Theluji did not worry often...but this was a time in which he did. He’d not seen Jukwa in some time, and Kizuka’s cubs were nearly grown now...they had no need for the playmates he’d originally thought to give them. But it made him wonder...was Jukwa okay? She was playful, but she certainly didn’t seem the type to back out on her word. And she would have returned again to at least tell him his seed hadn’t taken. The snow-and-ice colored lion stood up and shook himself, the frown on his face growing. Had something happened? Had she lost her way, or been detained? What if something even worse had happened to her? He began pacing back and forth, making a new trail in the earth at his paws.
She seemed a strong lioness. So...maybe it was just that she’d decided to keep all the cubs for herself. But no...she just didn’t seem the sort! Perhaps it would be best to talk with Fasihi or Kizuka? See if they’d had any visions of Jukwa or a lioness that looked like Jukwa. He stopped and sat again, sighing. He really was worried. Very worried. Especially if his seed HAD taken. Because then...it wasn’t just Jukwa that could have been hurt, but his cubs as well. And the thought of any cubs, his or another’s, being hurt...it made him cringe. They were still so young, and had their lives ahead of them. And thinking of how he’d watched Kizuka’s cubs grow up made the paternal feeling even stronger.
Perhaps he would need to go and find her. He’d consult with Fasihi and Kizuka first, of course. He didn’t want to go charging off if there was no danger to Jukwa...simply a case of delays. But...he just couldn’t help but worry. He snorted. Damn...he was going soft! This wouldn’t do! Grumbling, he got to his paws once more and began the walk to Fasihi and Kizuka’s den. Damn his worrying, it’d be his downfall, for certain.
