Description: Within the ebb and flow of the Amala Network, the system that transports energy through the many worlds, there exist certain 'bubbles' in the flow that act as zones various beings (mostly demons) can inhabit. One of these bubbles, located in the network link between the Hidden Shrine in Inaba and the Naganaki Shrine in Tatsumi Port Island, is a smallish one consisting of only a single room instead of the stairs and hallways some of the larget bubbles possess... but it seems to be left alone by demons using the network, making it a useful resting place. To this end, the Demi-Fiend Kisa has converted the room into a home of sorts, bringing in various articles found (or, occasionally, simply stolen) around Inaba and the Port Island to give it at least a few minimal comforts, someplace she can store things safely just in case she doesn't want to carry them around. To say nothing of the psychological benefits of having a home in a place that doesn't want to kill her... While places like Earth are generally hostile to utterly unnatural beings, the Amala Network has no such opinion.

The Amala Network

Each link in the Amala Network is capable of linking to any other point that's currently active on the network. Certain places, including Kisa's Home, can only be accessed through the Network. Their actual location relative to anything else is really more of a philosophical question than a scientific one. As a more 'natural' and unregulated part of the Network, as opposed to those that have been regulated with things like Amala Drums, use of the network is restricted to those that have it as a Class Ability, though they may choose to bring others with them on a journey.

Current Links in the Network:

-Hidden Shrine (Inaba)
-Kisa's Home (Amala Network)
-Naganaki Shrine (Tatsumi Port Island)

Kisa

That had been... an interesting experience. Wincing slightly, Kisa put a hand to her head. The movement was more habitual than anything; her sight had been enhanced when she'd become what she was now, and sudden changes didn't affect her much. But the rushing... the blurring... the streaks of gold on either side. Ugh. Wow. Well, she'd be prepared if that happened again, but... yeesh. Trying and only mostly succeeding at shaking off that feeling, the girl looked around. Perhaps twenty feet to aside, she was in a room plated with strange, yellow-y golden walls. Small things kind of flowed through the floor beneath her, though something else seemed to be holding her up, and this feeling... this glorious, wonderful feeling! The air here was suffused with energy like nothing she'd ever felt before. This was the sort of place she belonged. All this energy, filling her up, every fiber of her being... it would be a great place to bring Soji sometime. This... connection... it really seemed kind of barren at the moment, and nothing else seemed to be in the area. Maybe... just maybe... it could qualify as a home for her? It really felt like it was safe, after all, and... well... that meant a lot for somebody used to thinking that the world wanted to get rid of her. Ah, but maybe a few tests on insects or something first, to be sure they wouldn't explode or something if they came here.

The girl winced mentally as a few images swarmed her mind. Yeah, it could get nasty if this place was as hostile to others as it was comforting to her. Best to perform a few test runs first and see how it went, then go from there. But if it was safe enough, then she could start bringing in other stuff. Maybe something for a bed (she slept face-down now, because of the spike in her neck, so even a pillow... hmm...), and other things might work? Possibly? Hmm... Well, best not to get her hopes up too high. But if it did work out... she'd finally have someplace to call home after all this time.

Kisa

Tired out by the events of the day, and after having talked a bit with Geirin, Kisa fell face-first onto the cushions she'd scavenged around town. A good night's rest was all she needed (all she ever needed, actually; such was the inhuman nature of her body) to recover, but she still needed to get some form of rest occasionally, and let her abilities do their thing while she rested. A lot of things had gone on, but she had obtained a second Candelabrum to go with the first one, which meant she was a very real step closer towards her goal of collecting all of them. Not that she had the faintest idea what would actually happen when she did that or anything... but it was one of the few leads she had, and that was as complicated as it got. Fiends... huh? The harbringers of disaster...

Screams echoed through the small chamber as a girl curled up on the floor, every nerve ending in her body apparently in a competition for seeing which one could shriek the loudest and signal the most pain. That was probably the natural result of what had happened, when something hidden with the spear Gungnir had fallen out. From a morbid sense of curiosity, the girl had tasted it... and that probably wasn't the smartest thing she'd ever done, even if she'd at least had the presence of mind to do it only here, where it was generally safe. On the other hand, she had faith in her body's ability to adapt to things (even though it hurt so badly!), and she would willingly suffer more pain than this in order to gain greater power. Bit by bit, she could feel her body slowly adapting to the poison, changing it, making it a part of her, and she could feel every agonizing bit of it. This was going to be neither fast nor pleasant, she knew somewhere deep inside. But at least it would end eventually. Though, that was really only small comfort compared to the agony rocking her body... This was probably what came from thinking a deity might actually do something nice for once.

The Demi-Fiend lay on the ground of her home, panting, as the pain of the venom running through her body finally subsided. It seemed like she had been able to conquer it after all, and she winced as she slowly pulled herself upright using one of the pieces of junk she'd brought into the strange room. The extremely dense energy of the place was helping her to recover, too, a further proof of just how far from human she'd come. For several minutes, she just sat on her makeshift bed, breathing in the energy flowing through the Amala Network, before she finally gazed into a mirror. The face she saw was her own, only very subtly different, but she tugged on the side of her mouth so she could see her teeth... and the pointy fangs that formed even as she looked. Ah, so that was it? Her body had adapted to the poison, as it adapted to so many things, and taken part of the power of a deity for her own. The fangs retracted a moment later, sinking into her gums with barely any feeling at all, and she nodded in satisfaction before summoning her spear and using it as a brace to get to her feet. Lightning crackled around the tip of the weapon, and she made a few practice attacks with it. Just by having it, her blows seemed to have become faster and more accurate, something her inhuman form was easily adapting to. Right. Step by step, she was slowly acquiring more power. Until she had the strength to take on any challenger, however, she wasn't going to be satisfied. These were just two more steps to the kind of power she craved, and she looked to the entrance to her room as she dismissed her weapon. She still hadn't found Soji after all that had happened...
