Hugbell was 'patrolling' one of the neighborhood parks. Hoping mainly she didn't run into a youma she couldn't handle, or some super scary nega like the purple haired general.

She was sitting on the slide before letting Barnaby go down first and she followed after. Giggling, "Everything looks okay here Barnaby." She said with a nod, before picking him up and running over to the jungle gym, "The slide's in good working order." She grinned.

Just because she couldn't do much in the way of actual helpful patrol without being saved didn't mean she couldn't test out the play ground equipments to make sure they were safe. She paused for a second lofting a brow and looking around with Barnaby tucked in one of her arms. "I think something's coming." She said softly removing her free hand from the jungle gym to see if she could pinpoint what it was.

Indeed, something was coming - or someone, rather.

Alkaid spent a lot of time patrolling and not much time gathering energy. If there wasn't another negaverse soldier around then she had little motivation to do these things on her own. She was a weapon, and what use was a weapon by itself?

She found herself near one of the smaller neighborhood parks out of sheer luck - she had let her mind wander and her feet take her where they wanted to go. She stopped a short ways from it to stare at the empty swings and the lonesome slide, trying to imagine the laughter and joy that they brought to children in the daytime. However this place felt when the sun was up, it was hauntingly lonely at night.

Or, perhaps, not so lonely.

As Alkaid gazed across the equipment, she began to notice a presence among the darkness. She felt her before she saw her, that tiny figure entwined in the jungle gym. She instantly recognized her for what she was - a senshi, if a smaller one. She'd heard of the chibis, seen them at a distance in Elysion, but she was not familiar with these children the moon kingdrom had drawn into the war so unfairly. Perhaps it was her instant sympathy or the anger at whatever guardian had dared to do this, but when she found her feet carrying her towards the little girl, she knew she had no intention to harm her.

"Come out little senshi," she called calmly, stopping in front of the jungle gym and peering down at the figure that took refuge behind the bars. "I just want to talk tonight."

Hugbell watched curiously, it wasn't a youma. Her butter yellow eyes followed the moment before it paused at the jungle gym to speak to her. "Hi?" She said shyly as she pulled herself free from the bars keeping Barnaby close to her.

She was looking at the other senshi curiously. She hadn't recalled seeing many that were wearing black. Her head tilted softly "Are... you a senshi?" She asked wanting to make sure that she wasn't just thinking something that might not be completely true. "You, aren't wearing white like the others..." She said making sure to keep just far enough away, there seemed to be something off with this. Even though the older girl said she just wanted to talk, Hugbell was curious about what it was.

Alkaid stared down at her a long time before she spoke, contemplating how best to go about this. She didn't hate the senshi, she was just disappointed in their choices, and though she might have to kill a few to get her point across she saw no reason to harm a little girl that had been brought into the battle by some guardian's foolish decision.

"I'm a senshi, yes," she answered finally, crossing her arms behind her back and lacing her fingers together. It was a comforting gesture for herself as well as a way to keep her hands away from the chibi senshi - an effort to make her feel more comfortable since no hands usually meant no attack. Once she felt like the girl had no reason to be afraid of her, she went further in depth.

"I'm not a senshi that fights for the moon kingdom, I'm a senshi that fights for the negaverse." Her voice was as soft and pleasant as she could make it while talking about this, but it was kind of like a parent trying to read their child a story from Grimms' fairytales. "Black usually means that we are what your moon kingdom brethren call 'corrupted'." She stared down at the small senshi as she spoke, her eyes betraying no emotion and her face blank. It was neither comforting or scary, just kind of lacking.

Hug-bell watched curiously as the older senshi, explained. She couldn't help but tilt her head in that childish manner that said I don't understand.

The chibi didn't say a word for the longest time, then she echoed the word corrupted in a question. Wiggling her way out of the jungle gym Hug-bell came closer to the Corrupted senshi.

"Why?" She asked softly, looking up to meet the eyes of the negaverse senshi. "Why did you change sides?" It was the only thing Hug-bell could think to ask, while still holding Barnaby close to her.

Talking about this with the little chibi was harder than Alkaid had thought. No matter what the senshi believed of corrupteds, no matter what the negaverse said of them, Alkaid knew the truth. She still felt sympathy for her former comrades, she still cared and worried about them. She dreamed of a day when they could all leave Earth and go back to their homes, be together again in their court among the stars.

