[PRP] Fluffy Ninja Time! (Gin x Athena)

The sky was filled with fluffy clouds, the grass swayed in a breeze, and the big puffy white mane fluttered this way and that while the lion that owned it slept soundly on the soft grass blades. If it would not have been for his mane sticking up over the grass around it, one would not have known he was even there. He certainly was not moving enough to give himself away right now and the grass was too high for even his large form to rise above it beyond his mane.

The affect was rather cute a white tuft of 'grass' among the high blades. A standing lion would probably be able to see this from a good distance off, while a shorter animal would be oblivious until nearly upon him. Athena had eaten a good meal and was sleeping off the affects of a long run to catch it along with a full belly from the actual eating part of hunting. Zenobia and Zenoba were having some private time, not too far away, but far enough that Athena could not interrupt them easily.

His friend Niade was most likely within a day's travel away as well. It was nice. He was getting a bit of a family to call his own, or so he believed. His dreams were pleasant as this sense of peace and comfort seeped into them. The only thing that could make it better was if he got cubs of his own. Maybe not even to keep, but just knowing he had offspring would brighten his mood further. He was very much a family centered creature.

Athena was enjoying his peaceful nap, dreaming of many pleasant things. Unfortunately for him it could not last forever. The sound of the female's approach at least did not disturb him. She was quite silent when she moved, but eventually she came close enough that her scent carried to his nose. Athena's nose twitched at it. The smell of another so close brought him up from his sleep and he sniffed curiously before he was even fully awake.

By the time his eyes did open, he had already processed some important information. One it was a lion, two it was female, and three the female was in a certain direction. He raised his head and looked right over at the lioness. He raised to his feet and stood a good head taller than the grass, more if you counted the mane that fluffed up above him. He shook that to make it stop sticking from how he had been laying.

"Hello." Athena took a good look at the lioness head sticking out over the grass and smiled. "From what I can see, I believe that is 'hello, beautiful.' Did my napping here disturb your travel?" He thought perhaps she had stopped because she had not expected to find another in the tall grass, or maybe she needed directions. There were a lot of reasons one could be standing watching another sleep. Some were much more pleasant than others.

Athena gave a rather large yawn and shook himself out to fluff his fir completely. "I apologize, I do have better manners than that. I blame just waking up. I often laze around and sleep after a good hunt... especially to give my traveling companions some alone time. It is amazing how you can travel with someone for so long and still need some time to yourself every so often." He grinned and stretched before standing straight again. "Ah, listen to me rambling."

He chuckles at himself. "Where are my manners? I am Athena, the big fluffy lump in the grass, on a rock, or even up a tree most of the time. It is a pleasure to meet you, Gin Kageka, an honor even. Do not worry about disturbing me, the smell of a hare happening by could bring me out of slumber under the right conditions." He purred and his eyes sparkled with amusement. "You look a bit lost. Or like you have lost something. Which would that be, beautiful?"

The male wanted to help, and he certainly figured he could in most situations. Maybe she would like to join his group? But something told him that was not likely in this case. It would be too bad, but he would hold out hope on it anyway. He was optimistic like that. It was part of his fluffy charm. "I would be happy to help in either case if you would like. I should not nap so much anyway."

Athena tilted his head to the side as he listened to the lioness. Her answers were important since it was aid she would need. He brought up the map of the hand he had in his head and thought of where he was now and where the mountains were. They were not too far from the mountains and if one got out of the high grass they could see the outlines on a clear day. He had been taking his group along almost parallel to the mountains for a while now.

"It is always good to hear someone is able to spend time with their family, even if a break is needed from time to time. The mountains are not too far, a few days travel, but standing in these grasses you are not likely to see much. If you stretch up, or put a paw up on my shoulder, you should be able to see the outlines of the mountains just over there." He uses a paw to point in the proper direction.

"It is clouded in that direction today, so it makes the seeing a tad hard. My traveling companions are back at a rock outcropping that might make a better vantage point, and would get you out of this grass. But there was also a nice rock I passed on my way here that would get you above the grass for a bit. I have problems seeing over this, I am sure it is the same for most everyone else." Athena refused to call the female short. He was perhaps a bit crazy, but certainly not stupid.
