Welcome the the Third Stage of the Chuunin Exams!
If you think it's been a crazy ride so far, it's time to kick it up a notch with...
MORTAL COMBAT!!!
DUHN DUHN DUHN DU DU DI DUNH DUNH DUNH... you know the song. Anyways, it's not really like that, except that it kind of is, excepting of course the whole having your soul stolen at the end if you lose thing... (probably). So, as I'm sure everyone knows the general rules, here's how everything will be going:
Brackets have already been created and will be on display for all to see in the post following this one. At the start of every match, combatants will meet in the coliseum and will roll a ten-sided die (or d10). The numbers will correspond to 2 different possible arena choices, at which point the combatants will then decide which field of battle they will engage in. If a decision cannot be reached, one will be randomly selected by another roll. Once the field of battle is chosen, the contestants will be whisked away via teleportation to the arena of their choice along with a single Jounin instructor who will mod the fight.
The Rules of Combat
1. Obviously, no God-modding, Meta-gaming, or other bad RP practices. (Just a small piece of advice, sometimes, taking a hit shows more RP capability and skill then dodging.)
2. Make your posts as DESCRIPTIVE as possible... trust me, it will work in your favor.
3. Keep your arena's special effects in mind, and remember to respond to the 'hazards' of each arena as well.
4. No Killing. Now, this does not mean that you can have the INTENT to kill, but any attack, jutsu, whatever which would actually KILL your opponent will be stopped by the Jounin proctor to avoid having the victim's RPC killed. (Maiming is totally legal)
5. If you have a grievance with your opponent's post, you may make a SINGLE OOC post, to which your opponent can make a SINGLE OOC post in reply. All other discussion will be taken to the disputes thread, where the fight mod will make a call.
6. Respect the fight Mod's decisions. Their ruling is final. However, if you feel the mod's decision is unjust or unfair, you can take it to Cobra, Lance, Gregar, or BlueWolfofMibu and our ruling will be the ABSOLUTE final call.
7. If your opponent does not post for 2 days, you get to auto-hit them with your last attack. You should then PM them asking for a response. If they do not respond to you or post within the next 2 days, you will automatically win the fight.
8. Fights should not take longer then a week. PLEASE MAKE A REAL ATTEMPT to make this fight a priority for your posting.
