Personality - Eira is quiet at times, and is very inquisitive. When she is studying something that is new to her, she gazes at it for as long as she can until she can figure its history. Once Eira understands what you’re all about, she begins to open up and will show her happy self. At some times Eira can be easily angered, and the aura that’s placed around her can fill a room with hate, and the only thing you can do is to wait it out. But when she’s in a good happy mood, Eira sings softly, almost like a whispering hum.
Bio – Eira was born and raised in the Arctic, which explains her frail and pale complexion. For years Eira lived off the meat from polar bears, foxes, and other wildlife that lives in it's freezing cold climates.
Though her species of mermaids can be ferocious when it comes to living in such a hostile environment, Eira is only a few of her kind with a gentle heart, at times her happiness results in her singing which echoes over the seas.
By the time she was fourteen, on a dark day, a fishing ship came into the cove where her and family lived, and captured her and killed the rest of her kind. It was a murderous blood bath, but there was nothing Eria could do, she just watched as her family and friends were killed before her eyes.
On the journey back from the arctic, after the killing and harvesting of the tails of the mermaids, the captain who captured Eira, kept her in a tank in his quarters. Inside the tank were jewels; gold, silver, rubies, sapphires, and diamonds, that captain and his crew got from other pillaging. There the captain discovered that her tail was scraping against the jewels, but the only jewel that cut her was the diamonds. But instead of blood making the water murky, her blood turned into a teardrop shaped red diamond. Because of Eira's new found rarity, the captain decided to get as many red diamonds from her as he could, and then sold her on the black market, and from then on for about 3 years, Eira went from black market to black market, and even the occasional circus side shows where they put her in a glass tank filled with ocean water and ice, in order to keep her alive and well.
In a few cases where Eira was able to escape, she went from her mermaid form to human at her own will, but the down side is that she must be near the ocean. If she journeyed away too far from the ocean, in a week her body will force itself back to it’s mermaid form.
