Deep in the realm of sleep Azalea was quite content right now. Warmth seemed to surround her from all sides, though the light of the sun was beginning to shine in rousing her from her slumber. Taking in a deep breath Azalea was met with the strong scent of male. What the hell! Her eyes instantly snapped open and she sat up only to bang her head off the low lying ceiling of the den. Curses that hurt, but she had a bigger problem on her paws. Her eyes settled upon Rorret laying beside where she had been just moments ago, apparently still asleep.

Her mind flashed back to yesterday, their walk, their conversation, the word they had exchanged bounced around her mind and then she realized what had happened. Oh my god she couldn't have. That was something her mother would do and she had been trying so hard to not be like her mother. Yet she couldn't deny the actions that they had done earlier. Sudden anger gripped her, she had been fooled into this. "Get up you fool!" She yelled at Rorret, not longer using his new nickname in a playful manner, and just to make sure he did Azalea sank her teeth into his flank. That would certainly wake the b*****d up.

User ImageRorret was a light sleeper, especially during the nighttime, when he was quite accustomed to being awake now. Indeed, he had spent a large portion of the evening simply watching Azalea sleep, contemplating her scent, and her form, and her vulnerability. All creatures were vulnerable when they slept, but she seemed moreso -- perhaps simply in the absence of her waking aggressiveness. He thought, idly, about killing her. But that would be a waste, after all the work he had put into getting her in precisely this position. If he were to kill, to feed...it would need to happen later. If he felt like it then.

It was only towards dawn that Rorret began to feel tired, his eyes drooping, his thoughts drifting. Rorret never fell completely into slumber, but seemed to dream with his senses open, his thoughts racing -- as though rather than sleep, he simply allowed his overactive mind to run free with thought.

When Azalea awoke, he jerked, and withdrew his leg quickly from her bite, finding himself shoved roughly to the side. "That was a but superfluous," he said, dryly, clamboring to his paws. He cast a moderately intrigued glance back at his haunch, then shrugged. "...what's the matter?"

If she was panicking about the situation, he most certainly wasn't. In fact, his calm was probably a little maddening.

Azalea let out at growl as he woke. "Don't be so relaxed about this you b*****d." Regret was filling her quickly and she hated herself for what they had done. He had taken advantage of her weakness, a weakness that had been passed down to her from her mother. The strong presence of his scent within the confines of the den was making her almost sick. She needed fresh air and she needed it now. Without another word she slipped from the den and gave her pelt a heavy shake as if trying to remove not only his scent but attempting to erase all those words and actions they had shared.

"I should have know." She began to paced outside the den. "I should have seen this coming. You..." She found that she couldn't look at him right now. "You shouldn't have come to find me. This was a huge mistake." A mistake that there was no going back on, as long as nothing happened because of it everything would be fine. And yet, she couldn't deny that small part of her that had enjoyed having him close to her, sharing herself with him.

Bringing her paws to a stop Azalea felt that inner fire of hers burn brighter than ever. She could fix this, and there were a couple of options on how to do it. Firstly she could just kill Rorret and be done with it. They had fought before and this time she wouldn't be trying to steal his ribbon so she knew she could actually kill him instead of running away with a small tidbit of him. Speaking of which, she bend down and pulled at the small length of cloth around her leg and once it was free dropped it on the ground. Instantly she regretted that and her muscled tightened as she almost reached for it. Back to the current problem, she could regain the cloth momentarily. Secondly she could just walk away, forget any of this ever happened and live her life. Thirdly, there was accepting what they had done and continuing on with it, well honestly that idea wouldn't help at all so she shoved it in the back of her mind.

Be damned. She didn't want to kill him, well she did, but not literally. She couldn't bring herself to walk away right now either. Reaching out with her paw she pulled the previously discarded piece of cloth back towards her. "Now what are we to do?"

Rorret followed after her. He didn't smile, but his eyes glimmered slightly, and he kept some distance from her as she seemed to struggle with her decision. "You worry too much," he said, calmly, lowering himself to his haunch and watching her. She was angry. He liked that about her, but he'd have to be careful. Truth be told, though he had trained quite a lot since their last meeting, he wasn't sure if he could kill her by himself.

And besides, he really didn't want to. Not after all that hard work. "This is a mutually beneficial situation," he continued. "And if you'll allow yourself to calm down for a moment and see the greater picture, you'll see that."

