Zalika had grown weary of the confines of the clan-lands, especially since her mother was pregnant again. Zalika snorted to herself as she paced along the outer boundary of the clan's territory. How her mother had allowed herself to once more have Bekeli's pups Zalika would never understand. While Bekeli might be her father he wasn't what she imagined a Royal Consort would be like. Well, he had brought her Sakelo but she would never in a million years admit that she had taken a liking to THAT rogue.
Not out loud, anyway.
Huffing softly to herself as she very gingerly stepped through the dust (she hated getting her pretty pelt dirty), it was highly unlikely that she would notice anyone that might happen to approach her.

Suchi stuck her nose up in the air. For a couple of days now she had thought she was able to smell a group of hyena's close by but she was having trouble getting the smell located, Perhaps Suchi had depended on others a little too much, the female had never really learned how to hunt or track a sent, food was always just brought home to her. Some might even go as far as to say that Suchi was a bit of a spoiled brat in some ways. She didn't think so however, she Suchi thought hat she was perfect, he good looks where a great asset to the world.
She turned and looked at her travel compainion. "Makorowezo do you think we are close." she half whined. "I am to tired I don't want to travel anymore." she sighed. When she had left her parents she hadn't really thought that this whole process through she hadn't thought it would be this hard.

Makoro tiled his head slightly, ears flicking in the air to listen for a sound. His nose twitched, trying to gauge distance through scent. He didn't have the strongest nose, but his eyesight was excellent. His gaze was steady on the lay around them. Unfortunately, he lurched forward, stumbling over his paws.
A bright blush came to his cheeks as he picked himself back up. "Ah, we should be close..." he offered her. The scent was a lot stronger than when they had started smelling hyenas anyway.
They were going in the right direction at least.

Zalika's hackles rose as she caught the scent of not just a female hyena and a strange one at that, but also the scent of an unknown male. She lifted her head, ears perked up high as she peered around with those bright eyes. In the distance she spotted a vague outline of a pair of hyenas. Just her luck, she was far enough from the clan lands that if she hollered for help nobody would hear her. Not only that but she'd come out here all alone without a body guard to watch over her. What had she been thinking!! She was the heir to her mother's throne and here she was traipsing about like rubbish.
She would have to feel this out and see how it went.
Standing as high as she could, Zalika's ears were upright as she puffed out her chest to make herself look as big and poofy as possible. Only then did she prance in the direction of the duo.
She only hoped she could run faster than they could.
"HALT!" she bellowed as she drew nearer. "What business do you have here?!"

Suchi saw the other hyena just before she called out at them. "Look Makoro we have found one." she said he voice filled with joy. She did a little dance on the spot despite her sore paws. "It took so long but we did it." In all odds the two mismatched hyena's should have had no luck in findig another but Suchi would never admit that to herself much less out loud. Her joy was short lived however as soon after the new female yelled out at them and Suchi was startled. For the first time ever she began to consider the idea that perhaps seaking out a group of others could have been a bad idea.
Being the older, and if she must say so herself the more attractive of the two, Suchi took it upon herself to step forward and speak for both her and Makoro. "We are here looking for our new home.... we could smell a group of hyena's for a little while now and we were hoping that they may a pack or something so that we would be able to join." her answer was simple and straight to the point. She looked at the other female, she was younger the Suchi was and pretty well opposite in color the female before her was all pale colors. She had none of the viabrance that Suchi had.

Makoro let Suchi talk. He would probably stutter and make everything... just not work. So he stayed a step or two behind the older female, afraid to move over fear of tripping. He looked to his feet, seeing the rock he had tripped over moments before and made note of it (he didn't want to trip over it again).
He looked up at the female that had stopped them, only to take note of her appearance, but he still didn't speak.

Zalika narrowed her eyes at the pair, dismissing the male almost instantly before turning her full attention back to the female. She seemed able-bodied and strong, and she'd brought with her a male -- this showed promise. A well-behaved male, at that, one that did not speak and allowed the female to do the talking for him.
Zalika liked that. She liked that a lot.
"I am Zalika, princess of the Nguvu'Utawala. My mother, Bahari, and my aunt, Dikeledi, are the queens of this clan." Zalika shook out her hair, obviously taking great pride in her status of the clan. The dark female was pretty, but Zalika was obviously superior. After all, she was a Princess.
"It was probably my father you smelled," she snorted, scowling at the thought of Bekeli. "What are your names?"

Suchi lowered her position a little, she felt that she was better looking then the female that spoke to her and to her that was what was most important, but clearly this female was important in her home. A home that Suchi wanted to join so it wouldn't suit her to piss the princess of the pride of now would it.
"I am Suchi this here" she jestered to the Makoro behind her, "is Makorowezo." she prayed that Makoro would remain on his feat log enough to make a good first impression. It sounded like they had found what they were looking for a pack, a home, a group to live in, it would suck for them to blow the opportunity now.
"We have been searching a long time for a place to call home. A place that was filled with Hyenas. Have we been lucky enough to find one here?" she asked. She could only assume that if Zalika was a princess and her mother and aunt queen's then this place would be home to a clan of hyenas. Suchi made a mental note to be on her best behavious, Zalika would make a good friend seeing as she was in such a high position, Suchi would have to be careful not to talk down to her.
