Interestingly, from the outside, the only thing that made this ship stand out is its sheer size - it looks large enough to accommodate the larger natural forms of some students... At the same time. Other than that, it looks like an ordinary vessel used to transport people - with grass-like carpeting on the deck, two portholes for cannons on each side and a reinforced pointy end for potential ramming into things! Yup, those are totally normal.Stats WELCOME ABOARD R.A.G.E.
Boat size: Large Number of days traveled so far: 0 Food starting off: 200 Boat Fear ability: 0 Teacher Bonus: Being BFFs with animals have its benefits! 8D

... The less you'll probably hurt yourself. "Morning students! I hope you left your Minipets in the dorms or they'll just die where we're headed to - you haven't learnt how to control your FEAR enough to sustain yours and theirs, I'm afraid."
The captain of the boat - none other than the Minipet Training Professor - was thankfully dressed appropriately for the occasion. Well, sort of. At least you wouldn't have to worry about having your eyes burned out of their sockets every time there is a sea breeze strong enough to lift up his loincloth since he had decided to wear a pair of pants instead. He checks the piece of paper he had been given before inviting you on board, leading the way with a smile, "Welcome on board RAGE... We'll be here for a while. Please be careful not to step on Vald in the meantime!"
Seems like he bought his invisible dog with him on the trip. There might be a closet in his room and he might be sustaining Vlad with his own FEAR... And it seems like the well-mannered Professor might just end you if you try to question him regarding having a Minipet on board. After all, his rage was enough to stop the other professors from questioning him. Dare you try?
"Now, let me brief you on the layout of this ship..."
Student HP West : 10 / 22 Kasumi : 12 / 22 Barth : 12 / 22 Sepheran : 12 / 22 Mandy : 12 / 22 Sharra : 12 / 22 Ilztmyr'ree : 12 / 22 Natalia : 12 / 22 Tomoko : 12 / 22
Ship Layout Deck: Wide and long with comfortable grass-like carpeting. You can't see from one end to another because its just that big. xoxBow - Wide enough for students to climb on (provided they have a good sense of balance) to perform the famous "HOLD ME" scene from Titanic. xoxCrow's nest - Serving as ToT guide - aka SR's - "nest" for the trip; students advised to stay away. xoxStern - It is covered, but the roof can be assessed by climbing along the side, where a ladder had been fixed. xoxTop of Stern - Wide enough for several students to chill on, it is also where the steering wheel is. xoxCover area at Stern - An empty space with an opening that reveals a flight of stairs leading below the deck...
Below Deck: A narrow corridor goes from the stairs all the way to the other end. It is dimly lit with yellow light. xoxGhouls' bunk - Red door (Right). Shared bunk, with 6 two-storied wooden beds and 3 covered portholes. Beds are self-assigned. xoxBoils' bunk - Blue door (Right). Shared bunk, with 6 two-storied wooden beds and 3 covered portholes. Beds are self-assigned. xoxMalcolm's room - Green door (Right). You will not enter; it is also sandwiched between the boil and ghoul bunks for a reason. xoxBathroom - Located in each bunk; three shower heads and separate room for toileting. Lukewarm water supplied... For now. xox??? - Yellow door (Left). xoxSick bay - Black door (Left). Has a bed, stocked with medicines for seasickness and common illnesses; Malcolm would rather you walk it off. xoxDining area - Silver door (Left). Simple long table with 12 chairs; it is doubtful this room will be used for its intended purpose. xoxKitchen - Door at the end of corridor. Clean, stocked with food; largest area on the ship. Students expected to cook or absorb ship's FEAR for "food".
IMPORTANT OOC NOTES To attract Malcolm/SR's attention, please BOLD and use HOTPINK font on the name or question.
At least once a day, an individual or the entire ship will receive an exciting event! Full of adventure and surprise! These should be treated as RP prompts! They may be a bit disruptive to any super deep RP interactions on ship, but you are very welcome to move and continue that RP into a private thread (completing it and meeting the word reqs will gain you a growth point for regular RP)! If you wish to RP here, might help if you put where your student is at the top of your post in bold/caps/something eye-catching or THIS "ORP" IS GOING TO BE MESSY!
You are also welcome to make small journal-like posts for your character if you're worried about meeting the event's min post requirements! What are the min requirements? It is a mystery!
If you find yourself short on time, and are having trouble interacting with the rest of the ship, feel free to contact me and Malcolm will totally make everyone do something cool. 8D