Azalea's eyes narrowed to dangerously small slits and she stared down Rorret. "Do not ever tell me to calm down." He had not right to tell her to do anything, he was below her damnit. She should tear his damn throat out, that would teach him for being so relaxed about everything. But again she knew she couldn't, no it wasn't that she couldn't it's that she truly didn't want to. It took several more moments of pacing before she started to calm down, and now that she was no longer seething with anger she began to understand what Rorret was talking about.

This could be a mutually beneficial situation. His pack preferred males while her own preferred females, so should any pups come from this little mishap then each parent could take the gender they wanted and leave the others with the other pack. It still didn't make it right, but she had given into her lust, that damned thing that had been a trait of her mothers and was now clearly something that she could not avoid no matter what she tried. Even so, she would never admit that Rorret was right about this, no that would only make him flash her one of those amused smirks again and she hated those.

"The greater picture?" She asked somewhat sarcastically as her paws came to a stop. "You mean the part where you used me in an attempt to expand your packs numbers. What a typical male." Rorret was far from your typical male and Azalea knew that, but she was still somewhat angry and to suddenly change face about the whole situation would be completely out of character for her. "So how many other females have you tricked? How many 'new members' have you helped create for your pack?" Could it be that she was a bit jealous that Rorret might be sharing himself with other females? She wanted him all for herself, there would be no sharing.

He waited, patiently, upon his haunches as she paced. He had heard, once, that the only way to survive the attack of an enraged bear was to stand firm against its onslaught, and he suspected that Azalea had much in common with such angry ursines.

"And you would not be using me for the same?"
He asked, good-naturedly and perhaps feigning a bit of innocence. "Would it not swell your ranks, also? And without the shame upon you of males tainting your litter." He was suddenly extremely curious about the pack's customs. He wished he'd been able to extract more of that information from her. "You needn't tell anyone of me, or of them. Have your pups away from the pack, if it comes to that. No one need be any wiser, if you are embarrassed of my company."

He smiled, then, a foxlike smile at her other words. "And, no, Azalea. You are my first." His lips still retained their smirk, but his voice was quite serious, calm. "I have no interest in females. Only in you."

Letting out a growl Azalea hated that he pointed the truth. She hated that about him, how he was so quick to point such things out and always in that relaxed semi-amused sort of way. That had been reason she began wandering out from the pack, well not perhaps with the exact reason of becoming pregnant, she wasn't sure if she could handle the whole motherhood thing just yet, but certainly to seek out the company of a male. But that of course did not mean she wanted to announce it to the world nor to even a single wolf.

"That is not the point Rorret!" Damn him, just damn him! "Oh trust me, I would never speak of you to the Sisters. As for pups, you assume that you are so skilled that you can impregnate in a single night? Males are so full of themselves." Still having to not worry about any males pups, should it come to that, was a bit of a relief. A litter lacking males, or at least none that anyone knows of, would bring a great deal of honor to her, perhaps even make up for any previous misguided actions thanks to her mother.

Ears perked forward at what he said next. So she was his first, or so he claimed. "Is that why it was so awful?" If he could be so smug about all of this then so could she. "No interest in females huh? Then what am I? Last time I checked I was female."
PostPosted: Sat Mar 12, 2011 10:21 pm

"Was it awful?" He asked, looking politely interested. "Then, perhaps, I need more practice."

He had her wrapped around his paw, just the same as that bit of ribbon that now they both shared, and he knew it perfectly well. Oh, he was so pleased. Now so long as her pride kept all this a secret, and his plan came to fruition without a hitch...

"I should be heading back,"
he said, and rose to his paws, stretching. "My companions will be wondering about me, as I'm sure yours will be."

Azalea decided to not say anything about him needing more practice as that would likely get her into more trouble. It was hard enough dealing with the fact that such things had happened once so she was not about to invite another round to happen - not yet at least. When he stood to announce that he was leaving she felt even more anger and betrayed. "Oh I see, you're the love 'em and then leave 'em type."

Was she not the same? Really she did need to be heading back, she had been gone for some time and while she likely wasn't missed there would be hell to pay for missing training. "I think there are some details left unsaid." In truth she didn't want him to go just yet, and any excuse to keep him around worked for her.

He looked over his shoulder at her, and his expression betrayed some exasperation. It was hard to tell what motivated her -- whether she spoke simply to get a rise out of him, or because she believed what she said, or because deep down she had feelings for him. He had his suspicions, but he hoped they were not correct. That was not what he had signed on for.

