She had been having the feeling for days. It was an unexplainable eagerness and restlessness that threatened to overflow and consume her. As well as any other creature that had an affinity with the moon. Tonight was the night. The full moon would be in her fully blossomed state. And this meant she would not be able to sleep tonight. Nope. Not with the moons song calling to her blood. True she could ignore it and spend a rough night trying to sleep. But why would she? The moon came around once a month. Only one night out of the month she could lose some shut eye.
But, just to insure that she could really enjoy the evening, LW had snuck in a nap during the day, nestled under and on top of her pillows. Austin was curled up next to her with Callix snuggled just under her chin. Even the little terror was curled up against her stomach. Such a rare occurrence.
Which, sadly, didn't last for more than an hour. Callix had moved, his tail in clear chomping range. Billy Bob was not fully awake but the instinct to clamp down on something that touched him kicked in when that tail flopped over him. The shriek that came after startled them all and the mini war began.
When that had finally calmed down, LW had gone to watch a movie with Alessa and do nails again. It was nice to have girl time like that every now and then. After the movie had ended, LW had said good bye to Alessa and initially planned on going back to her room, but got side tracked and went up a floor. To her best friend's room. Where she proceeded to epically lose at Scario Kart. Really? Couldn't she just win one race?! Their goofy competitive nature lasted for a while and she really wasn't sure what time it was when they both crashed.
A strong metaphysical pull tugged her awake and LW woke to find the gentle beams of the moon penetrating Ren's room. Her eyes brightened and before she was fully awake, the she-wolf was moving silently through the gryphon's room to the door, slipping out with hardly a sound. A cheesy grin spread along her lips as she pranced through the deserted halls, a few of the late nighters giving her funny looks. Her mood only increased once she made it outside the monster dorms. LW inhaled deeply of the crisp evening air, grin growing. Without a second thought, she shifted and took off into the night, towards her favorite spot.
It wasn't very far, but was located on the edge of the school grounds. Her heart started to pound and her blood seemed to spike as her pleasure at being out under the moon raced through her veins. Feet skidding to a halt, LW let out a yip of glee before throwing her head back and howling her song to the glowing orb in the sky.

It was a full moon tonight.
Ren had spent the first half of his day in classes, and the better part of his afternoon with Gabrian running around getting things for the Skullinary Club (he still did not understand how he had somehow gotten roped into being treasurer). After that he and the demon had lounged around in Gabrian's room while the ghouls had their night together, and then finally it had ended with Alessa going to bed, Gabrian doing homework, and Ren and LW fighting furiously at Scario Kart. He had won, of course, and the games had lasted long into the night before both had curled up on Ren's pillow pile to sleep.
For once, Ren's dreams were not nightmares. They were not exactly pleasant, but not exactly bad either. When he awoke, quite suddenly, feeling the warmth of his best friend disappear, he could not seem to remember exactly what the dream had been about. Ren murmured her name, still half asleep, blinking blearily in the half darkness. Crystalline streaks of moonlight were striped across the room, giving the entire place an eerie sort of glow.
"It's a full moon tonight." Yes, he remembered very well just how eager and excited LW had sounded earlier that day. Pushing himself upright, Ren stood, crossing the room and, with a cautious glance, slipped out into the hallway, padding silently down in bare feet. He did not know which direction she might have started out in, but he did know where the ending destination would be. There was really only one place the werewolf would be.
It took only a few moments for Ren to find her, and when he did, she was in wolf form. Hands in his pockets, Ren walked silently towards the shewolf, his footsteps nearly indiscernible before he stopped, a few feet away. LW's howl was bone-chilling, simultaneously eerie and beautiful. It sent ripples of shivers down Ren's spine, and for a few moments he just stood there, watching her, before he spoke.
"Evening, little wolf."
It's a full moon tonight.

There was a lot in that drawled out howl of hers. Many emotions. Both good and not so good. But oh how the pull of the moon helped to push those aside and allow the she-wolf a night of blissful enjoyment. It was such a nice feeling. Especially considering some of the many things that usually tormented her mind as of lately. Namely being the constant feeling that Sarias (finally she discovered her name) was going to jump her. The demon mark that resided against her inner thigh. And Ren. Though the last had eased recently, thanks to her boilfriend. That talk they had had on the way to visit her own family had done her a world of good.