May or may not involve birds, death, dancing, singing, tetris, tears, smiles, RAGE or all of the above.Start - Day 0 I recognize a few of these names... Hopefully, we can all get along or I'll be forced to get them to get along. I have a few ice-breakers in mind... If that ToT SR gets in the way, I have the perfect place to put him...
On Board West (Smerdle) Kasumi (Lufor) Barth (Toshi) Sepheran (Taska Neko) Mandy (Rosie) Sharra (Sephiros) Ilztmyr'ree (Moonlit-raven) Natalia (Shia) Tomoko (Pach) Day 1 So... There was this Naiad. She seemed rather fascinated with the boat and followed us for quite a while! She showed us a shortcut, which was very helpful of her. Hopefully, all our days would be as smooth sailing as this. Day 3 I was just thinking about how boring it was when this giant squid that attacked the boat; I managed to fend it off before it could destroy the boat, but it grabbed West off the boat. Luckily, most of the students who were present helped and we managed to get the squid to release him and pull him back on the boat. He's injured, but it'll heal... For now, I'm so proud of those students! Day 5 Seems like the giant squid left us alone for good; we sailed on peacefully (albeit boringly). I tried thinking hard for something exciting to happen, but developed a headache instead and went to take a power nap while leaving out scuba diving equipment for them... The students looked surprisingly relieved as I left. Maybe they understand that a rested captain is more likely to lead better? Either way, it seems like we're on quite a relaxing trip... Need more excitement though, in my opinion.

"So, apparently, I'm stuck on a boat for Jack knows how many days with a half naked Shaman and a bunch of inexperienced kids," The Trick or Treater grumbled loudly as the students started to board the boat, not caring about the fact that both the 'half naked Shaman' and 'inexperienced kids' were able to hear him perfectly well. He rolled his eyes, adjusting his jacket before walking over to the main mast of the ship and holding onto the rungs built into it.
"That's where I'll be," He pointed upwards at the crow's nest with a scowl that dared any of the students to disturb him, "I'll probably host a few activities for you kids once in a while, I suppose... Or I'll be out of a job. Show me your rage..."
It is interesting to note that he doesn't speak. HE YELLS, AND HAD BEEN YELLING SINCE HE OPENED HIS MOUTH. He also named the boat until Malcolm renamed it by making RAGE into R.A.G.E. Maybe one of them will explain if asked?
---
The Daily Game - Try once every 24 hours! I will post this at the front too, but once every 24 hours, you may attempt to climb up the crow's nest to disturb SR and see what exactly he's hiding up there!
Once every 24 hours, all you have to do is to roll a 100-sided die while RPing your student's attempt to climb up; if you get a number that is 90 and above, you had succeeded in reaching the top of the crow's nest! If its below 90, SR's bird buddy spotted you and decided to empty its bowels on you to forced you to go away - and it has unlimited bowel bullets due to eating seeds from Professor Cadmus' Sea Weed boat! |D It can be washed off though... In your next post.
If you get a 90 and above, roll a 10-sided dice in your next post to decide what you grabbed and post your Minipet profile name so I know who to send it to! In this post, RP your student grabbing something randomly before SR screams in their face and they're forced to leave.
PS. The thing will ALWAYS be a slingshot (Yes, Malcolm stole took some from SR) but you're rolling to see which one you get!

(( West's gettin' ON A BOAT. ))
Prior to boarding, West had definitely been secretly excited about this journey. Unlike what seemed like the majority of his fellow students, the wrath demon had found his trip to Christmas Town to be one of the most exhilarating experiences of his young life (minus, perhaps, carrying Barth's dead weight up a mountain), and if this boat ride was anywhere near as much fun, it would trump his boring-a** classes any day. He had packed lightly but appropriately, he thought, with enough different sorts of clothing to keep him comfortable during any sort of weather, but little else. He trusted he'd be fed, even though that trust was probably misplaced.
Once he saw the boat, West was more than secretly excited. He was ecstatic.
First off, the damn thing was effin' huge. As he strode up the gangplank and glanced left, then right, then left again, West couldn't help but marvel at the fact that he was unable to actually see the prow or stern from where he stood. He hoped there was a fight brewing somewhere in the water because if there was, this boat was going to kick its a**.
Then there was the name. What could be more fitting than a boat named after his favorite emotion? It was a good omen, surely. West tried to call up some rage of his own with which to meet the figures already on board, but all he could muster was a sort of buoyant bubbliness that pushed its way up out of his chest and forced his lips and teeth into a wide grin. That's right. West was giddy.
"Hey! P'fess'r Malcolm!" he said to his minipet teacher, "'N Vlad!" this to the empty harness nearby, "'N... whoever." West didn't recognize the yelling... person, but he certainly approved of the Trick or Treater's volume. He took a deep breath. So much anger. He looked to the professor again. "This boat'is'jus'... um... awesome." His smile pushed the half-healed cut on his cheek into a garish pucker. He was gushing. He didn't care.
So happy.
"I'm gonna... West shifted his suitcase slightly in his good hand, the other held close to his body. The boil's coat mostly hid the fact that his right forearm was in a cast, but any deception was unintentional. "Gonna go finda place t'put this," he finished. Hopefully he wouldn't get lost.