Still, all this confusing double-talk...while amusing, it was exhausting. No wonder the males of the Brotherhood eschewed the company of females!

"I thought I was looking out for your best interests?" He said, surveying her thoughtfully. "You smell of male. It will take time for the scent to fade. I merely thought you would want time for my company to...dissipate...before you made your way back amongst your sisters."

Not to mention he wanted her scent to fade from him as well, before nightfall. The Brothers may not necessarily miss him immediately, but if one feared that he had done as his father had, and abandoned the pack....the punishment would be treacherous. If he was discovered, he'd like for it to happen after he had more concrete proof that he was working for the good of the pack.

"But I can linger, if that is what you wish." He lowered his head in deference, because he knew it was what she would want.

"Looking out for my best interest? Do you think I'm stupid Rorret?" Clearly he was, it was the fault of all males, even males like Rorret were susceptible to bouts of stupidity. "Smelling of male does not matter so much. Perhaps I killed one and his scent stuck to me. The Sisters do not care if one seeks out a male, as long as they don't bring said male back with them. If it is to swell the numbers then so be it, they will not question my decision." Or so she hoped. Mother was never asked about it any time she returned from one of her male seeking trips, so the same would likely apply to her.

Oh look who's being all submissive now. He wasn't submissive last night. Okay she didn't want to think on that, the less she thought about their little escapade for the time being the better. "What I wish," she began her tone oddly neutral. "Is to know what you expect me to do should anything come from our...time together." He had mentioned simply birthing any pups away from the pack so that she would not need to deal with the dishonor of bringing males into the pack. But what about him? Would he just magically appear at the right time to scoop up any unfortunate results of their tryst?

He shrugged, dismissively, to her concerns. Whatever their customs, he supposed that was well enough for her, so long as it didn't interrupt his plan. "Fair enough."

But the other concern...that was a more pressing issue, and one he wanted to be handled properly. "I'll be around," he said, vaguely. "If it comes to that, I will know."

His brow furrowed. Timing would be tricky. The pack had no wet nurse, and Azalea would likely not be able to disappear from the pack for an extended period to wean pups. That was a difficult situation to consider. "How long could you be away from your sisters, without them taking alarm at your absence?"

So he was psychic now as well. How could he possibly know if she would have pups or not, or when for that matter? Unless he planned on stalking about her packs territory trying to spy on her from afar. Well he wouldn't be able to do that because the Sisters would be on him like a wounded deer, putting an end to his observations before he had the chance to learn anything.

"Plan on watching me from the shadows then? Shall my potential fatness amuse you?" No matter how hard she tried, snarky remarks seemed to always slip in. Oh well, it was in her nature to do so and there would be no changing that.

"Normally only short trips out are accepted. However, I could likely request an extended absence for some reason, perhaps request to search for new members or seek knowledge from outside of the pack." Really should wouldn't be missed, and while a rare thing Sisters did occasionally venture out of the pack and start new lives.

He allowed himself a moment to think of her -- lovely, sinewy, hard-muscled -- loafing around in a bloated manner, and the thought simultaneously amused and disgusted him. "I wasn't planning on lurking about regularly, no," he said, thoughts calculating. He was probably being too rational about this. Clinical, even. "These things work on a schedule, is my understanding. It shouldn't be so difficult to keep track of the time, and return to see if our...endeavor...was successful."

He was growing bored with this game. He was also growing agitated with the sunlight, which was now beating quite unpleasantly on him. He wanted to go home and take a nap and contemplate his next move in the cool darkness of his den. "The details, we can decide when it comes. As you say, there is no....guarantee...of success."

Azalea was, well she wasn't sure how she was feeling at this moment, she wanted to hurry home but at the same time wished to linger. Lingering wasn't really an option when she thought about. "Lurking would only get you killed." She was quick to point out, and that was something that she oddly didn't want to have happen, no yet at least as she may still have some use for him for some time.

"Indeed details can be figured out on a later date...if you were successful." She made certain to put any blame of failure on him as a Sister did not fail, it was the males fault if no offspring came from a breeding. "Failure is not a word the Sisters use too often, so if it comes to that, you shall have to try harder." Bending her head down Azalea picked up the scrap of ribbon that she had previously ripped from her leg and padded up to him, stopping for a moment to simply look into his eyes and then moved off, letting her tail gently bump against his side as she left him in the clearing.