All of this was what was relayed to the moon. Her one true way of letting all those feelings out. Her song died as she shook her coat, fur standing on end for a moment before settling. And then a voice spoke that made her yip, turn to fast, and fall over. Such a graceful wolf.
"Ren!" LW was surprised to see him out here. No one had ever followed or seen her on these nights. Usually because she didn't tell them she was going out. They knew though. Or suspected. She just never confirmed. It wasn't that she didn't want them out here or anything. Just, well when she came here she, essentially, stripped herself or everything and let nothing but true feelings and raw emotion be seen.
It was a Jack damned good thing she was in wolf form right now. Otherwise she would have been scarlet at having being caught. "You...you heard me howl." Alright now not even her wolf form could hide the fact she felt suddenly very shy. "No one has heard me howl. Aside from other wolves." Twisting so she could stand again, LW shook her body once more before letting the shift take her until she was crouched down where she had stood, tail flipping about behind her. For a moment, she just stared at him, not sure what to do. And then, it didn't matter anymore. The moon was too much of an intoxicating drug for the she-wolf.
Eyes bright and shining with light from the moon, LW leaped to her feet in a fluid motion and stepped lightly up to her best friend. Raising up on her toes, she kissed his chin before twirling away. "What a lucky gryphon you are." She teased, feet moving to a phantom step before she paused and glanced back over at him. Head tilted in a canine manner she blinked those violets at him.
"Why did you follow me, Ren?" It was an innocent question really. She was curious, as was her nature to be, about why. Out of all three of her closest friends, Ren was the first one to actually follow her. Of course she was going to be curious. And had to ask.
Not able to stand still for very long, she let her feet move in tune to an old song she could clearly hear in her mind. It was one that her grandmother had taught her. And the one that had become the focal point for the she-wolf's FEAR. It was to that song she danced when she used her FEAR. And it was to that same song she now innocently danced to, moving around him in a slow circle, as she waited on his answer. Her tail brushed against him once when she was within touching distance before she moved out of reach. As she moved, her eyes were slanted and almost closed all the way. You could see that she was very confident about where she stepped and how she moved. It was only like this, under the moon and letting herself go that she could move with such confidence.

His hands in his pockets, Ren regarded LW with a calm expression, his face half shadowed, half illuminated by the white light of the moon above them. The grass of the campus lawn looked pale green against the near black backdrop of the dorm building several yards away, the red of LW's fur a stark contrast to the night. She looked unusually larger than she did normally, oddly streamlined and sleek in this particular form.
"I did indeed," Ren answered her, cocking his head a small bit to the side. He didn't move from his spot, waiting until the shewolf had shifted fully back to her human self to speak again. LW's lips felt warm against his cool skin, and he blinked down at her, lashes lowered, eyes half lidded. Her question was to be expected, but even Ren did not quite know the answer to it.
He shrugged. "Dunno." The word was soft, barely audible, and the wind tugged at his hair, pulling it free from the hasty ponytail he had tossed up before leaving the room. Pale golden strands, still somewhat tousled from sleep, fell over his shoulders, a few batting lightly at his face. He reached up, gently brushing back a few stray hairs from his eyes. "I just felt like it, is all."
It was true and then not at the same time. Ren loved sleep; everyone knew that. He would have gladly just rolled over and gone back to sleep on any normal night, but this night...something about this night was different. The full moon, perhaps, but whatever the reason, Ren had chosen to push himself up and follow the shewolf. His best friend, though he knew her better than anyone, still held her own secrets close to her heart.
Ren's gaze followed down the line of her body to LW's feet, watching as she moved. He did not try to turn when she circled him, the only movement he gave the slide of his eyes from left, then to right, keeping his locked with hers. The soft fur of her tail brushed against his leg, and Ren felt a small shiver course through him that had nothing to do with the cold. Something about this night was eerie, almost ethereal, and LW was the same. He had never before seen her like this, never seen the way the moon affected her, but now...it was...
"I am," Ren said, then stepped forward, capturing her wrist lightly with his fingers. A crooked smile touched his lips as he stepped towards her. "I am a lucky gryphon.
"Now, little wolflove, shall you teach me how to dance?"

It was like a deep thrum through her body that pulsed with every beat of her heart. A sweet intoxicating warmth and fearlessness at being who she was. The moon made her blood bubble with an excitement that you could put no name to. It was just there, a part of her. Every scent. Every sound. Every touch. They all added to this melodic calling. Heightened it. Made it that much better. Experiencing such a bliss as the she-wolf did from the moon, one might begin to better understand the small things about the werewolf, like her hate of shoes. Shoes blocked the feeling of toes in cool grass. Or the warm feeling of heated stone. Feet were sensitive, yet no one seemed to appreciate this.
