After getting the Kobold egg from Jericho - she couldn't help smiling to herself at the thought of the dragon for some unknown reason - Lizzy had somehow managed to convince Rosenthal to stay in her room to guard the egg and play 'daddy'. The Pata-Pata had readily agreed, since it was an important job, and he had always seen himself as the 'head of the Minipet household'; while she was concerned about the type of 'daddy' Rosenthal would be, she was glad to finally be able to get Jimmy out for some alone time.
Holding onto the leash as Jimmy happily trotted in front of her, tugging on the leash, it looked like it was actually walking her and not the other way round. However, she was doing a fairly decent job of guiding it; after all, Jimmy seemed to always be getting her (and itself) into trouble. There was the 'playing tag with DC and causing Lizzy and Amrita to get transported into the human world' incident, and the 'pulling her into the forest and causing her to face the Reaper guy who drained everyone's energy' incident.
There was never a dull moment with Jimmy.
"A-ah, hold on!" She frowned as it started tugging her towards a pond, intrigued by the smell of water. There was a sharp 'snap!' as the leash gave way and realizing that it was free, the Reigndeer galloped happily towards the pond. It moved so quickly that when it wanted to stop, it realized that it couldn't. With a loud shriek that didn't sound like it was a sound that could be made by a Reigndeer, it flew straight into the water with a loud splash and started to flail. The more it flailed, the deeper it sunk and the further it drifted away from the pond's edge.
"JIMMY!"

Mac had apparently gotten tired of searching for Charlie, again. For an outrageous Demon, he was certainly hard to find! So he decided to loiter outside, sitting in the dead grass while listening to his music, gazing out over the water. Man, one day, he'd be on that water, in a boat. Taking souls to the afterlife...or something like that. He wanted to be a Ferryman, but as a Psychopomp he had a myriad of options for his future. Still, a future on the water or in the woods would be...fantastic.
Out of the corner of his eye, he saw what looked like a little deer go running into the water; he thought he heard a noise, but his music was too loud to be sure. Still he looked over, his brow raising when he spotted a pink haired Demon; the not-Charlie who had left in tears during their last (and first) meeting.
He wasn't going to apologize and there was no way he was going to take time out of his very busy day to bother her, so he settled for just watching, to see what was going to happen from here.

Being focused on the (apparently) drowning Minipet in front of her, Lizzy didn't really think of searching for help. Memories of the Christmas raid came rushing back as she froze, the way the original Jimmy exploded because of her causing her to shudder; it would be fine if she had meant to kill or hurt something, but she didn't mean to kill Jimmy! It was an accident, but it was still murder...
"J-Jimmy, its okay!" She flailed on edge of the pond, looking rather determined as she pulled her boots off before jumping into the water. She could feel the muddy ground beneath her feet as she started towards the Minipet, hand reaching for the Reigndeer, determined not to let tribute-Jimmy die - or whatever term you give to Minipets when they vanish into the closet after death.
When the water was up to her chin (she was rather short), she managed to grab hold of Jimmy's hoof, but it just flailed harder, causing her to slip on the slippery mud under her feet, falling backwards into the water. While she would normally have floated back up, she found herself clinging desperately onto a flailing Jimmy, holding it against her chest as she squeezed her eyes shut... Just as Jimmy turned skeletal, realizing that it didn't need to breathe in that form. However, it was still flailing, now for the sake of it.
The Minipet flailing just caused her to be pulled deeper into the pond as she held her breath, her feet unable to touch the ground, her grip on her beloved Minipet strong.

Mac watched from here he was sitting, soon pulling out the earbuds to his eyePhone to listen. Jimmy? She named her pet...Jimmy? That was...kind of a stupid name, wasn't it? Then again, Lizzy was a strange Demon like Charlie, only less...Charlie. As he pondered her motives behind naming a deer 'Jimmy', he watched her get into the water, and then...slip under it?
He would deny it up and down, but the moment her head went under the water his muscles tensed, his body shifting to allow himself to jump to his feet at a moment's notice.
The Reaper watched. The Minipet continued to flail, but Lizzy never resurfaced. He continued to watch, and wait.
He waited.
And Waited.
When it became clear that she wasn't coming back up, he was on his feet, leaving a trail of clothing behind him as he rushed to where they were; belt, jacket and hat were left behind as he dove into the water, swimming out towards the flailing pet and the stupid girl who put herself into a lot of danger.

