this world can imitate any environment imaginable, shinigami from everywhere have come here to train their skills, many great shinigami were forged here

alkaid stepped through the portal, entering the world of obscurity, named because simply put, everything was an illusion of the mind and yet it was real...
the world started out as a grid, but soon, it changed, the landscape becoming a forest, dense brush and clear fields with rivers flowing through the land became the reality of the world
he unsheathed his sword and smiled
"whose first?"

he held his blade sideways as a man came into view, the world around him looking like something out of a zanpaktou world
without a moment to lose alkaid slashed at the man from behind, and without warning, or even a minor declaration of engagement

The memory thief The blade sliced into Yuudais body, slicing through flesh and bone with ease.... or it would have if the real Yuudai hadn't been sitting in a nearby tree. What Alkaid had attacked was an illusion caused by Yuudais zanpaktou ability. Yuudai glaced down "Ah Head-Captain Mitsuri,I see that you've just experienced my zanpaktou, I hope it didn't disappoint."

Alkaid smiled as red glowing energy built up within his sword, slowly, a faint humming began to radiate from the blade, Alkaid slashed downwards with all his might, sending a shockwave of explosive reiatsu hurtling towards the tree
"nonsense, it was everything i expected and more..."
he said as he walked toward the tree...now blown to bits by his attack

The memory thief Yuudai frowned as he watched a ball of energy build up on the edge of the Captains sword, "What's he doing now?" said Yuudai, then, " Oh S.." as it was lauched towards him, quickly using shunpo he managed to narrowly avoid the main blast, sharp splinters of wood rained down all around him, "Why did you do that! I was getting fond of that tree..." Yuudai grinned broadly....

as yundai landed another shockwave was already heading straight for him, this one heading faster than the last