"Mmmm...guess it's not really important why." She said softly, letting her feet lead her where they would. Her tail flowed behind her, curling with her body when she would twirl, swaying from side to side easily with each movement. "What is important, dear gryphon, is that you did."
The sight of flowing golden strands drew her eye but her step never faltered. LW watched the way the wind teased his hair. Had she ever seen his hair down before? She didn't think she had. A shame. Those golden strands were so pretty. Especially when the moon caught them just right. "You should wear your hair down more often." She said in a tone as light as her steps. "It's so pretty." What? She loved the golden shade of his hair! Always had. Not as much as his freckles...but she wasn't even going there. Yet.
Bright violets stayed on his eyes (which were also a lovely shade of gold she loved), only briefly breaking the contact whenever she spun. And then cool fingers lightly wrapped around her wrist and she stopped her movement. Not a halting, freezing the minute something touched her type of stop. Something that flowed with the rest of the dance, as if it had come to a close. LW glanced up and watched him get closer. Oh, so he agreed that he was a lucky gryphon, did he? Well, she would be the judge of just how lucky of a gryphon he ended up being.
Which was apparently going to be very lucky. Ren said those magical words and she forgot about why she might have wanted to restrain herself from...wait, why would she want to do that?
"Teach you to dance, kitten?" An eyebrow slowly arched up and she gave him a slow once over. To anyone else (including poor Ren), it probably looked like a heated, checking out his body sort of look. Which, granted, yes she was looking! But in her mind, she was calculating his body frame and what sort of dancing would be best. When she finally met his eyes again, hers were crinkled with a smile that held nothing but mischief. Time to play with the gryphon!
"Hmm...what sort of dancing should I teach you?" She said, stepping closer and grabbing each of his hands, placing them gently at her sides. Her own hands were placed at his hips where she pushed them lightly from side to side in the comforting and familiar step of a slow dance. "I believe you already know this one." LW teased, keeping the slow tempo as her hands moved back to his, sliding them down lower to her own hips. "Then there is the variation to that~" The she-wolf let her hands slide up his arms to rest at his shoulders, stepping a little closer. The small amount of space that had been between them before became even smaller, bodies lightly brushing together.
She would forever blame the moon for this night. Letting them dance slowly like that for a few minutes, her eyes flashed and a sly smile spread across her lips. "Or, there is the more..." the hands at his shoulders slid up to lightly wrap around his neck and successfully pull them very close together. But no, that was not enough excitement. The she-wolf wrapped a leg and her tail around his somehow pulling them even closer. If and when her brain reconnected, she'd probably have scarlet cheeks for the rest of her life. But the moon was fully blossomed and...well she didn't have a brain for the time being. Or maybe she did and she normally went through the days without one? Oh Jack now she was confusing herself!
Her cheek brushed against his as she whispered, "...more exciting sort of dancing." A soft giggle followed this as her gaze locked on those golden strands. "So which do you want me to teach you?" LW purred the last out unable to help it. Her fingers had unlinked to run through those jack damned strands of gold that would not leave her be!
"It's very soft." She said, sounding like a kid that had just discovered something grand for the very first time.

Ren was not experiencing the same sort of pull towards the moonlight that LW was feeling, but he was feeling different than he normally would. Everything around them stretched out, the campus vast and doused in shadows where the buildings cast them, except for where the two of them stood. The only shadows were far off, and the grass at their feet was pale and unearthly in the view of the moon. Ren's own feet were bare, having not bothered to put on shoes before leaving his room, and the grass was cool beneath his skin.
He lifted his chin. "I did." The answer was soft, barely breathed out, Ren looking at LW from beneath his lashes. "And I don't wear my hair down because it gets in the way. But," he added, tilting his head to one side as he regarded her. "I'll wear it down for you."
Even LW's voice was different. It was light, almost lyrical, and the her eyes shone was...intense. It made Ren want to look closer, to figure out just what exactly she was feeling, understand how the moonlight affected her the way it did. He wanted to feel what she was feeling, have the same sort of magnetic pull to the outdoors, feel the thrum of music in his veins, the beat in his heart.
