leader of the pride. She had forgotten to ask Raiquen what they looked like, and so she was at a loss. Her tail maintained its still posture as she strolled through the shrines. She began to feel a tingling in her chest. She suddenly felt as though someone had crammed all of the nervousness in the world into the pit of her stomach.
No matter what she was feeling at the time, the shy lioness managed to keep a smile on her muzzle.

Salma was out and about, like she always was. It seemed that there was never an end to the work that needed to be done. Still being a bit young, there were moments where she wished that it would just be done. She wanted to spend more time with Tete. Salma knew better than to let herself get wound up in wishes, but there were times she couldn't help herself. A shrine needed a bit of review before being completely 'open' for visiting, and she needed to get a move on before the sun set.
Movement caught her attention, and she dismissed her thoughts with a few blinks of her eyes. Putting a smile on her face, content with knowing that there was still a few more marks of sunlight left for the day. "Can I help you with anything?" she said as she approached the brown lioness.

Kaia turned her head to see the lioness who had addressed her. Kaia slowly turned and approached her with a small nod. “Yes,” her voice was quiet, bashful. “I am actually looking for a lioness called Salma? I spoke with one of the other guides as he gave me a brief tour of the shrines. They are truly beautiful… very serene.”
The lioness let her tail sway lazily behind her, “You wouldn’t happen to know where I could find her, could you?” A smile crossed her muzzle as she stood there. She didn’t know how long she had spent at the shrines, but what she did know was that the day was almost passed. She was hoping that this lioness could help her before nightfall.

Salma brightened considerably, hearing about the compliments of the shrines. This was why she had wanted to start this crazy idea, and somehow was getting help from so many others. "Actually, you're speaking with her," Salma said with a soft chuckle. "Fancy that happening."
Her tail swished behind her as she glanced around. Everything seemed fine and quiet. Perhaps the guide had told her to come to her for any problems? Even suggestions; Salma wanted to make this place the best that it could be, and she knew she didn't always have every good idea.

Kaia beamed with excitement, “Thank the gods!” She lowered herself in a polite bow, “I am Kaia. I have heard rumors about your pride. I had to see it for myself.” She seemed to come out of her timid shell. “I’ve been a wanderer for a while… and I have been searching for a place to call home. A place that lifts up and decorates the gods. It would be so grand to spend the rest of my life living in such devotion. I have always felt that it was my duty. And perhaps, the gods can work through my life." She was still young, but her wisdom and motivation stretched far beyond her years.
Kaia had been living out on her own with her own code of morals that encompass the worship of the gods ever since she had been a young adult. She wished for some sort of purpose to her life, and felt that through diligent prayer, the gods would give her an answer.
“I decided to investigate your pride for myself, when I ran into Raiquen,” her tail came to a slow behind her. “He showed me around. I wanted so badly to see the earth shrine. He had told me that there was no Keeper for it, which is very unfortunate. It has so much potential,” her voice was filled with a deep sadness as she spoke. Suddenly the lioness perked up, “It would be so beautiful with flowers, a garden surrounding it maybe... Is there any chance you are looking for one?”
The lioness seemed rather hopeful. It was very clear that she shared a deep connection with the earth.

Salma listened politely, quite interested in Kaia. She was pleased that the word about the pride was getting out. This was how they would get more visitors, and more recognition for the gods and their work. They deserved it.
"I'm so happy that this place fits within your soul," she replied at first. There was so much to answer to, but Salma didn't know where to start. She did know that she could feel herself feeding off of Kaia's excitement.
"Actually, there is no one there, indeed. It is probably one of our better looking shrines, but it still needs a keeper to keep it in the perfect condition that it deserves." She remember Mana, the Wind Goddess, talking about how Earth was her sister. Salma wanted very much to extend the respect she had for Mana towards her sister, Earth.
"If you are up for the job it requires, I would be happy to let you become the keeper of the Earth Shrine."

Kaia could hardly contain herself, she wanted to jump up and down on all fours. She managed to keep her composure, but smiled a wide smile. “I would be more then honored. And if you would desire my help with any of the other shrines, I would be more the delighted,” she exclaimed as she offered Salma another bow.
The lioness’ tail curled behind her enthusiastically. A wave of peace washed over her in that moment, and she felt as though everything was perfect. Satisfied, Kaia’s mind began to run amuck, wondering on what she could do first to improve the shrines. With the day almost over, she would worry about all of that tomorrow. But she had so many questions to ask.
“Would you mind my asking what inspired you to create such a wondrous place?” It was so intriguing to her. Such a lioness who managed to pull off something so grand was very strong indeed. Kaia had not run into many lions who shared the same passion for the gods, and she had almost given up hope until she came to the shrines.

Salma smiled. "It was the relationship that the Goddess of Wind had with my mother. She died before I left my home pride, and the Goddess made sure of my health and saftey. I felt like there were so few who offered the gods the thanks that they deserved. Somehow, others wanted to help me, and it just..." She glanced around herself and Kaia. "Grew into this, I guess."
It wasn't a large story, but it was one that she was proud of.
"I'm glad that you can appreciate the pride's goal. Its not every day that one wants to stay here and work."
