The Dedicated PokéNerds' Guild Rules

1. You Must Be a Fan of the Pokémon Franchise
Normally, this isn't going to be an issue, but you should only join if you are, in any way, a fan of the Pokémon franchise. If you join, and you're not interested in Pokémon, then why would you join this guild? This guild is going to be focusing on Pokémon (video games, television anime, trading card games, or anything else related to the franchise).

Quote:
Constant anti-Pokémon will be viewed as spam, and you will be accounted for with our "thee strikes, you're out" rule. You will be only given two warnings, and if you go beyond that you will be booted from the guild for being a repeated offender.

2. You Must Follow Gaia Online's Terms of Service (T.o.S.)
If you're going to join, you must follow Gaia Online's Terms of Service.

Quote:
This guild will not tolerate anyone breaking Gaia Online's T.o.S. Any member caught breaking Gaia Online's T.o.S will be immediately banned from this guild, and may possibly be reported to a site moderator with evidence turned in as well.

3. No Advertising Anything Outside of TGoDP
As a growing guild, I know members would have temptations of advertising anything outside of this guild with us; just remember, it is fully acceptable if you use your signature for advertising. However, any blatant threads/posts for advertising/promoting/recruiting or for anything else outside of TGoDP is NOT allowed without prior permission from one of guild captains. Any guild crew reserve the right to remove any such threads/post without prior notice.

Quote:
Constantly advertising other guilds/threads/sites, etc. without approval by any of guild captains will be viewed as spam, and you will be subject to our "three strikes, you're out" rule. You will be only given two warnings, and if you go beyond that you will be booted from the guild for being a repeated offender.

4. Do Not Spam the Guild's Forums
Your post/thread that will be counted as spam will just get deleted. This is a real pain having to clean all of the spam; and to emphasize, DO NOT BUMP IN THE GUILD'S MAIN FORUM! This is really pointless, but if you're going to post such nonsense please keep it in the Chatterbox subforum. And please do NOT spam for trades, battles, etc. because this is clearly unreasonable.

Quote:
If you have something to say, feel free to say it but one word posts that do not have anything relative to add onto any given conversation will be viewed as spam and will be subject to our "three strikes, you're out" rule. You will be only given two warnings, and if you go beyond that you will be booted from the guild for being a repeated offender.

5. Flaming & Trolling
Please be smart when you are going to "flame", because we do not to attract trollers who actually start flaming and flamebaiting within; additionally, the guild crew does not tolerate any type of discriminatory slurs and the excessive use of such derogatory language which will result in the revoking of your membership to the guild.

Quote:
Constant flaming, use of derogatory language, etc. will be viewed as trolling, and you will be subject to our "three strikes, you're out" rule. You will be only given two warnings, and if you go beyond that you will be booted from the guild for being a repeated offender.

6. Profanity & Post Level
There are young ones roaming inside and outside of the guild, so do your best to keep your posts clean. We understand if it slips out sometimes, but some members may find certain words offensive. We also do not want the guild to be reported to a site moderator because of too much profanity.

Quote:
Offenses made against this rule will be viewed on a case by case basis, and most offenses will not be counted against you. However, if we ask you to stop the use of such offensive language and you defiantly persist, we reserve the right to view such actions as insubordination, and you will be subject to our "three strikes, you're out" rule. You will be only given two warnings, and if you go beyond that you will be booted from the guild for being a repeated offender.

7. Maturity
Everyone jokes around sometimes, but please know your limits and take them into consideration, and respect the fact that everyone has their own limits as well. A joke can quickly turn into a feud, and I'm sure neither the crew or any of the members want to be putting out fires by the end of the day.

Quote:
If the guild crew feels like something has gone too far or far too long and asks you to stop and you defiantly persist, such actions will be viewed as trolling/insubordination and you will be subject to our "three strikes, you're out" rule. You will be only given two warnings, and if you go beyond that you will be booted from the guild for being a repeated offender.

8. Spelling & Grammar
When talking to others, try and keep your spelling and/or grammar errors low. No one wants a person "T@1kig L|K 7h1s" (Talking Like This). If you try to be serious about this, that's good! But if someone is bothered by your grammar and spelling, tell them kindly that you're not good with grammar and/or spelling. Being serious about this is a good thing because no one will think your a mindless goofball. Just try and be serious about this and it'll all work out nice for you and everyone else.

Quote:
Offenses made against this rule will be viewed on a case by case basis, and most offenses will not be counted against you. However, if we ask you to stop the use of such incomprehensible language(s) and you defiantly persist, we reserve the right to view such actions as insubordination and you will be subject to our "three strikes, you're out" rule. You will be only given two warnings, and if you go beyond that you will be booted from the guild for being a repeated offender.

9. Have Fun!
Have fun and be yourself! This guild is a place to meet new people with the same interests and to share experiences with. Gain something from being here! Make friends and be heard, because we want to know about you!

