Hello everyone! I've been doing avi art for a while but I never charged anyone for it, its always free! whee I'm still going to be doing a lot of free art but I want to sort of do a few commissions on the side but I'm not sure what to price my art gonk I don't want to price it too high because it puts too much pressure on it being good. But I'll let you guys decide. 3nodding What would you feel comfortable paying for my art? And would you be satisfied with the end product for that price? Here are various samples of my art. 3nodding Some of these samples are a couple years old so please keep in mind I have improved a lot since then lol Headshots: Colored - [X]Without color - [X] Chibi style headshots - [X]Full body: (I don't have a finished sample on hand but I have a sketch unfinished) Sketch - [X]Sketch 2 (currently working on it as a commission) - [X]Chibi Fullbody - [X]

whoa so glad ya asked... people put a ridiculous price on their art the lowest ive ever seen was like 50k. for a head shot.... i think a head shot should be like 1k really. hmm ur full bodys could be 4k?

I rarely get over 10k and yet I see people with avatars worth like 20million gold or whatever xp And a lot of people I talk to have so much gold that they switch their avatar around almost everyday lol

lol not me im pretty broke... the stuff i have are givin to me from a friend. who doesnt really play much. butya should get a lot of request if its cheaper

I'd say about 3k for uncolored head shots, and up to 15k for colored chibis. For regular colored full bodies, you can double that.
But then, there's inflation with Gaia gold too. A lot of people toss around a ton of gold now like it's nothing, so you could theoretically get away with charging more. Shoot, I remember when you were a big shot if you had 15k, now that's like chump change, lol.
Best bet is to set up a shop, try out some prices, and see how much you sell, then charge more or less according to how much work you want to do.
You could also do a 1g avi art shop. A lot of people like to tip with those. xD

And yeah I've been on gaia since like jan. of 2006 and I remember when 15k was A LOT of gold xd I recently just finished that commission though and this what I ended up with. The person offered me 15k to do the commission and they tipped 5k after seeing it. What do you think this art would go for generally? xp

i would say 10 for full anything and 5 for anything else. keeps it simple biggrin

I'd say 40k and under for anything I saw a person's avi art, and thought about asking them till I saw the price. It was just 100k for like a headshot, and the person was saying stuff like if you don't want to spend that much just because it's fake money you can pay e reall money. I'm think yeah right I can find somebody else!

I'd keep it below 5k.
You still need to work a lot on your art. Your anatomy needs work and a lot of the pictures look kinda smudgy. I know it's a pain to keep your hand from sliding all over the paper when drawing, but you should still try to keep the picture as clean as possible.