"Yes," said Ren, standing beside the shewolf. "Yes, teach me, please."
He let her rake her eyes down his frame, evaluating, calculating, his fingers still loosely around her slender wrist. They were moved, however, when LW took both his hands in hers, placing them on her waist. Her own lay on his hips and Ren's foot slid forward, stepping in time with her. It was slow, but not halted. There was no hesitation in Ren's movements; he fell into step with LW easily, smooth and careful.
She had moved his hands again, this time down to her hips, and Ren's fingers lightly gripped the cloth there, his eyes flickering downwards just briefly then back up to meet her own eyes as she stepped closer, hands on his shoulders. He put one foot forward, then stepped back, mimicking her movements, then rolled his hips side to side, turning them where they stood in one fluid motion.
"Yes," Ren said softly. "Yes, I know this dance very well."
There was almost no space between them now, and Ren reached a hand up, his fingers taking LW's wrist and pulling one arm away from his neck. He held her hand lightly in his, taking a step back to pull her with him, then spun her gently out before pulling her back in again. Her hands went back around his neck, her tail brushing at his leg, and then he felt fingers sliding through his hair.
Ren laughed out loud. "Yes, "he said, grinning down at the shewolf. "It's probably because I just washed my hair tonight. Otherwise I'd look like a frizzy poofball."
The moon was bright, so very bright. Ren could feel it on his skin, sliding across the bare skin of his arms, his face. He loved the way it made him feel, the way it made LW feel. It was rare that it was just the two of them anymore, not that he disliked spending time with the others. He adored Alessa to no end (loved would be a more accurate term, though by that same remark, he loved all of them), Gabrian as well, but the time he spent alone with just his best was precious. Right now Ren just felt...alive. He tilted his head back, looking up at the moon, and closed his eyes briefly, inhaling deeply before he turned his gaze back to the shewolf. Ren quirked a brow in amusement at her.
"I like exciting."

The she-wolf gave him that special smile of hers. The moonlight only seemed to make it that much more special, with the way it illuminated her face. It was a small thing and shouldn't have made her feel quite like it did. But she beamed at him. He would be willing to wear his hair down for her? That warmed her already fiery blood. Why? She really couldn't figure that one out. And didn't try that hard to figure out why either. It was unimportant right now. "I'd like that very much." She whispered.
"Teach me to dance, he says." LW mocked playfully, sticking to the slow steps they both knew so well. She teased him, moving close again only to put a few inches space between them. "You know how to dance very well, Ren." It was a compliment, since she had never actually had the chance to dance with her best friend before. He spun her out gently only to pull her back in as they moved to a phantom step. "This is good. You know the basic and sweet dances." Her eyes held amusement and something else, though that was unidentifiable. "It means that I can teach you how to really dance." She teased with a grin as she brought them very close once again. And his hair! It was such a lovely distraction.
"A frizzy poofball?" LW laughed, a sound that was as pleasant to hear as the soft chiming of the bells she always wore on her tail. "Well, at least then we could claim you look like a lion and therefore must be more cat than bird." This debate was quite entertaining among their quartet. And a never ending one it seemed.
"I like exciting."
She didn't stop them from their slow movements again, keeping it simple and easy with your typical slow dance. But ever so subtly, the dance shifted. Movement became more fluid and loose. It was no longer confined to just the small space between them. It was all over yet it flowed. LW only moved his hands here and there, pushed his hips this way and that until there was no need to.
"You want to dance like I do, Ren?" The she-wolf said softly when she was close again. "Don't think. Listen to the beat of your heart. Let your feet move where they will." Her violet gaze held his golden one. And for that one small moment, she let him see...well her. With no mental barriers to block emotions. No hiding behind guises. Just, herself. "Be free, kitten."

Ren reached a hand up, lightly running his fingers down the side of LW's cheek, then playfully poked her forehead. Despite everything that had happened, despite all of the things that had gone on, despite the bad things, the good things, and in-between things, the werewolf still, without a doubt, was his best friend, and she always would be.
He voiced these thoughts out loud.
"You're pretty precious to me, you know that, darling?" Ren drawled, his smile a half smirk. "Always stay my best friend, please. I don't think I'd do well without you, and I don't particularly care to find out what it would be like without you."
Moving his feet forward, Ren captured LW's hands in his, teasingly twirling her around, then back in. A quick step to the left, then the right, back and forth, then another spin out, pulling her so that her back was against his chest, his arms around her to keep her there.
