Did he feel guilty? Was there some sort of charter that he hadn't seen saying that you couldn't join this pride without following one of the gods in charge? If there was, they would kick him out sooner or later, Shibasa thought dryly as he walked around their little piece of ground. And he'd probably be better off because of it. But there were only a few adult males. Mainly there were females and cubs, and he hated himself, but he didn't like the idea of leaving them all on their own, reliant on that god, Xavier. Why not, though? He knew gods were tougher than he was! They should be fine on their own! He muttered something dark under his breath and looked to the sky, watching Nobo fly in lazy circles overhead. He was such an idiot, and the sad thing was, Shibasa admitted, was that he was old enough to know better.

A few things had been happening quickly in Abla's life. She had grown into the idea of leading the pride with Xavier that indeed was something that she enjoyed. But she had also gained something that she never thought she would get again in her life. She could see, she could see the bright world around her and it made her feel so amazing she really couldn't describe it. She could never see in her life and now she was and it was something to be impressed about. The world was beautiful it was nothing like what everyone described it was so much better.
She sat in front of the water, her tail flicking idly behind her and her wings were folded gently against her body. She smiled as she looked at it watching the water ripple and the skyline start to fade into pinks and purples. She had figured out that means the sun was starting to set, it was an amazing sight too. She would have enjoyed that a lot as a cub. She was kind of sad that she couldn't see things like that before.
She was into the sky line so much that she was not aware at all of what was coming her way. She wasn't paying enough attention to the male walking in her direction.

He looked down, not watching the vulture any longer, then stopped, seeing a very familiar form ahead of him. "Hardships," he said quietly. Did he want to talk to her? For a long moment he watched her, wondering what he would tell her.
How about the fact that he was using another god, trying to be free of his problems? Or how about the fact that he hadn't gained anything except for an annoying vulture over the past year or so?
He sighed and kept walking towards her, dropping down beside her and looking at what she was looking at in silence. Maybe he wouldn't tell her anything at all, just ask how she had been.

Abla's ears flicked a few times before she realized the male beside her. She looked at him before smiling slightly, even thought she just recently started to see things she recognized the male's scent. She knew that she had met him before. "Shibasa." She said quietly before looking forward again lifting her paw to brush her long hair out of her eyes. "What brings you to this part of the lands?" She asked curiously not really sure of what else to say, she wasn't really in too much of a mood for a bunch of company but she was okay with some conversation.
"I haven't seen to many others around here around this time of the day." She paused for a moment before laughing light heartedly. "It is nice here though, I don't blame you." He flicked her large fluffy tail around a few times a smile still on her face as she scooted closer to the water and resting her paws in it enjoying the feeling of the cool water on her paws.

"Decided to join a pride," he said, smiling slightly at her laugh. He had forgotten how cheerful the goddess of hardships was. "One you might know, actually. They're following this... god named Xavier." The pause plainly said he was picking his word choice carefully.
His tail twitched behind him slightly as he looked at the scenery for a moment before looking up at her. She was smaller than Ubuge, but larger than he was. "You look happy," he commented.

Abla laughed and then nodded at the idea it was kind of funny that he said that. "AH! Xavier." She chuckled again nodding and then flicked her tail around a little more. "Me and Xavier are good friends, and I am a part of that pride too." she smiled as she looked at him then nodded some. "You'll probably see me around there often." It was pretty true, her and Xavier were pretty good friends, they hung out a lot and she enjoyed it.
"I am quite happy." She commented with a large smile on her face, it was pretty true that was for sure. "I can see now, it's very nice." That was as simple as she could get with it she didn't want to brag about it but it did make her pretty happy. "How have you been?"

"Well... s**t," he said. It was a shocking reply, to say the least. Here she was telling him about wonderful things like being able to see, and all he could say was... that. No, there was more. "Dammit, all, why'd that--Nobo!" he called to the air. "The gig is off! We're going to have to find another way!"
The vulture started downwards, landing on the lion's head. "Why's that?" Nobo asked, looking at the goddess. "'ello, lovely," he added flirtatiously. "Haven't seen you in these parts before."
"Bird, stop hitting on the goddess of hardships," Shibasa said. "Sorry, ma'am, we'll just be going now."