As long as they were on Earth, though, Alkaid would remain an enemy.

Their place was not on earth, it was not their home. Here they were all invaders, including herself, and if it took violence to make them see the light - so be it. How did you explain such concepts to a child though? Senshi or not, that's all the little one before her was.

"It's not that simple," she said quietly, turning her back on Hug-bell and walking towards a weather-worn picnic table. She took a seat, mindful to sweep her dreads to the side so they wouldn't drag the ground below, and leveled her eyes on the chibi once again. Sitting meant she wasn't staring down at her at least, but it did put the ghastly crack across her chest in better view.

"I gave up my freedom when I fought for the moon kingdom, but with it I gained a new kind." She wasn't smiling though, because she knew the risks and she knew the sacrifices. "They tell you lies from the moment you meet one of those wretched cats, little senshi, and those lies are easy to believe. The negaverse, these bad guys you are all being told to hate, they are the true soldiers of earth." Her serious face melted into a frown then, watching the poor little girl that hugged her toy to her chest.

"You're so small, so innocent. What right do they have to bring a child into this war?" She seemed like she was talking to herself then, or someone very far away. She sighed softly and shut her eyes, reaching up to run a finger through the few wisps of hair that flew free from her dreads near her hairline.

Watching carefully the child followed behind the corrupted senshi, her head tilted pausing a few feet away when the lady sat. She shook her head, "I don't hate you. I'm scared of the purple haired lady..." The chibi paused, "She tried to hurt a few I know... but I have a friend on your side too."

She nodded matter of factly. Pausing when she noticed the hole in the other senshi's chest. There seemed to be a certain amount of concern that came over her, "Uh.... you... have a hole in your chest." The words came out and suddenly Hug-bell blushed, "I'msorryImean... doesithurt?" She couldn't stop words from spilling from her mouth, it was like when your mother told you not to stare at something and you couldn't help but stare anyways.

She listened when the other was asking what right did they have to bring her into the war. Hug-bell frowned softly, shifting from one foot to the other, that hole in the other senshi's chest made her nervous for some reason. For now that was the only thing the little one could focus on.

I'm scared of the purple haired lady. Alkaid knew that sentiment well. It had been her own words, once, before she'd come to rely on Tanzanite for so many things. Instruction, comfort, a home. Just because she could trust Tanzanite didn't mean she was blind to the danger she posed.

"Stay away from her, stay away from all of them." Her voice was suddenly harsh, commanding, even if the emotion didn't change the smooth blank expression of her face. "Tanzanite won't hesitate to harm you, little one, even as young as you are. Your friend won't hesitate if Tanzanite or any of our commanding officers says to." She didn't want to upset the girl, she just wanted to scare her. Scare her away and make her hate this life - that was the only way she could be safe.

"The negaverse is no friend to you, do you understand?" She leaned forward and narrowed her eyes on the chibi, but was taken aback when the little girl seemed suddenly concerned with the crack. Even her attempt at being harsh faltered as attention was drawn to her ever-present battle scar.

"No, it doesn't hurt anymore," she said quietly, sitting back up straight and moving a hand instantly to cover the hole. It was rough, jagged, unappealing. It was a constant reminder. "But it was the most painful thing I've ever felt," she dropped her hand after she drew in a long breath, and finally looked at Hug-bell once more. "Death is not the only thing to fear from them. From us."

Hug-bell's eyes widened at the harsh ton that was coming from the corrupted senshi. Her head tilted, watching when the other said the negaverse is no friend to you. Hugbell shook her head, "No... I mean well...."

Hug-bell stood there confused for a moment trying to figure out what she was trying to say. "I guess sort of... but why can't we get along instead of fighting?" She looked curious at Alkaid, she wanted them to get along, but for some reason neither side seemed interested or to understand that.

She watched as Alkaid put her hand to her chest, she frowned as she listened. A slight shiver ran up the chibi's spine when she heard most painful thing, "Then why did you join them?" She asked, again.

Alkaid shook her head slowly at the chibi Senshi, her dreads swaying softly with the movement. She forgot how naive children could be - why should she expect a chibi senshi not to be just because they had a magical alter ego?