"Thank you," he said conversationally, and grinned, spinning her out again. "Alessa told me the same thing. I guess one thing my parents taught me stuck, although I still maintain that it had nothing to do with them, and everything to do with my dance instructor and I. After all, I could have chosen not to attend the lessons, so it's really all my doing."
Laughing, Ren tugged on a scarlet strand of hair. "I still maintain that I am more cat than bird," he said, and stepped back away from her, hands in his pockets as he watched her sway to the music in her mind. Though there was none playing, Ren could almost hear it himself; the air felt almost alive, electrifying, the beat threading through his veins. For the first time in a long time, he felt...elated. Alive.
He caught LW around the waist, spinning her towards him, and then he was dancing, twisting his body in turn with hers, his eyes locked with hers, his expression shifting to something serious, though there was still the faintest hint of a smile on his face. Something thrummed through him, a beat, a tune, something musical, and Ren closed his eyes, only listening and moving, letting it take him where it would.
For tonight, at least, it was just him and LW. Best friends, forever, to the ends of the earth and beyond.

A soft smile formed as his fingers grazed her cheek in a light touch. Then he poked at her forehead and she nipped at his hand, eyes flashing. One hand rested on his shoulder, the other against his arm as they moved around to a tune no one could hear. They were not confined by the bounds of a stage. There was no need to worry about losing yourself and getting too close to the edge. Out here, all they had was the moon and the stars. And the comfort of a close friend to enjoy the time with.
His words startled her and she stumbled for the first time. This was quickly recovered from and she easily worked with it, making it almost seem like it had been intentional. "I-I...am?" It shouldn't have surprised her. Somehow, she'd always know this. Known that they had a special connection. But hearing it voiced out loud, the she-wolf felt a strange feeling. LW couldn't put a name to it, but it was a pleasant feeling.
A step to the side, one to the back, again to the side. LW absently moved without thought on where she moved. Her focus was on her best friend. And his words. Slowly, that smile that she reserved only for Ren, appeared. "I promise you, I will always be your best friend, dear heart." She was twirled out and back in. Step to the left, right. Again. Another spin and he pulled her back against him. Her tail followed the spin around to lightly curl around his leg. Tilting her head to look up, LW smiled. "You are very important to me too." She said quietly. "And I know I wouldn't do well without you either."
Another spin and she was facing him again. She felt...giddy? And LW had to admit she couldn't blame it all on the moon. Not after hearing that admittance from Ren. She laughed as he argued his point on the dance lessons. "Alessa has good taste in dancers." LW winked, quick step to the right and back before moving forward, managing to flick his nose gently. "And I don't think it is all because of the lessons." LW batted at his hand when he tugged at a strand of her hair and stepped away. "You have a natural talent that you don't give yourself enough credit for."
She didn't stop dancing, moving to another step. This one was more...personal it seemed. A dance that held many emotions in it. Almost like her howl. Yet it wasn't a sad. This one was was personal in the sense it was the very first dance she had learned. Her tail moved more in this dance, like a flickering flame. It was her most powerful dance. And one she had never let anyone see before. Until now.
Hands caught her waist and she let them spin her until she was dancing once again with her closest friend. She loved all her friends dearly, but Ren held a special spot. He was the first person she had truly made friends with at the school. And her first best friend.
His eyes were warm and inviting. LW had always loved his eyes. She watched them and not what was around them. Nor where their feet stepped, trusting in the moment and that mystical air about the night tonight. Then something shifted in his gaze. LW couldn't figure out what or why. The she-wolf just let herself get lost in the dance. Ren finally seemed to feel what she felt. Hear the ghostly tune that wasn't really a tune at all. It was something all around them. Hard to really explain. Mimicking him, she let her eyes close and just moved where they moved.
LW was the one who brought the dance to a slow halt. She didn't move away or drop her hands from where they were just yet. Nor did she move his. Slowly, head tilted down, her violet gaze regarded her tail. Decision made, she lifted it and slid her hands down to the ring around it. Very carefully, she untied the two bells from the ring. A soft chime rang out from them, when normally you didn't hear a sound from them. Once removed, the she-wolf felt strangely naked. She had never not had any bells attached to her in some fashion. But for tonight, she would.
"This is my promise to you, Ren." LW said softly as she captured some of those golden strands and tied the bells into his hair. "My promise that I will always be your best friend."

