Hugbell was in a small field they used for kite flying sometime. There were a few rows of some nice little benches along the sidewalk closer to the road.
It was a bit too windy for kite flying but Hugbell was up to something as she set the kite down. "I wonder if this'll work." She placed Barnaby on the kite while looking curiously at what she'd done. Having fashioned a small harness for the bear.
"You might be too heavy." She said after a second and frowned stooping down near the Kite and Barnaby.

A seat was more or less all he had wanted on this windy evening. Planning to get his team together for a 'moral building session' over bad movies and cheep pizza was turning into a larger affair than he had at first anticipated.
It hadn't felt at ALL right to leave Scheelite and HIS team member out given that Schee had just asked if he could report to him, and then there was the newest recruit too...
The wind snapped at the edges of his coat before he sat on it and leaned heavily back into the bench before catching the whisper of energy that denoted a senshi. He turned scowling, half expecting some ham-handed battle cry only to see someone not much shorter than himself fussing with... a kite?
God... she couldn't be much older than... 10... she sounded a bit younger in what he could make out though, but he was a 'fine' one to talk about how one should act at a given age. Actually it was one of the reasons he never did much guessing at ages at all.
"..." he stared at her for a long time a coil of irritation in his gut that the Senshi would stoop so very low as to bring someone so young into a war, how desperate could they be? They outnumbered them greatly...
"Aren't you out a bit late..." He called, his tone was civil but curious. What might one learn from someone so young.

Hugbell had felt the energy she was trying to keep an eye on where it was, but she sorta wanted to see if this actually worked. She paused when he spoke though, "Hi."
She said before gathering up Barnaby and the Kite. Moving slightly closer before pausing looking at his uniform. "Maybe..." She said with a pause, "I was going to see if I could get my bear to fly." She said with a pause, tilting her head.
"Aren't you out a bit late too?" She countered thinking that Zink was probably close to her age. "You can't be much older than me could you?" Maybe it was because he looked about the same age as Sam.

He started to laugh that 'he' was out late as well, typical defense of the young in his mind, but it turned rapidly into a scowl when she said He couldn't be much older.
"I'm 17!" he snapped, a small fib, but he was close -enough-. Not as though she needed his actual age in halves and figures anyhow.
He scowled at her uniform again, and then at the Kite... "You'll need a bigger one." He said folding his arms. "Not enough surface area, the amount of wind is only part of it, think of hang gliders... you should get a book."
Everyone should get a book.

Hugbell looked at him tilted her head, "Oh? Sorry... just I don't see many people that are about as tall as me outside my class... " She tilted her head looking at him, maybe it was the fact her shoes had a slight platform too them that made him look close to her height. "I like your uniform though." She said wondering if that'd make him feel better.
"A bigger one?" She looked at the kite, she wondered where she could get a larger one. She'd only seen the cheap ones in the stores and there weren't any really big nice ones. "Do you know what kind of book...?" She asked suddenly, "That could help me that is?" The child added before tilting her head.

"Of course I do..." He said sounding somewhat indignant, and seemed to be flushed at the idea of being the same height as people in her class. Good god... he just grew too, how depressing.
"You could build one too with it..." He said and patted his pockets for his notebook only to remember that it did not travel with him in his uniform. Damned thing...
"We need something to write on...and something to write with. I'll give you several titles..."
He paused suddenly... "I'll help you build one, if you promise to not to assault me... and I'll help you fly it, if you answer a few questions I have... fair enough? I promise its not the names of your parents either."

"Oh!" Hugbell seemed excited as she watched him curiously as he was looking for something. Obviously he forgot to bring it with him. When he said she could build one she blinked, "Kind of like an art project?" For some reason that was the only thing the chibi could think of.
If she could decorate it and make it pretty it'd be at the very least interesting. She frowned, "I don't have anything with me either... where do you think we should get something to write on at?" Looking around, there wasn't a mini-golf course anywhere near by.
She blinked, "Why would I do that? You haven't tried to hurt me..." She paused and tilted her head as he said he had a few questions and it wasn't the names of her parents either. "Well.... I can try to answer them?" She didn't see the harm in at least trying to answer questions, though she seemed unsure if she could actually answer them properly.

"... Because many of the older senshi hit first and ask questions later, I prefer to stick with the questions though." He put on a friendly smile which might have been more effective had he not been wearing a 'ninja' mask at the time.
"Alright... you stay here, I'm going to go to the 7-eleven and get a note book and some news-paper... you wait here alright?"
He said standing and holding both hands out hoping to make sure she didn't try and follow. He wanted to use the Crimson Crystal and didn't want even her to see him put it to use.