"It's not that simple, there are things that have happened and have been happening since long before you and I were born." She glanced up at the sky, letting her eyes drift over the stars and then finally land on the half moon hanging heavy near the horizon. "We don't belong here, you know. None of the senshi do. That's all the negaverse wants, they just want us all to leave and go home." She dropped her eyes from the sky and looked back to Hug-bell, a curious look in her eyes that looked almost.. longing. "Wouldn't you like to go home?"

She just sighed as the chibi yet again broached the subject of her faction change, bringing her arms up and crossing them over her chest. "It's not a matter of just joining them. I was taken trying to save a friend, I fight because they opened my eyes, and I hope that one day I can rejoin all of you when.. you see the truth." She shrugged a little, but even she knew that was a very condensed version of what had happened and what she hoped would in the future. She just didn't know how to explain the complexities of these things to a child.

Hug-bell watched as the corrupted senshi spoke. Curiosity filled her eyes when she spoke that the senshi didn't belong here. If not here, then where? "But... what's home? If not here?" She asked unsure if she wanted the answer. She might only be nine but she knew she was born on earth, how could it not be home? She didn't know about the cell phones and how they could take her to her home world, though perhaps it was because no one had showed her yet.

She shifted with a pause as the older senshi spoke about her joining the negaverse. She seemed thoughtful, at the same time, she was confused. "It, makes no sense." She said shaking her head, "What truth? Just that we're not suppose to be here? Even if we're born here?" Her eyes were looking to Alkaid for more an explanation, "I don't even know why we fight... there was somthing about making peace, friends... not fighting."
PostPosted: Mon May 09, 2011 12:47 pm

Alkaid found the conversation was becoming more and more difficult. The more that Hug-bell spoke, the more Alkaid realized that she really was just a child. She didn't know anything about the world, let alone the war that she was expected to fight for a silly little princess that had been barely older than Hug-bell herself when she had started it.

"Oh, little senshi," she said softly as her face suddenly contorted into one of.. very mixed emotion. Anger was there, most obviously, but there was also a pain and confusion on top of that. She just didn't understand what the Senshi stood to gain from this. Was it a media move, were they aiming to make the Negaverse look like child murderers? She wouldn't be surprised.

"What cat woke you into this war, hm?" She leaned forward a little as she spoke, suddenly curious. She was nice enough, there was a hint of a smile on her face - she didn't want to scare Hug-bell away with her inquiry after all. She did, however, want to know where she could lay the blame for something she thought was absolutely despicable.

Hug-bell watched Alkaid as she spoke, she paused until she was asked about what Cat woke her. She frowned, it seemed like she was getting the cat question an awful lot.

Pondering and giving a slight sway, "Its hard to say her name, she's really pretty though with boots." The child nodded as she answered looking Alkaid straight in the eye. She moved to sit beside the Negaverse senshi and glanced up at the stars. "They're pretty aren't they?"
PostPosted: Wed May 11, 2011 3:39 pm

Her answer made Alkaid frown, though not in anger, just.. disappointment. She would have liked to have known the name of the cat so she could relay it to Tanzanite. Unforunately, her name was 'hard to say' it seemed. She'd just ask Zinkenite later about it - a cat in boots couldn't be something too common, right? Hopefully Zink's information base already had her name.

"Hmm?" Alkaid glanced up at the stars when Hug-bell spoke, breaking her train of thought and bringing herself back to the conversation at hand. "Yes, they're beautiful, maybe the most beautiful thing in this sad, little world." Her voice was a little sad as she said that, but she wasn't going to dwell on that now.

She pushed herself to her feet and gave Hug-bell one last, pointed look. "Don't mistake us for friends, little senshi. If we meet on a battle field, I will treat you with the same kindness I treat our brothers and sisters." She watched her for a moment longer, that same sadness lingering in her eyes, and then she was gone in one 'pop' of a teleport.

Hug-bell watched as Alkaid frowned, "I'm sorry." She said after a second realizing she'd disappointed the nega, but she didn't want to give away ********* either.

She gave a soft nod, "Maybe..." She echoed, the child could think of other things that were pretty in this world; butterflies and flowers, among other things but she didn't say anything.

When Alkaid looked at her, the child nodded softly. "I understand." She said simply, things were more complicated on a battle field. She knew that, she didn't know quite why they were, but that was for another time. She gave a wave after the corrupted senshi left, not having time to say good-bye before hand. With that she gathered up Barnaby and ran home; it was getting late!