Ren's expression was gentle in the moonlight, the streaks of moonshine dotting across LW's face like tiny pricks of stardust. He held her carefully in her arms, one hand at her back, the other taking her hand in his, but each movement was fluid, experienced as his feet moved.
"You know," he said, grinning down at the shewolf. "I'm glad I went to that truth or dare game. I almost didn't, you know. New kid at school, doesn't want to ruffle any feathers. Just think, if I had decided to stay home and sleep, like I was planning to, I would have never met you. Or the lovely Natalia either, for that matter," Ren added with a playful wink.
His body moved easily with the rhythm that flowed through his veins, matching LW step for step. Ren was no stranger to dancing, had never actually disliked it as much as he pretended to while he was living at home. His parents had provided the lessons for him as a way of conforming their son to a "good" society, putting on an image for the rest of the community. At first Ren had fully intended to skip out on the lessons, spend the hour after school doing something else instead, like playing videogames. However, his teacher had been surprisingly inspiring, and soon Ren had decided he liked dancing quite a bit. It made him feel safe. Free. It was like his heart connected with the rest of his spirit when he danced, like he was going everywhere at once, and that the world felt enormous, but consisted only of him and his partner.
Eyes locked with LW's, Ren slipped into an easy waltz, fingers pressed against her back to move the shewolf with him as he stepped forward, back, to the side, then back again. It was a simple dance, but even as he turned them in a quick circle he felt happy. LW had always held a special place in his heart; his best friend was one of his favorite people in the world.
She slowed them down, however, and Ren held her hand in his, still in position until she pulled her fingers free, her tail curling upwards as she slipped the bells from its tip. There was a soft tinkling noise and then LW reached up, fastening the bells in Ren's hair.
He blinked. Once, twice. Then felt a warm smile cross his face. Wings curling around him, Ren reached around, tugging one feather from each side. He stepped forward, arms rising to twist the feathers into the scarlet strands of LW's hair before he moved back. Satisfied with how they looked, Ren ducked down into an overly dramatic, extravagant bow, arms stretched wide.
"And my promise to you, Little Wolfe Tamaroc," he said, though his voice was loud, as if proclaiming it to the world. "I will always be your best friend."

A part of her wanted to just get lost in his gaze, the moonlight shimmering along their skin and the almost magical air that was around them this night. It was very tempting, but she was content with just having her best friend to dance with under the full moon. That, to her, meant more. It was hard to explain why or how it meant more, but it did.
LW felt a smile tugging at her lips as he spoke. "I'm glad you did too. Otherwise, I wouldn't have an amazing best friend." She replied a soft giggle following. "I recognized you from the train when I first got there." An amused expression spread along her features. "And then what a lucky gryphon you were. First you get a she-wolf in your lap. Then a lovely lemur with dangerous lips." There was no stopping the playful grin or the glint in her eyes. Natalia had been the first one to steal a kiss from the she-wolf since she'd arrived at the school. A very pleasant kiss at that.
"Thank you." The she-wolf said suddenly, after the gryphon had taken the lead, moving them into an easy waltz. LW hadn't danced a waltz very often, and wouldn't admit to anyone but Ren, that she was not as confident dancing to this on her own or with a partner. But Ren was a fantastic partner, and LW didn't feel any hesitation she would otherwise feel while dancing this. She trusted her best friend with all her heart. "For following me out here." She clarified, smiling up at him. "I...it does get lonely, meeting the moons call by yourself." LW added quietly, glancing up at the majestic orb.
It had been a spur of the moment thought that had crossed her mind. One that she'd been thinking on for a little while since Ren had started dancing with her. Everyone knew how important the bells were to the she-wolf (and how obsessed she was with them). When she attached the bells to his hair, it felt right to her. And the warm smile he turned on her made LW happy with her decision. That didn't mean she wasn't pleasantly shocked by his response. She watched as he plucked a feather from each wing, stepping up to attach them to into her own hair. When he stepped away, seeming satisfied, LW's hand rose to gently trace along a feather.
That special smile lit up her face as he ducked into an extravagant (and of course dramatic) bow, letting anyone who dared to listen know this was his promise to her. LW waited just long enough for him to right himself again before she took a few light steps towards him and threw her arms around her best friend in a tight hug.
"Best friends forever, kitten." LW said, tilting her head up that bright violet gaze could meet his golden one. "The moon is our witness!"