She was a little surprised at what was going on with the male. His reaction was one that caught her off guard, she really wasn't expecting it not expecting it at all she was surprised. "Nobo?" She was confused and looking around not sure of what to do. "Are you okay?" She asked curiously still really not sure of what to think of it.
She watched as a vulture came down she was a little confused but welcoming to see another child of flight, birds were interesting to her. "Umm.." She replied a little awkwardly not sure of what to say with the male. She then growled a little annoyed not too sure of what was going on and not happy with the fact that she didn't know what was going on. "What are you talking about?" She half snapped all of a sudden she didn't know what was going on. "What is going on?" She huffed still very annoyed she really wasn't sure of what was going on.

"We're leaving the pride," Shibasa said. "Don't blame yourself--no, actually it is your fault," he said. "Here I am, finally finding a god I didn't care if I got in trouble with Ubuge, and he turns out to be your pal! I was all set to use the guy to get my problem taken care of--he's a b*****d, you know that? We have a lot in common, even he admits it, but you!"
"He likes you," Nobo said wickedly. "Crush on a goddess? You dawg, you!"
"It ain't a crush," Shibasa muttered. "But I can count on one paw how many friends I got, and unfortunately ONE of them is you, and another is hardships here! So that means I can't use her pals, no matter how tempting it is."

Abla was normally a cool tempered lioness, she didn't care about what was going on and she was just generally laid back. But really she was starting to get really annoyed, she still wasn't too sure of what was going on she sat up and dug her claws into the ground, she really never remembered doing much of anything that pissed the lion off.
"Wow." She snorted shaking her head before speaking again. "You're going to give up something that you like just because of the fact that I'm there. You have some serious problems and you're not going to get far in your life like that." She shook her head very annoyed at the idea before then flicking her hair out of her eyes.
"You're being pretty stupid if you just turn around and leave." She nodded at the idea it was pretty true. She paused before then wiggling her toes in the ground, she was going to ignore the comment the male made about him having a crush on her.

"So you want me to use your pal?" Shibasa asked. "Do you really think that god could deal with Ubuge?" he asked. "Because he ain't nearly as big as she is. I doubt he's as powerful, yet. Maybe in a few... damn, how long does it take you guys to grow, anyway?" he asked. "Hundred years," he exaggerated.
"You're just looking for an excuse to bolt," Nobo said. "Not that I blame you. Being part of this 'pride' thing is a pain in the a**."
"That might be part of it," Shibasa admitted.

Abla shrugged for a moment. "Xavier might disagree with me but I think it's not only a god's job to punish the mortals but I also think it's our job to protect them." She sighed shaking her head she thought this was pretty silly. "Excuse you but not all of us are huge. I see now why Ubuge is after you. I don't blame her for whatever she did to you." She commented in an annoyed tone before shaking her head a few times. then sighed.
"It is your choice to do whatever you want but stop being stupid." She was annoyed but not quiet there to taking it out on this male.

He muttered something dark. "Fine, I give up, you win," he said, rolling over to show her his stomach, then flopping on his side. Nobo hopped off before being thrown off. "I'm going to get that piece of soul back sooner or later," he told her. "Whether it takes the rest of my life or not doesn't really matter. I got nothing really else on the table to deal with."
Except joining a pride was trying to change that fact. "Why did you join the pride?" he asked her. "What does a god need to do with mortals like us?"

Abla was confused at his rolling on his belly but she shrugged it off, "I'm sure you'll get it." Abla said plainly, she knew something could eventually be worked out with the other Goddess. If Abla knew the goddess she would try, yet she didn't so that wasn't about to happen. "Don't forget to live other parts of your life." she mentioned to the male, she knew there was no point of living a life if that was the only thing on your mind she had seen some others get into some major trouble or hardships because that was the onnly thing they focused on.
"Well... they worship me too." She nodded at the idea before sitting back on her haunches before continuing more. "I like mortals, I lived with some for a little while." She nodded at the idea before speaking again "I don't mind living with the mortals or talking to them they're just the same as the gods to me." She then shrugged. "Beside I'm moving between there and the god Haven to see my brother."

The blank look on her face told him she didn't understand the move of submission whatsoever. But hey, she was a god, so he guessed she might be used to other forms of showing it. Either way, she wasn't likely to rip into his guts and kill him, so he stayed like he was.
"Family," he said. "It might be... interesting to have family." He hadn't in a very long time. He sighed, wondering if he was getting old. First he was settling into a pride (with ulterior motives, but still!) and now he was thinking cubs and a mate--
Nah. Nobo was enough, as far as he was concerned. He was deliberately ignoring the fact that the vulture had forced himself on him.
