Nola had once again wandered far off from her family. The voice of her father telling her over and over again that out from the mountains, the world can be dangerous, echoed in her mind as if he was right there. She sighed, rolling her eyes. No matter how many times she was told one thing, she'd always dance to the beat of her own drum. She stuck to her guns. That's just how she was. She loved to explore and she hated being told she wasn't allowed.
She looked around, noticing that nothing was familiar. The trees blended into each other, creating menacing faces and the ground seemed to be a bit cooler. It was getting on sunset. Her ears dipped against her skull as she continued on with her nose held proudly. She could stay out here tonight. What was out here anyway?
She listened to the grasshoppers as they played their songs, trying to find where it was the loudest. The shadows seemed to taunt her, but she proudly kept going. They couldn't scare her. She kept listening to the grasshoppers, her hooves moving practically on their own as they traveled to the lulling noise. She sighed heavily. She didn't need to be "protected." She could handle the world on her own.

The clawed feet stallion made way through the mountain paths. Further away from home he was going and he had no intent on turning back. It was hard for him to leave his family but the flock was not a place meant for him. The half harpy stallion longed for an adventure and to meet other soquili. So here he was continuing his journey.
He had no destination but yet he continued on. As he casually strolling along the path he noticed a horn mare up in the distance. He soon became rather cautious for this is a first time he was meeting a mare with a horn. He did not want to startle her nor did he want to cause for any need of violence.
Rave stopped in his tracks; a good distance away from her. He quietly observed her and his pupil-less blue eyes blinked.

Nola pranced along the unbeaten trail until a shadowy figure moved in the corner of her eye. Her azure eyes darted to the side. She froze for a moment. Her heart raced in apprehension with a twinge of excitement. What was it? It looked similar to her. She smiled proudly and trotted over. At least she wasn't alone.
Go figure she wouldn't even think that this other could potentially be dangerous. She never assumed anything. If the other was dangerous, she'd find out the hard way. Boy would she get it from her dad then...
She came up to him, offering a shy smile and a soft nod. "Hello," she said softly. Her eyes rested on his clawed feet. She looked to her own hooves. "You don't have hooves." She suddenly felt stupid stating the obvious, but it was too late to retract her statement. She took a step back, looking the other over. He wasn't...threatening, at least she didn't get that vibe. She offered another smile before staying quiet. She didn't want to become overbearing, especially if he proved not to be so tolerant.