(( BOAT TIME, Y'ALL )) (cuz I wanna be cool like Smerdoo. Who doesn't?)
Kasumi was utterly, ridiculously thrilled. The ghoul had packed, repacked and then rerepacked all throughout the night and was thankful she was a ghost, so that made packing stupidly easy. Instead of a carry-on luggage or duffelbag, Kasumi had a small backpack slung about her shoulders. She had a small parasol tucked into it as well in case some of the other ladies wanted to lay about on deck. The onryo didn't know many of the people on board, but she greeted the professor with earnest. "Good morning, Professor! It's a pleasure to see you. I'm very excited about this trip! The boat looks so nice!"
Before she could make any other comments, Kasumi dashed off in her rather Asian sandals and started to inspect the boat. The person yelling up top was something she figured that came with the scenery and she didn't pay him too much mind at first. No, she was too excited to be uptight about all this. She didn't care much about where she could put her luggage either, since it was a backpack and was very light to boot. Whenever someone came on board, the ghost enthusiastically waved to them.
"I do hope we get to go sight-seeing..."

"PROFESSOR MALCOOOOOOLM!"
Alright, so the first two on board weren't the only kids kind of excited about this trip...the voice accented by what could vaguely be considered a Russian tongue, belting out across the dock from grinning lips...
Natalia looked eager to board the R.A.G.E., emulating exuberance in her wide-eyed approach. High heels, definitely not suitable for the trip at hand but simply to DIE for otherwise, clicked at the end of two, extremely long legs--both of which barely clothed in black, ultra-mini shorts. Her stomach and chest were both completely exposed, a gold bathing suit top peeking out between the long sleeved, half-cardigan she wore on top of it...The monster's outfit showcased the same sort of fashionable take-off as it had the day before; very apparently ready for sun, waves, and sea breeze in that dark blue hair.
Natalia was all smiles, ears hiked higher than usual on the sides of her head, tail curled against her back in the same, unusual manner. She didn't look to be concerned, most of that confidence sprouting from the professor that would be chaperoning them--but deep within her a seed of doubt did dwell. The Academy wasn't known for safe trips, after all, and considering the fact that the lemur couldn't remember everything from the train crash...
WELL there was hope and optimism on the ghouls side at least, as her white skin looked and smelled to be coated in fragrant tanning lotion the closer she got. Those sleeves of hers covered her arms entirely and even managed to conceal the fists that gripped both of her suitcases...they didn't, however, hide the additional bag pack hanging off her shoulder, that looked to be stuffed to the very brim with clothing.
She may or may not have over packed. BUT ONE COULD NEVER BE TOO CAREFUL. It would seem that tiny bit of doubt in her was squared away in each of her carryon's...aw well.
Taking the final step on board, the lemur offered those she could see a quick nod of her head before settling her citrus gaze on Malcolm. "HEY! Hey! I'm just going to go put these down and then I'll be back. It's so great to see you professor!"

Booooaaatt.....
Unlike those who had boarded before her, Tomoko looked terrified to get on the ship. She looked at the boat, looked at the water, looked at the boat, the water, the bag she had around one shoulder...which she quickly opened to make sure her precious cargo was still safely tucked inside, before she took an uncertain step onto the deck.. ... ......
And immediately started to panic.
It wasn't a loud-panic, but her tails puffed up and her ears weren't quite sure where they should be position-wise. Somehow amongst this, however, Tomoko hobbled over to the middle of the deck and planted herself there, looking completely at a loss for what to do besides not immediately throw herself back onto land and cry.

