I have a delightfully hair-brained idea, yes!
It involves an event that is Gaia Aquarium themed patients. ...And other Gaia type themes could also be used too at some point of course. Clothes, cosplays, etc. But mainly the fishy type ones because bubble-eye goldfish and hermit cat patients would be adorable see to wibbling around the bowels of the Asylum. Because it's probably flooded down there and stuff, rite?
Just try to tell me you don't want a Cathulu themed patient. And just try to tell me an auction for one wouldn't be insanely awesome.
Fine, burst my bubble.

This would probably be more of a RP event kinda idea but: What about a Political Captive type event? Or something revolving around people put away in the Asylum not because they are a genetic experiment or a freak or mentally dangerous. But because someone on the outside wants them to disappear? You could have all sorts of fancy dressed people for the event and the range could be from embarrassing offspring to dictator or something?

Maybe masquerade-themed patients?
Or "traditional" themed patients? Like, patients in the traditional wear of various countries (German Bavarian dress, kimono, etc).

Random idea I had, how about a series of mythological beasts? You can have sets from different parts of the world (so I guess that would be themes within a theme). Might be fun for a larger type of event, like the gijinka event. You could even have "gods" that have a minor power, and demigods and monsters with traits.
Another one: since gijinka don't have to be something like "pokemon" why not have some that are based on objects or machines?
Or along that vein, how about steampunk theme? Gears and ruffles? Yes. Seems perfect for a place like this.
And a cyberpunk theme. Like VR and Gunnm style and borg and and. I'd really like to see this one.
How about a chimera theme (bits and pieces from different animals). I guess a better name would be "gene splicing" theme.
How about a medieval theme, since this is an old castle?
Ok I'm submitting this before I get more ideas.