Guild Etiquette

1. The Hacking Device Disclosure
After countless thinking, I have decided that we will enforce the voluntary disclosure of any use of Action Replay (AR), Gameshark (GS) or any other video game hacking device. No one in this guild will their express strong disapproval of one's use of hacking devices; however, we feel it's best for those who do use such devices to disclose this information in order to give others a choice whether or not they wish to interact (DS-to-DS) with the equipped user, prior to any possible battles or trades that may occur thereafter. Failure to voluntarily disclose this information will not result in the removal from this guild, but may result from your removal of the Battle Subway, Leaders' Stadium, and/or any other officially held guild event(s) or tournament(s) which ban the use of such Pokemon; however, battles involving hacked Pokémon may take place in the Pokémon Global Link and the Classical Battle Park subforums, with proper notice underlining that you plan on using such illegitimately altered Pokémon. Upon acceptance into the guild, please state whether or not you use Action Replay, Gameshark, or any other form of hacking devices in the [: ~ Introductions ~ :] sticky. Although this is generally voluntary, this disclosure is mandatory for those wishing to participate in any of the guild-sponsored tournaments and/or events.

2. D/Cing From Battles
Disconnecting from a battle because you're losing just plainly makes you a poor sport. Whether you're going to win or lose, please show your opponent the respect they deserve by finishing the battle until the very end.

3. Be Active; Post (and Reply) Often
What a good way to stay involved in the guild. No one appreciates someone who rarely responds. Come on in one and all and join the fun! Staying involved will benefit you and everyone else in many good ways. So please, post, stay, and have fun! And if you ever have to leave for a certain amount of time, it's recommended that you make arrangements especially if you are entered in a guild-sponsored tournament or event.

The Plaza of the Dedicated PokéNerds
This is the main forum, so typically everything takes place here. General topics are posted here, along with the guild announcements. Activity booms up here, so stay here to get in touch with the guild's latest updates, topics and announcements.

White Forest: Role Playing
Amity Square, the finest place to role play. Gather role players of all, and start your own role play, or just join one. Either way, it'll be tons of fun at Amity Square!

Pokémon Global Link: Wi-Fi Battling
Welcome to the Battle Zone! Here is where all of the non-structured battles take place. Generally, this is just stating that battle restrictions may not apply here. So, come on over to the Battle Zone, and challenge trainers for testing a battle team and/or movesets, or just to battle for fun even if you're bored. You are in control of your battle setup here! Be sure to state your in-game name, and your Friend Code if you wish to battle.

Nacrene Museum: Memorable Threads
Welcome to the Canalave Library! Here you will encounter old, abandoned threads that should be honored and recognized. So if you're missin' the old times in threads you were active in, come on by into the Canalave Library and read into the past. Who knows, coming here might make you cry a little bit xd .

Colossal Colosseum: Tournaments & Events
This subforum is for guild-sponsored tournaments/events. Remember that only the announcements of these guild-sponsors tournaments/events will be in the Main Forum! Also, sharing any Pokémon tournament/event idea is welcomed!

Global Terminal & the Pokémon Daycare: Breeders and Traders Unite!
Also known as, the Global Trading Station (GTS), this area is for those who wish to trade Pokémon and/or items. It's helpful if you specify what Pokémon and/or item your looking for, or to specify what you are giving away. You may also find Pokémon Breeders here because the Pokémon Daycare has now merged with the Global Terminal. Please be sure to state your in-game name, and your Friend Code if you wish to trade!

Nacrene City Warehouses: Abandoned Threads (Recycle Bin)
The Harbor Inn, what a dreadful place. Junk is stored here; just a short way of saying old, forgottened, abandoned threads are placed here. If you entered this place, it wouldn't be such a beautiful sight. Crew only, and don't worry, no secrets are hidden here.

Leaders' Stadium: Gym Leaders, Elite Four & Champion

Once you've signed up, go ahead and face the greatest Pokémon trainers of all.

Leaders' Stadium League Champions
Anyone who has beaten all of the eight Gym Leaders of Leaders' Stadium, or has gotten farther into the league is a League Champion. You are also considered a League Champion if you're a Gym Leader, one of the Elite Four, or the Champion of the league. This is a Hall of Fame in most cases, and only the best of the best can become a League Champion. Do you have what it takes to become one of the League Champions?

Castelia Street: Art & Stories
Gather all, to see all kinds of art creations. Hey, may be you can setup an art shop here! Come here everyone, to the Home of Art! This is where you'll find everything artsy-like.

Loudred's Boombox: Off-Topic Nonsense
Want to talk about anything else but Pokémon? Hey, this is what this subforum was created for. Make sure you read, and understand the rules of this subforum before lolly-gagging, and just posting whatever you want. There are limitations, so be careful!

National Trainers' University: Basic & Advanced Schooling
Welcome to the National Trainers' University! You shall get basic and advanced schooling here (just like the title says). Tips, guides/walkthroughs, rated teams, moveset help, etc. All of the Pokémon schooling information is here! All of the intelligent minds of Pokémon are here! This is the best place to go, so you can learn all about Pokémon.

Officer Jennys' Kiosk: Questions Asked, Answers Given
"Officer Jennys' reporting for... Q's & A's?" Hmm, the Officer Jennys aren't here, but other members are the Officer Jennys because they are the help. So, report to this subforum if you have any serious questions about the guild and/or about Pokémon (the guild's subject). Any and all questions shall be posted here!