Boarding dat boat.
It was good that his fellow boat-goers were excited about the trip.
Barth was in a murky, 7 AM fog. He barely did evenings, nights, and afternoons. Mornings, never. He looked more like a zombie than a demon. Being up this early was practically a virtue.
His only consolation was the tropical breakfast smoothies that Christof had made him. Christof had done the packing, too: a light and singular duffel bag that could double as a pillow. He was dressed warmly, with a smart jacket to combat the cold sea air, a brimmed hat, and sunglasses folded into his shirt pocket. He hadn't actually been at the auditorium, but he had been briefed via text.
After getting up at an hour that could only be described as godly, he gave his snailarium and large-scream skellyvision a last unhappy look and headed for the docks. His neighbor, he noted, had also been dressed for proper boating - that is, the luxurious pleasure cruise sort. There were at least two yachts in the boating line up. Boat #3 was not one of these.
Barth gave Riley his second breakfast smoothie before they went to their separate boats, so he wouldn't have to carry it.
He tried to remember if he had ever actually seen a sunrise in person before. He didn't think he had. Yet here he was, with the sun bleeding over the always-October sky. His first sunrise.
He decided he hated sunrises.
And then, of course, he had to climb upstairs to the boat.
"Morning, sirs," Barth said blackly as he slugged his way up the gangplank. Saying the word morning was like spitting out spiders. He refused to call it good. What kind of people got up at this hour regularly? He knew. Hard workers. The prepared. Everything he was, by principle, against.
He took another melancholy sip from the remaining smoothie.

IM ON A BOAT.
Mandy was probably the only one that could truly sympathize with Barths hate of sunrises at the moment. This wasn't by far the first time she'd been awake to see one but it was that first time she'd done so without having slept the whole previous day.
And she hadn't had a refreshing drink made and delivered to help wake her up, instead she'd had two hysterical dolls begging not to be left alone and crying about why didn't she love them.
So it was understandable to say that she was in nowhere as good as mood as most of her shipmates.
Stumbling blearly onto the deck she breafily contemplated finding a good high place to curl up before deciding it was too much effort and collapsing right there on the deck, shifting her small suitcase to use as a pillow. Now if only whoever was yelling would be quiet all would be better, the gentle rocking of the boat was surprisingly soothing.

((I'M BOARDING THE BOAT))
Sepheran yawned having got up extra early to see if he could find Professor Malcolm, course even though he had gotten up early he still only just managed to get on board at the right time...Sepheran wasn't a very good morning person.
The basilisk boy sighed lightly holding onto his small luggage as he looked about the scene. The boat surely was large enough...in fact this boat seemed huge! That was actually quite relieving to see, especially if something happened on the sea. This way they would have much more room to move abut or run for their lives.
As the other began to head to their rooms or explore the ship Sepheran stepped towards the professor. "Excuse me Professor," Sepheran called out. "Am I going to have to leave Liannan...?" Sepheran questioned his hand moving to lightly pat the white snake on his shoulders who curled around Sepheran turning her head towards Malcolm her tongue flicking slightly. "If I didn't have to bring her I'd let her stay in my room with my other minipets...but if at all possible I'd really like to have her, she helps me get around," Sepheran added softly opening his foggy white eyes as he looked towards the blob that was Professor Malcom.

((Getting on the Boat!))
He hadn't gotten much sleep the night before, his excitement for the trip keeping him from sleeping soundly, but he wasn't half as tired as some of the other students appeared to be as they boarded the boat.
He glanced around for Sepheran, hoping the other boy had gotten here in time to get his question answered, since there was apparently a good reason for the restriction. He didn't see him yet, but that didn't mean anything, but he did notice a certain werelemur from the Christmas Event, and classes. "Natalia!" he yelled, waving. "Glad to see you're on this boat!" She was carrying more luggage than he thought had been allowed, but that wasn't his problem. His bag was within the required size limit, and then some, considering that it was only a backpack.
It wasn't filled with much, just a couple of changes of clothes, soap, a notebook, some chocolate left over from Scarentines Day, a six pack of Mountain Doom, and his practice Piccolo. He still wasn't very good with it, but unless things went spectacularly bad, he suspected that he would have some time to practice. Perhaps he could even master 'Mary had a scary lamb' before they got back.
Still, things were going good so far, but they hadn't even left yet.

GETTIN' ON THIS HERE RAGE-BOAT!
Oh Jack it was early. Honestly, Sharra had intentionally tried to hit up classes that didn't cause him to actually arise until the sun had well begun its journey into the sky, so it was understandable that the blond boil was yawning quite a touch as he trundled over the ramp and onto the ship. He hadn't done a whole lot of...er...sailing as it were. At least it was a fairly large sort of boat, though he wasn't entirely sure as to how this trip would pan out...somehow, he rather thought he'd be trying to stick close to ol' West on this one.
Hefting his little bag, which he'd mostly packed with essentials, a couple of odds 'n' ends, and ensured there was a distinct LACK of one nosy wee Freymon (though he'd texted Yaya to remind her to double-check her things)...he then noticed that shock of rather manly pink hair, and sidled over in that direction. He would be giddy that they were on the RAGE boat, now wouldn't they? In truth, he almost wondered if this boat had been formed on sheer principle, just to have somewhere to place the wrath-demon where he wouldn't be constantly pissy. Though West was amusing pissy, since it was his constant state of existence, he just mostly had states of less-pissy.
Now, if only none of his fellow shipmates snored...mostly Barth, since the nergal boil was well aware that it was that particular demon's absolutely most adored past time, or at least it seemed to be. But even if he did, well...there was a reason some absolutely inspired fellow had invented earplugs.