Hugbell frowned, "I think because they're worried one of you might do like the purple haired lady with the funny arm did to Castor, and try to take their.... starseeds?" She said after a pause thinking that's what she remembered ********* and Melody had called it.
She nodded as he said stay here. "Okay." She smiled and nodded, "Maybe they're not as scare of you as they are of senshi." She wasn't sure if Negas were considered as big of terrorists as senshi were or not.
She waited for a second before going to sit on the bench beside of where he'd been. "I'll sit here." She assured him.

"... I don't think Castor is a very nice man." He said with a small pause, his voice grown cold and his eyes distant. "I believe he knows who killed a friend of mine... I believe he is involved but won't say... but that is not a story or a concern for people you're age..." He added with a more direct frown.
"I'll just be a moment..." He said shaking his head.
He vanished from view in a teleport to be sure he was out of range so that she wouldn't feel the energy of the chance, opted for a terribly generic civilian form and bought ridiculous quantities of craft supplies, scissors, tape and ribbons... he added to it as well a box of crayons, all of which got a curious look but why should he care, it wasn't even his face that was caught on camera with such ridiculous things.
He waited long enough that he could return to 'himself' before he walked back whence he had come. Rank not withstanding it was harder to teleport with more than yourself and he had no desire to waste the energy.
He glanced about with a small frown to make sure no one was watching before he called "I'm back little Senshi..." and rounded the corner.

Hugbell's head tilted and she frowned, when he said Castor wasn't very nice. She blinked when the nega said he thought Castor knew who killed a friend of his. "Oh.... I hope he's not that mean." She said after a second with a frown, "He seemed nice when I meet him."
When Zink disappeared Hugbell sat looking at Barnaby. "Maybe it's a misunderstanding and an accident? What do you think?" She asked before pausing. "Come to think of it Barnaby why are we in this to start with? Maybe we could all be friends if everyone stopped to talk? Even bullies stop when they realize it's silly right?" She paused thinking about Billy in her class, he was still mean to her but he had sorta backed down or lost interest in the fight when Sam made her stand there.
She sat quietly looking at Barnaby until Zink's energy came back. She looked around until she heard him call that he was back and she stood up. "Welcome back!" She smiled and sat Barnaby down on the bench to look at what Zink had with him. "Oh wow... you sure did get a lot!"

"Well, I haven't done this before, I've only read it... so I thought we could use a margin for error. I got crayons so you could dedicate it, and we can draw err... your bear, on... for a test flight."
Good lord it sounded ridiculous when he said it. Imagine too what people would -say- if they saw him doing this nonsense.
"Who brought you into all this?" He inquired as he unpacked. "Are they at least helping you? Or are you supposed to wander alone like this?"
He wondered if it was a trap too...perhaps they had her bugged, or maybe the next step in senshi war-fare would be exploding children... that was a thought.

She nodded softly, listening to him, "Oh good idea. It'd probably be bad if the first one messed up and we didn't have more things to fix it with or to make another." She smiled, "Oh, I think Barnaby would like that." She said with another nod of her head.
She watched him for a second before offering to help him unpack. She paused, "Well, one of the cats did." She replied settling on the ground beside him, "Most of the larger senshi tell me to call them or not to go out alone but sometimes I do it anyways 'cause they all want to protect me and... I mean I guess I could learn a lot but most of them seem to think I just get in the way. I'm suppose to stand back and watch and if there's something I can help with then help..."
She frowned, "It's kinda unfortunate though when a youma starts chasing after me... If nothing but for the fact I have to either try to out run them or hope I run into a larger senshi or someone that can help."

He was more trying to convince himself than to convince her, cats... no wonder he hated them. "What was the name of the cat?" He asked starting to unfold the sheets of newspaper and pulling out a jar of paste.

Hugbell paused, "Well...." She paused "she woke me because a youma was chasing me, I think..."
She paused, "I want to learn to be able to fight like the power rangers. I mean I dunno how much it'll help. But it should help some right?" She paused when he said she must be able to do something. "I'll show you."
She stood up and walked over to get Barnaby before sitting him on the ground away from the bench. Where Zink could see him. "Teddy Comfy Catches!" She called and the bear began to expand. She looked at Zink and then looked back at the bear as he began to slow his growth when he became close to the size of a twin mattress.
"That's what I can do." She said, with a nod, pausing when he asked the cats name. "Well it's a funny name.... I can't say it right." The smaller senshi was thinking, would it be safe to give out ********* name?
