Okayz, soooo I notice that a lot of peoplez post short, short, short posts. And it's not good, at all. I think it brings down my literacy just by looking at it. So, I'm gonna try to help y'all who are posting one-liners or close to that.

FIRST: I'm not going to waste my time on here, typing up all this so that you can ignore it. So, every time your posts are one-liners guess what link you'll be sent! One to THIS thread and you shall have fun reading this because you WILL read this. If you don't, I'll know. And if you keep not reading this I will send it to you on profile comments, PM's, and etc. until you read it and follow it. Aka, we'll become your own personal online, coolest stalkers ^^ So please read it =)

SECOND: I'm not trying to be mean, I'm trying to help. No, not trying, I want to help. It's actually a really good feeling to know that you posted a long post. A lot of people on here love to write stories and writing larger posts does help, trust me.
It also makes me, Fluffers, and the rest of the active crew like you more and you wont get on our bad side which is really, really good. mrgreen

Okayz! So: The whole point in this post:
The first thing people have a problem with is things to talk about in the posts, things to do, etc. That's probably the easiest thing, even though it doesn't seem like it sometimes. Try this:
1. Think about what your character is going to do instead of just trying to reply quickly. You don't have to reply a second after the other person posted; and if you do lots of times the post is really crappy and not well thought of. Also, don't do this often, but maybe wait till you have creative juices in your head like some people ("sorry") do.
2. Your character isn't a robot, it breathes, talks, walks, moves, all those things. Add description. You know how easy that is? If you find it hard do this: Think about talking to your friend. Do you mess with your hair, look around, sway back and forth. What do you do? Than type that with the post.

Another thing is people tend to make their posts kind of bland. They'll say "He went to the cabin." You know how much more you could do with that post? You could say:
"The new camper walked to the Hermes cabin with enthusiasm. He was so ready to start his new life in camper and learn to fight and make new friends. Thrill tingled through him as the Hermes cabin door opened and he scanned the large cabin." Soooo read this:
ADJECTIVES ARE YOUR FRIEND. Love them, care about them, be their friend too. They love you so love them. They can help you make your post go from one-liners to three paragraphs. You can say "They slowly walked to the crowded lake where many Poseidon kids were sitting. Each happy camper seemed to be having a great time at the beautiful lake." Something like that, just use description. It's amazing how adjectives can help you out.

It's harder to post while talking to someone BUT that can be fixed:
4. Lots of times people struggle to make long posts because the other person gives them little to work with, I understand. Try to add on to the post, though. Add some extra conversation to it or ask them something. Like..hm..maybe you are talking about a dog, add on by asking their favorite dog, if they've ever owned one, if they are allergic. SOMETHING. I know, the allergic part was weird but I needed examples and strangely that came to mind first. If you still have problems than PM me and I'd be glad to help you try to come up with a post.

Last but not least, the BRAIN:
5. Next to adjectives, your brain is your best friend. While posting people who make one-liners I tend to think of as the 'non-brains'. They don't think about anything that they could put in their posts, they just post it so it can be done. Think about it and if you don't have time to post longer than three liners or more than wait to post. I promise when you get back from wherever your going or whenever you get back on the other persons post will still be there.

Okay, so that may only be five steps but they do help. Also: If you ever get stuck in a post and you need help than just PM me or Fluffers, we reply as soon as one of us gets on and one of us will help you. If you need ideas or just can't figure out what to say we're here to help, I want this guild to have good literacy and maybe one day, good grammar as well. But that's not as important as literacy sometimes.

Never said I didn't like it. All I said was that you wrote about posting detailed, descriptive, in depth posts, but you use a TON of dialogue to fill the (unofficial) length requirements. Which again, isn't a bad thing, but still. Given I'm a hyper-critical A-hole so my posts are meaningless.

biggrin get used to it yo. I'm unofficially back sorta. At least...nevermind. I'm here now, that's all that matters.
