(This RP is between Aydan (Angelique DelaMort) and Eoghan (IsisMagic)) Aydan did his best to keep the pebbles under his hooves still. The mountain path was narrow and more than a little unstable. In hindsight, it probably would have been smarter to fly over the area, but he was worried he might have missed his goal somehow. Sonja had been enviously eying some of the other soquili who had animals that seemed to trail after them everywhere...naturally she wanted to make friends with the creatures who had the sharpest teeth - wolves, bears, lions... Aydan rolled his eyes. That was Sonja.
He'd promised his good friend that he'd try to find a small creature to be her friend and that's how he ended up here...in the mountains...approaching the snowy peaks. Afterall, what could be a better friend than a goat? They could be protective, they couldn't eat her - it was the perfect companion, right?

Eoghan stretched his wings and stood at the entrance of his cave. He looked out at the view and smiled to himself. There wasn't anything better than this. He was about to jump off the mountain and fly down to the valley below for a visit with Leilani, but then he caught site of something very .... strange.
It was a stallion. He was white with red hair and red-tipped wings. And he was climbing the mountain looking like he'd lost something. Eoghan tilted his head and thought for a moment. Why didn't the stallion fly? He was going to fall off the mountain....

"Ok," Aydan told himself, his usual calm voice edged with a bit of concern as he picked his way carefully over some boulders that had gathered on the path. "Left, right, left, right, nice and easy. Of course, this would be a little easier if these things lived closer to the ground..."

Eoghan edged out further when he heard the guy start muttering to himself. Maybe the stranger was crazy. Eoghan slowly stepped out from his home to make sure the stranger was going to be all right. He didn't want to say anything and startle him. That'd be one way to get the stranger off his mountain.

With a carefully timed leap, Aydan bounded down from the rock pile and up the other side of the path. He glanced back in time to see the rocks sliding down the mountain. "That's not overly encouraging..."

Eoghan shook his head. What was he trying to do now? Dance with the mountain? "You'd better just fly!" he yelled to the stranger.

Aydan paused and glanced up in the direction of the voice and spied a dark form, "But I won't be able to see the goats from up there."

Oh, no. Eoghan had heard of these weirdos. "And, what, exactly, do you intend to do with a goat?"

"Hopefully..." Aydan said carefully stepping along the path, "Convince one to come back with me and look after a friend..."

"Soooo," Eoghan said slowly. "You already have one goat, er, friend, and you want another one to look after the first one? Are you some sort of goat collector? I don't think I can allow that."

"Friend's not a goat," Aydan corrected the other. "Might be as stubborn as a goat, I suppose..." he paused and titled his head in reflection. "Are goats stubborn?" he inquired of the lofty stallion.

"No, goats are stupid," Eoghan said. Then he offered, "Unless, of course, you get a smart one."

Aydan laughed, "I think that can be applied to anything or anyone." He eyed the rocky terrain that made the narrow, winding path taking him up the mountain and suddenly had a thought. "You wouldn't happen to know where some smart goats hang out, would you?"
((LOL - He's Caboose! Blue and all ))

"Why?" Eoghan asked. "So you can kidnap one? To be your friend's babysitter? I have to question your logic. A goat doesn't seem like it would be a very good babysitter."
((Gorramit, you just gave him a voice actor. >< ))

Aydan shook his head, "I certainly would not kidnap one. Though I might offer it a sugar cube or two...they seem to work on horses quite well. And I just need it to keep an eye on Sonja when I'm not around, make sure she doesn't get into too much trouble."
