[PRP] The Rain Has Come ( Siad & Talutah)

Said looked out at the rain that was falling with a huff, his wet mane making a small lake at his feet. He growled and shook himself out for the hundredth time. There was no help for it, he was soaked, and soaked he was going to stay until he managed to dry out.

Lucky for him, he'd found this abandoned cave, which by the looks of it had been used before as a temporary shelter before for the various animals that crossed the Rouge Lands as they went to and from their business.

The downpour had been sudden, as they usually were during the spring rains, but had not spent itself in a matter of minutes like these storms tended to do. No, by the looks of it, it was going to be relentless until it blew itself out.

Sighing, the large rust colored lion settled down to wait, his green eyes watching the rain fall.

Talutah had been feeling out of sorts ever since leaving the pride. The whispers have faded considerably and at first her heart ached for them. But she felt the need to keep walking so she pressed on. The day had started out great, but it seemed like in a matter of seconds, black clouds rolled in and dropped their load.

Talutah ran. She didn't mind water...but when it was dumped on her, not so much. Out on the plains it is really hard to find shelter quickly. And this was no exception. But luck seemed to smile on her for out of the corner of her eye she caught a glimpse of looming rocks. Talutah head straight for them praying and hoping that there was shelter.

There was! And even better...it was a cave. She ran into the cave in such a hurry to shake off that she did not see the male standing there...

Siad had seen the indistinct shape making for the cave at a quick pace through the thick curtain of rain, but had not expected said shape to take the form of a lioness who didn't slow one wit before barreling into him.

Letting out a undignified huff, his front paws wrapped around her as his back paws slipped on the very wet granite of the rock, causing him to lose his balance, but keeping her from falling head first off the small ledge and down into the dip that formed the rest of the cave behind them. It wouldn't have been a life threatening bounce, but it could have caused some damage.

Blinking water and mane out of his jeweled green eyes, he stared at her, a slight frown on his face. Not because she had run into him, but because he lay frog splayed down on his belly and certain parts of him were not happy about that at all.