On Deck.
Barth wasn't expecting the carpet.
Was this...astroturf? He tested the flooring with his sandals. Results: inconclusive. Whatever it was, Mandy was already putting it to good use. He could join her...should join her. The canvas bag was already feeling heavier. But it was important to go claim a bunk before he ended up sleeping somewhere that involved going to the back of the room and climbing. Maybe...he should...just...
Barth fell asleep next to Mandy, drink delicately held in an upright position.
Fortunately for Sharra, Barth didn't snore. Mostly as a survival tactic, to avoid predators.

[ON THE DECK OF THE SHIP! WELCOME GANG!]
"Morning students! Looks like we're all-"
"OIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII, YOU GUYS, I'M GONNA GO AND SLEEP UP IN MY NEST," The ToT guide's voice interrupted the Professor's, being loud enough to be heard above the crashing of the waves, and probably loud enough to jolt anyone who was half asleep awake, feeling them with a feeling of... Rage. He jerked a thumb upwards to gesture at the crow's nest before making his way over to the main mast of the ship, giving everyone a scowl on the way, "JACKING DISTURB ME-"
Strike one in Malcolm's head.
"AND I WILL JACKING KILL YOU-"
Strike two in Malcolm's head.
"WITH MY JACK DAMN FISTS-"
Strike three in Malcolm's head. With that, the Shaman calmly walked over, towering over the slightly shorter ToT guide as his eyes narrowed, placing a hand on the other's shoulder. The students were not able to see it from where they were, probably, but there was something rather creepy and intimidating about the smile on the Professor's face. It was basically the calm before the storm - or rather, all the time invested into controlling his temper paid off.
"Do not - I repeat - do not interrupt me while I'm addressing my students," He begun, his smile growing a little as his grip on the ToT guide's shoulder tightened, causing SR to wince, "And never, ever swear in front of them, or I will end you myself." The last part was said in a whisper - no need to frighten the students over something so trivial.
"I enjoy your rage." It was probably the first time anyone would hear SR not yelling, but there it was. However, Malcolm's words seemed to have affected him as he quietly climbed up the rung to the crow's nest above, muttering something under his breath.
"Right, as I was saying," As Malcolm turned back to address the students, his expression softened and giving off a surprisingly reliable feel, "It seems like everyone is here... I'm afraid everyone will have to share a bunk, but I made sure that its huge enough to give everyone ample space. Besides, I hope that you will learn to take care of each other since we'll be... Here a while. We have some time before we go, so feel free to explore the ship! Just stay out of my quarters as well as the room with the yellow door... Each door is painted a different color - pick up a *piece of paper from beside the stairs at the stern, there's a written guide on it."
[Basically the ship layout as in the second post.]
Turning to Sepheran, he nodded, "She'll survive since she is not a Minipet - beautiful specimen, by the way. Do remember to feed her though." A thoughtful pause then followed as he grinned, walking towards where Tomoko was. Giving the kitsune a smile and a reassuring pat on her head, he then looked at Natalia, giving the ghoul a grin, "I'll be counting on you to take care of her."
Now addressing all the students, he raised an eyebrow, slipping out several slingshots from beneath the fur cloak he was wearing and giving all of the students one, "Lets play a game, shall we? Stand on the top of the stern of the boat and shoot the paper balls that can be found in a basket there at SR - he doesn't seem to understand the fact that he's on school property and ought to follow the rules of this ship... Ah well, it'll be good target practice for everyone, yes?" He grinned, "You have until the end of the day to try to score a hit, but I only have enough paper balls for each student to try three times. The student who comes the closest to it gets to keep that slingshot."
[OOC NOTE: If you can't tell, the two adults on the boat can't get along. Personally, I think SR has a crush on Malcolm. >[ Anyway, go ahead and RP your student uh, using the slingshot by rolling a 100-sided die. The closer it is to 100, the closer your student got to hitting the crow's nest/SR. If you get 100, grats! You made Malcolm very happy. xDD
You have 24 hours from this post to try! Meanwhile, go ahead and explore the ship, play titanic, run around... Don't cook though, since its still early and the kitchen is locked.]
