Nyyrikki's duffle bag was pressed to his side snugly - he'd measured it three times to make sure none of his belongs would end up overboard - and stared at the boat with a degree of horror. Was he really about to board a boat made out of weeds? It seemed like the worst idea he'd had yet; and his last adventure had led to detention.

He pressed a stained hand over his eyes, took a deep breath, and then released it. He could do this. He'd open his eyes, and the boat would be normal. But when he peeked through his fingers again, the boat still floated mockingly before him, making all sorts of weed-boat fun at him. Well, he'd have to show it who was boss, obviously.

He boarded the boat with squelching, careful steps, afraid the thing would fall apart around him and he'd be plunged into the sea. Nervously he fingered his wrist where his chains used to be. The bare skin he felt was more aggravating as it reminded him how he'd been forced to send away his weapon. This trip quickly looked to be hell.

Amrita had put reminder notes almost everywhere, up to and including on DC...though that particular note ended up looking more scorched than helpful. Thankfully they did their job, and the little Vetala showed up a little early, but only a little.

She had never seen boats before. Ever. She found herself staring up at them, her jaw slack in awe. Something that could float on water! It was...it was so interesting! So terrifying and intimidating, but so interesting! Her single eye moved from one impressive boat to the next before falling on Boat 1. She stopped, and stared. This boat didn't look like the others; this one looked...not so good? Not to mention there was smoke. Where there was smoke there was fire, and judging by the amount of smoke, it was probably a big fire.

All of her excitement for this trip was gone.

Just, poof.

Gone.

Looking increadingly upset, the now-trembling little Undead ghoul made her way on board, staying as close to the sides as she could. She'd rather go overboard and drown than stay and face the flames head on. Or even the smoke head-on. Fire was bad, okay. A passing ghoul's muttering comment was picked up by the already uncomfortable Vetala, and a wide, panicked eye turned to stare at Yui.

"W-we ARE?!" Amrita gasped out, her voice breaking. She knew it.

Amrita heard a familiar voice, and her building distress ebbed a little bit. Thank jack, someone she recognized! His specie aside, Jericho was a sight for terrified eyes, and she only eagerly edged toward him a little bit, still staying very, very close to the edge of the weed boat.

"I'm not dead!" She stressed. Inside of this corpse she was very much alive, and she mostly wanted to keep it that way. Of course her words probably didn't make much sense as not many people knew what a Vetala was and could do, but she didn't seem to notice that part. "There's already smoke!" She lamented unhappily to herself.

"A-are you sure we're not going to die?" Amrita asked him, staring intensely. She would likely take his answer as definite truth, and hold him to it to boot.

This trip was going to be hard. Already Belladonna had to leave behind Binx (actually, she had to leave him IN CHARGE and that was pretty dangerous), she couldn't pack as much as she wanted and today she approached the boat without wearing a hoopskirt. The Horror of it all!!! But approach she did and the witch took a moment to pause and look around at the other ships, noticing that the ship that carried her beloved Daisuke looked rather... Ginormous. That meant he'd be safe at least! Belladonna took a deep breath and headed toward her own ship, delighting silently that it was made of seaweed. The idea of sailing across a vast ocean of just water had made her shiver a little, but to see that they would be taking something so Earthy with them made those fears disappear... Mostly.
So trying her best to be brave and not show any sort of apprehension, Belladonna squared her shoulders, raised her head and took one faltering step forward. Only to stomp instead of clack because she was wearing a shoe with less heel. Oh goodie...

"Flames?" The witch asked, approaching Jericho and Amrita (partly because she knew them and partly because she needed someone to talk to...), "Oh I don't know. Its probably not fire. The smoke is probably... Incense! To combat the sea smell!" It was always best to be as positive as possible, especially when there were smaller girls who were very cute and looked very distressed. "Hi, I'm Belladonna by the way. I sort of know you Jericho, but you Miss... I don't know you." She stuck out her hand for a shake, smiling at the girl. "You did help me once, didn't you? My skirt was stuck... When that mysterious man attacked and all us students fought back?"

Taking a quick moment to look around the boat, the witch noticed two others who had boarded before her and made a little note to go speak with them at some point too. Oooh, all this socializing just might help her forget that this trip was laden with doom! (Her tarot cards had given her ample warning before she signed up and all the time leading up to it!) But they'd be ok... There was always hope!

There were few times when Cadmus's mind focused on his student and pupils in his care. Sadly this was not one of those times. Plants had invaded his thoughts and seemed to consume his every fiber of his being. He stood gazing out across the open waters dying to get the journey underway. So much lay ahead, he could explore and gather a vast amount of new knowledge in regards to the plant life foreign to his studies. Hungry like a starving child he hungered for the knowledge that lay ahead of him.

Mildly he picked up the bits of conversation though the past through, in one out the other. He found the fact that the students were so afraid of his botanical masterpiece amusing. It was not his fault that the wooden ship displeased him in aesthetics. It had seemed near rotting but he'd seen so much potential he had in a sense brought the sad wood back to life. It was true a fire would sink the ship but a fire would sink any ship that had wooden frame. Smoke curled up from his cigarette wafting about like a drifting incense stick. Many opposed his habit but he didn't mind them. No it was his friend in his endless days and sleepless night. He had a job, it was to learn plants and be an expert in them.

Tahki had been sure to leave plenty of food out for her mini pets and made sure to pack the night before. Still the ruckus in her room was enough to cause her to be a little late. Choco Choco and Aisha had been at it all morning fighting over who got the nice warm bed that Tahki usually slept on. There was much squawking and much hissing but the gryphoness had finally settled her two minis down. Scruffums had been to busy making sure Tahki had everything she needed in her bag to really be of much help. Just as well because when Tahki packed for her self she always forgot something. The ever attentive Scruffle was always many steps ahead of her.

Though, as Tahki would later discover, the Scruffle had purposely forgotten to pack a certian ghoulboy. But Tahki could rage about that later. Right now the gryphon was doing her darnedest to get to the boat in time. Her bag hung loosely around her shoulder and swung with every step she made.

Hufff hufff hufff hufff huff hufff huff. OH HAI SHIP!

And there it was a ship made of sea weed? Tahki took a moment to really take in the imagery of the ship that was before her. It really was..... something? Were they really going to sail on THAT!? Tahki felt a little quiver in her belly but proceeded to board the ship any way despite the warning her belly was giving her.

It was at the moment that Tahkis clawed foot touched the boat did she hear a familiar voice cry out Im not dead which caused the gryphon to jerk her head toward Amrita who looked a little shaken.

"A-amrita?" It came out mostly a horse whisper but still Tahkis concerned face said it all. Just. What? There were faces gathered round her that the gryphon had seen around school but had never spoken too which made a single hand of Tahkis go up to one of her head phone speakers by habit. Other students made her nervous.