Jimmy was now desperate to get away from its owner - she was causing it to sink deeper into the water! It continued to flail, wiggling its skeletal frame; unfortunately, Lizzy took this as it being frightened and only held on tighter, bringing it into a hug as she placed her head on its moving head in an attempt to comfort what she thought was a drowning creature.
While her grip remained strong mainly due to adrenaline, she was slowly losing consciousness from not being able to breath; she exhaled, and then realized that she couldn't possibly inhale or she would soon have water rushing into her lungs. The thought caused a surge of panic to rush through her as she used her remaining strength to hurl Jimmy upwards.
Then there was darkness. Sort of. Everything just went completely silent as she slowly - very slowly - began to float upwards.
Jimmy, now freed and oblivious to what was going on, returned to its original form just as it broke through the surface of the water. It continued to flailed before accidentally turning skeletal again, causing it to float, its hollow bones acting as a sort of floating device. Happily, it began dog-paddling towards the something that was swimming towards it and its owner, a rather creepy skeletal smile forming on its jaw.

Mac would have called out, but with Lizzy's head under the water it was useless. He stayed above the water for as long as he could, but when he saw the minipet swim towards him instead, he frowned. That pet had the mentality of someone he knew, that must was sure already!
Taking a deep breath, he pushed himself under the water, swimming under the crazed deer towards the Demoness who was now not moving. Hooking an arm around her middle, pulling her up towards the surface again. Once he broke through he shook his hair from his head, looking around to get his barrings before swimming back to the shore - careful to avoid the pet that started this in the first place - with Lizzy in tow, being sure to keep her head safely above the water.
"Don't die, stupid Demon!" He commanded, hoping that hearing a voice, even one she hated, would help her cling to consciousness. He wasn't against Demons drowning and hey, some of them could do it by doing stupid things! But not her, he'd get into too much trouble if he just watched her die there. Eventually he made it back onto land, having to carry her bridal style a safer distance from the water.
"C'mon, stupid. Wake up." Mac urged in a grumbling voice, laying her down on the ground and kneeling at her side to look for any indication that she'd come to eventually.

The silence became not-so-silent after what seemed to her like forever, but was actually just a few seconds. She felt herself get tugged along by someone, and she realized that she could breathe, but... She felt so tired that she couldn't muster enough energy to open her eyes or say anything at all. Hearing a rather familiar voice nearby, she couldn't help but winced - if the experience of seeing original-Jimmy explode caused her heart to ache, this was a similar feeling, but less intense.
It did, however, caused her to open her eyes, her vision fuzzy as she groaned; she couldn't really focus on anything, so settled for closing her eyes again. Once she felt something solid under her, she had coughed, the water that had entered her lungs being forced out as she muttered something under her breath; if one listened closely, the word "Jimmy" stood out. She was worried - more about the Minipet's life than her own at that point in time.
It had always made her do stupid things, after all.
"J-Jimmy..." She coughed again before shivering, struggling to try to open her eyes; she was so tired though... Perhaps she should take a nap...
The Reigndeer, having somehow paddled its way to shore, was nibbling on some grass by the pond. It eyed the strange boil (he smelt familiar) and its owner through hollow eye sockets before trotting towards them. It nosed its owner's hand, recognizing its name; when there was no response, it tilted its head before turning to its original form, stubby tail wagging as it curled up beside Lizzy; if she wanted a nap, it would follow!

It was a relief to see her spit up the water, even if some of it did land on him (ew, Demon germs).
"Your idiot Deer is fine." He assured her, spotting 'Jimmy' near the pond, eating something or other. It would be fine, Mac was sure of it. He only left her side once, and that was to go retrieve his things; hat, jacket, belt, eyePhone; before heading back to her, her shivering enough for him to grudgingly put his jacket over her; it was long on him, it did a good enough job as a blanket on her (and Jimmy, by proxy).
Then, he weighed his options; it was obvious she was going to be okay. She was still breathing, the water in her lungs had been coughed up, so there was no real need to rush her to the nurse. He considered waking her up, but waking her up meant he'd have to deal with her, and that wasn't something he really wanted, either.
So, in the end, he merely got to his feet, took one last look to convince himself that she'd be fine, and just left her there. He walked away from her and back to his dorms, leaving his coat behind.
