So, I was wondering if my fellow Burn members could anser some questions for me. You can obviously post all of them in one post, it's not a quiz. I'm really curious, and will read these, so please don 't use l337 speak or anything. gonk

5/18/05 Was the day after my birthday in the wee early morning hours... I had been at the bar so I couldn't sleep. My younger brother told me to sign up and mess around on the site and so I did.
-About how many friends have you made?
Unfortunately a lot of them have quit. I tend to disappear from gaia for months on end and come back to find more people have left. I have 63 people on my friends list but I only really talk to about 5 regularly.
-Where did you meet them?(towns, guilds, forums, games, etc)
Gift giving threads! I am a gift giving addict!

It gets more confusing every time I come back from taking a break. They change everything up on me!

Every thread I have been in has had some kind of drama go down. I just ignore it or leave the thread.

I do buy it... I randomly buy it though so I have no idea how much or how often.

not very fast.

Selling my inventory! I left for two years and came back... A lot of stuff jumped a bunch in price so I started selling.

I wish they would stop changing the layout and all that jazz every time I take a little break. They also need to stop with the RIG's all the time. Every now and then is fine. They shouldn't release one after another though.

I started Gaia, according to the My Gaia page, 1536 days ago. Which is approx. 4.2 years. As for why I started it, I dont even remember lol

Quite a few, but I dont really talk to anybody and I'm pretty sure most of the people i did talk to have quit Gaia.
-Where did you meet them?(towns, guilds, forums, games, etc)
Most of my friends were met through Fishing and IRL, but the ones who are active the most and I actually talk to, I met in this guild.
-How do you think Gaia has changed since you first started Gaia until now?(Both good and bad ways are okay)
I like all the new items and games, but the Gaia Cash NEEDS to go. Oh and the sponsored offers are crap and spammy and such.

I tend to just spend my time in this guild, lurking the marketplace, and in the OMGPOP games (since I used to go to that site all the time), so I don't really run into such people very often.

Like I said before, Gaia Cash needs to go. Gaia has it's advertisements and all its little sponsored items, they can get their money from that. The GC just causes unneeded inflation. Plus, i tend to stay away from such things as I find them rather wastes of my money. I'll pay to subscribe to a game, but in those cases i get access to EVERYTHING in the game and most likely just have to use the in game currency and what not to get it.
-How fast do you earn gold?
About 30-40k a week, so rather slowly. Depends how motivated I am each day to play Booty Grab.
-What is your main source of gold gain?
Booty Grab. I dont find much appeal in Zomg and I'm too impatient for working the marketplace.

Get rid of GC and all the sponsored offers. Get all the old manga stories back up and current. And just generally stay away from anything that causes the members to have to pay their own money to get things. If, like i said above, there was stuff set aside for subscribed members, then cool. But don't make us pay for individual items. It's wasteful on our part and greedy on theirs.

I was a sophomore in highschool.. was over at a friends house & she was looking at this website.. I got a little bored while she was playing DDR & asked if I could look around of the site because I was interested. Next day I signed up for myself & I've been on ever since n.n

I have added around 300'ish.. but I've made a good hand full of friends since then. I wish I still talked to a few of them.

I think it's a mixture of both.. I like how it's expanded & how easily you can make gold now.. back then it was hard but when you were actually able to buy your items it was a really nice feeling. Now I just feel dread spending so much gold on something. The prices are outrageous & there are soo many items. its really hard to keep up.

Sometimes I used to run into them in the games.. but now I just stick to placed I'm used to.. like my guilds.

I've gotten at least 3 gaia cards worth 25. Two of them were presents though. & one I bought myself.

Well, I like it. It has moar games and moar items, which is good~ Gaia cash offers hate me with a burning passion of a thousand ubertrolls, sooo...that needs to be fixed.

Ummm... back in... 07/08 I think. Pretty sure. It was October, and my friend literally bullied me into joining. She wouldn't leave me alone, and now she's not even on here anymore. Loser face.

UMM... WELL... INFLATION MAYHAPS. 40k was a big deal when i first joined up here, man. It took you ages to get even 1k. And the people have gotten stupider. See? I just used the word "Stupider." Not even a word.

My sister was on it about a year ago in January, and it looked quite cool. So, I made an account.

Well, about... 28? A lot of them don't come on any more though...

Guilds. I don't usually go to the forums, and the towns tend to be empty.

Um... I really don't know. It's just been updated slowly, things added on slowly. It hasn't changed drastically. I've only been on here a year any way.

There was once a guy in this guild, he was just arrogant, always talking about how good he was, and he kept explaining things in detail to me, as if I was 5. Other than that, I haven't.

I guess I would change the fact that you have to pay money or give personal info to offers so you can spend enough Gcash to disable ads... (some can cause viruses.....) And not all of us are aloud to, or have the money to buy cards... Besides, it's not like everyone will disable them... so they'll still make money.. I just don't want to have to spend money to disable them :l And, I'd more re-color items cause they're awesome >.> aaaand add more eyes and hair more frequently based on what Gaians like and stuff.. and and and... uhm... yeah xd ...But we'll pick you up.

I started getting active around October 2008.
I've made about 4 "friends" that I keep in touch in and out of gaia (I'm actually writing letters to one of them as of now).
I met one in zOMG on a hive run, one in a gaia fishing room, one in a random guild I was invited to, and the last through some person I met in zOMG (it was a strange meeting involving a dog and hide and seek or something).
From when I first started? Hmmm. I guess the most memorable change so far is the recent release of the demon contact lenses which have been on my wishlist since '03.
Not often. Then again that could be because I stay away from the areas where most of such behavior takes place (Teh Vending Guild, Rally, GD, and CB are among them).
Yes. Usually at times when gaia does something that I appreciate. I see spending gaia cash not as buying a product from gaia, but as donating money to gaia with a small token of appreciation given back to you. But when they do something stupid, I cease spending.
Not very quickly unless I recently bought gaia cash. I tend to only get on to talk with friends and check up on stuff that's going on here.
Gaia cash, booty grab, and vending in that order. I used to vend zOMG items a lot (made a lot when cloth was 20K a piece) but since zOMG hasn't really been updated lately, zOMG items are near worthless now.
Get them some more (and perhaps better) staff, improve zOMG (something that's almost 2 years overdue), and ban all AIers (lol).

I started in 2005, after I saw someone on Neopets say that Gaia was 100 times better.

Long-term...none. Isn't that pathetic? I've added some people (who I always later delete because I have no idea who they are), but I've never had a friend who I actively talked to. I don't know what's wrong with me. lol.

When I first started there were always "Sushi Database Error" pages. I like all the new item options.

In the forums where there's a lot of young people (GD, Chatterbox, Music forums). I think it's just part of teenage immaturity, so I stay away from those sections.
