Early evening and already one horizon was already blanketed in darkness and starlite. The moon was still hidden behind a cloud, but it was fast moving in this brisk of a breeze. Standing in the open field, surrounded by tall black trees, a young looking star stared up upon the world he had known. Now, it was looking down upon him as he had done so not so long ago. "Seems strange, to be on the other side of the Mirror. Fallen through the glass and yet the shards leave not a scratch." He smiled, letting the wind blow through his long mane and tail, though the ends only brush against the grass beneath his hooves.
Turning his light colored gaze away from the darkening skies, white wings rose from his sides showering the ground with white down. Feathers loosened as their usefulness drew to an end, now in his new life. Yue found they weren't needed, newer, longer feathers grew to take their places lifting the stallion from the ground and into the air. With the caress of the wind under his wings and belly, he could feel its fingers combing through his mane and tail. Pulling it in a teasing way to get Yue to play, no, he was in the exploring mood. With a light smile passing his lips, the Moon Guardian rose over the trees and into the twilight. Seeking what? Not even he seemed to know.

As the day faded away, a young Star of the Arcturai awoke and gazed at the world sleepily. A soft smile graced her twilit face, which seemed to shine in the growing darkness. Back in Dreamspace, she'd be coming out to shine around this time, as was her position as an evening star. Rising lightly on her hooves as any dancer, she stretched her long legs and tossed her flowing mane, swishing her leonine tail. Time to go see who was out on this fine evening.
Miyu got onto good enough snow to get into a trot, moving toward a little meadow just below the snowline affording a magnificent view of the night sky and the Dreamspace the Fallen Stars had left by accident. As she moved, she used the stars, the moon, and her own horn as light, bathing the wintry world with soft silvers and lavenders. She was admittedly glad of the silks adorning her body, though she ruefully wished that they were made of something more resistant to snow and ice and water. Such was life. As she traveled, a wind came up, causing her to shiver and, unnoticed to her, caused the enchanted night-blooming cereus flowers she always bore to lose petals, only for those petals to ride in the direction of a moon-wrapped stallion nearby.

Wings pulling him further away from the point in which he had come to be at, Yue's pale eyes watched the ground for a good place to land once more. This wind was starting to get a little heavy for him as the clouds were moving away from the moon and its light was starting to peek through. Finding a suitable place, oblivious of the other that was within the same area. With wings folding just right, Yue dropped to the ground and landed quite easily as he never once lost his balance... that was unless he was startled or taken by complete surprise. Any case, with wings folded close to his sides, mane and tail laying themselves out along the ground making it look like he had come from the snow itself.
Taking one last glance at the skies over head, the wind brought something with it this time other then himself. Small flower petals, seemed strange that the drifted at this time of year. Perhaps in the dreamspace, but seemed unlikely down here. Following the travel of the petals, he caught sight of someone else. Tilting his head to one side while stretching out his neck to see a little better. The form seemed to shake, whatever it was. Now he was curious, if his little companion had fallen with him, he would had some advice that Yue would surely ignore for the moment. With one careful step after another he approached another star that had fallen through the 'mirror' to the plane below.
"You alright, miss?"

Miyu had been gazing upward and prancing in a slow circle to observe the appearance of each and every star back in Dreamspace when the stranger landed and approached her. When she heard his quiet voice, she stopped prancing and turned to face him, her violet eyes alighting on his deep periwinkle ones. He was a Lyra, which Miyu hadn't seen in a while, with an unbelievably long white mane and tail bound and trailing through the frosty grass. Blue violet and deep coral gems, as well as gold, and white and blue violet silks adorned him, making his pale appearance glow like a moon.
She smiled softly in her eternally sleepy way. "I'm perfectly fine. My flowers just seem to always be blooming and losing petals. Part of the enchantment, if I recall correctly," she added in the sweet voice of someone who always seems halfway between dreams and waking. "I'm Miyu. I was an evening star in Dreamspace. What's your name, moon-bright one?" she asked gently.

Yue had watched the mare as she watched him in turn. He took in the many purple hues of her coat and adornments. Turning his head to one side a little, he listened to the horned mare as she spoke. In the mean time trying to remember the name of her kind, he had been alone for so long after those around him faded from being. So long in the darkness of the moon's shadow where not but the hint of light shone in a great millennia.
"My name's Yue. I was one of those lost in the Moon's shadow. Watching the younger stars blossom and fade. But now, I have passed through the mirror to the brighter side of the moon." His pale face rose towards the moon. How long had it been that he was trapped in the moon's shadow? Too long, he had forgotten the count. Bathed now in the moon's light it seemed.. Refreshing. "An evening star huh? What has brought you here then? Someone as lovely as yourself, it must have been a long fall from the dreamspace to land here, and unscathed."

Miyu smiled softly. "One from the moon's shadow, huh? I have heard sad and lonely things of those lost in the moon's shadow. You must be happier to be in the moon's light." She had heard little of those in the moon's shadow, and nothing had been happy. Compared to living in the moon's shadow, the Fall must have been an enormous blessing.
"I fell as we all do, traveling serenely through the heavens until I came across a weak spot and Fell." She smiled a touch sadly. "I landed in the snow a little higher than here, and the snow cushioned and shortened my fall, so I was unhurt and the Fall was not as long as one might fear." Miyu turned her face to briefly gaze toward the night sky. "Sometimes, I miss coming out to shine around this time, but not always. There are beautiful things here, too."

Yue listened to the mare as she spoke of hearing a little about those that had lived within the shadow of the moon. While is had been dreadful, he had come to know it like his own wings. To know its little places to hide from those that had come to madness in the darkness. He was one of the few that survived and kept hold of ones sanity. So many he had seen fall to the darkness and try and thrive on those that passed too close to harm. His head tilting to one side a little, there was much to be said about the darkness, much he would rather forget.
"The back side of the mirror had tormented so many before my fall. So many lost themselves and became the shadow itself to thrive on the light of others to sustain themselves. It wasn't the best of existences." He turned his head to look back at Miyu, "Those that did fall, I fear might not have found it a blessing the way you think. I fear that some might have brought their darkness here to prey on others as they did up there."
Yue stretched his wings a little, there was an ache in the muscles. It was one thing to fall, it was another to cushion it with ones own abilities to. He was thankful that his wings hadn't been torn from his body as he used them to slow himself enough to not hit the ground too hard. Folding the gossamer white feather back to his sides, he flinched slightly.
"I am glad that some of us have safer landings than others. I... Pulled a stupid move out of my panic. One I am sure I will regret sooner than I want." It was there he left it. He didn't need anyone really worrying about him, his wings would heal, the muscles would just be sore and the flight he had not too long before... Hadn't also been the best of ideas either.

That was a dark thought. That, while some of the nicer or more neutral Stars had fallen, so had ones of a darker nature. Probably true. Darkness never truly vanished, no matter how intensely bright the world became. If anything, such intense light could make one blind to the shadows' presence.
"At the very least, this could constitute a new start," she said quietly. "Who knows? This new world might be quite amazing in its own way, and might allow new paths to open beneath our hooves."
The stretching of the stallion's wings caught her violet eyes. Snowy white and vast, they beautifully complemented his pale appearance, so like the moon itself.
But Miyu also caught the stiffness and the flinch. Both telltale of a hard Fall. In the darkness, a lavender began to suffuse her horn, and she approached the Lyra stallion gracefully, shyly, like a dancer.
"Pardon me if I'm being too presumptuous...but I am an Arcturus. I can at the very least ease the pain in your wings, if not outright heal the damage. Would you like me to attend to your wings?"
