Mr. Zyane was getting yet another new student, he was excited for this as he loved to mold young minds. Those who have yet to be tainted by experiences from other teachers. It wasn't that he had any disrespect for them..he just found that they, unlike him like to bore the students to the point of death removing any enthusiasm in learning the wonders of magic.

It was a tragic thing, but he hoped to catch as many of the young girls and boys as he was able to. This new child was born with the DNA of a seahorse. How exciting! He was pretty sure that the boy would probably have core magic of water...but that wasn't always the case..how exciting it was to discover ones magic!

Lost in his own little world the teacher was getting ready for the class completely unaware if the student had arrived yet.

As a matter of fact, Reese hadn't. He was still trying to coax Merlin down the hall towards Mr. Zyane's classroom, because evidently there was something that the little dragon had sensed as "not right". At first the hatchling had been rooted to the spot, but after five minutes of reassurance from Reese, he was starting to crawl carefully down the hall. However, every seemingly out of place sound caused him to whistle shrilly and flop his flippers around in a small panic, wanting so desperately to run to Reese for protection, but at the same time afraid to go further.

"Merlin, pleathe," Reese begged, rubbing his forehead. "Here, look...I'll go firtht."

Reese rolled himself to the door, struggling to pry it open to show his dragon that nothing was going to pop out and eat them. "Thee? Nothing to be afraid of. Now come on, or I'll have to leave you out here by yourshelf."

Well, that was all it took evidently. Merlin whined and came waddling down the hall with a small cry, his awkward feet slapping the floor as he pressed his face into Reese's side, seeking love. The seahorse boy couldn't help but smile, sighing and petting the dragon's head.

"Will you hold the door for me, pleathe?"

It was a request Merlin was all too happy to comply - especially since that meant Reese could go in first and make sure it really was okay, because there was definitely something not right about this room!

He should of looked into his research notes better, for if he had he would of realized that Reese was in a wheelchair and the long steps down into his class room would prove a problem. But he wasn't deaf...at least not yet and he heard the fearful cries of the dragon that was with his student. Turning he looked and noticed them finally entering the classroom, but would be rather stuck on the top of the staircase without any ramp to help him down.

"OH my my my, I should of forseen this.." He clucked as he walked forward to greet his student. "I do apologize, I will ask the establishment to install a wheelchair ramp for your next lesson. For now you will just have to trust in my magic to get you down safely." Thaddeus chortled as a small wave of his cane and a magic as form and solid as cement materialized down the flight of stairs to form a ramp.

"Come come my boy, time is a wasting we have so much to learn and discover today."

Reese couldn't stop Merlin on that one. The little dragon screamed, terrified by the magic, and promptly ducked as far under Reese's wheelchair as he could. Which wasn't very far, considering the width of his shoulders and the length of his neck that he had to stuff under there.

The boy groaned, trying desperately to comfort Merlin...but too late. The damage had been done, and now Merlin was shivering and whining. He glanced at his teacher as if to say 'now look what you've done and done,'...but kept his mouth shut as he spent a few moments trying to talk some sense into his dragon. However, when that didn't work, Reese would only sigh, frustrated.

"Fine, you thtay up here then," he nearly growled, sounding a bit angry, before gauging the slope of the ramp and wheeling himself down.

Some day Reese might understand that this was the way to get the desired response from Merlin. Once the dragon realized he was no longer under his rider's protective chair, he squealed again and came tumbling down the ramp. Forgetting entirely that it had not originally been there, the gray fuzzy thing would not stop until it was safely at Reese's side again.

"Tho what're we doing today?"
