Mandy wasn’t entirely sure about the intelligence of inviting a total stranger to her room but she did need the help if she was going to get this done and have time to pack for the mandatory field trip. And wasn’t that just thrilling to see as soon as she arrived. She hadn’t forgotten the last field trip this school had gone on yet.
Heaving a sigh at the possibilities she pushed it out of her mind and got back to hanging her hammock at its spot amongst the rafters. It was at least nice she’d been given a nice high ceiling with plenty of climbing space. That and all the plants she brought with her made this place actually feel pretty homely. Defiantly better than the cement cell of a room at her old school.
Dropping down now that she was done with that she went to the boxes lined up against the wall and pulled the first one open. Hmm, looked like her wardrobe box.

Holly couldn't really remember how she had started talking to that other ghoul, a mutual friend maybe, but she seemed nice enough anyway. They spoke a few times and the other mentioned needing help moving in. Nothing else much to do anyway so she made her way over to the monster dorms.
The ghoul still had to pack for the trip herself but being a ghost she didn't really need to pack much at all. Making her way inside, or through the door, Holly walked until she found an open door. She stuck her head inside to see someone unpacking. "Hello? Mandy?" That was her name, right?

A voice pulled Mandy out of her inspection of the box and looking up she gave a brief smile to her guest. “Hey, yeah that’s me. Holly, right? Come on in.”
Now that help was here she felt a brief moment of awkwardness, sure she’d specifically invited her over to help unpack but she was still a guest. Really there was nothing to it but to get straight to the point. “There’s not much left to do, I’ve set up all the hard stuff – Just need to get to boxes unpacked and stuff put away.”
Hmmm, maybe she should throw in some idle chatter as well? “Looking forward to this trip they're sending us on?”. Yes that was a nice safe, neutral topic.

Holly stood there for that brief moment of awkwardness when she wasn't sure what exactly to do either. How do you help someone you don't know unpack their stuff? It had already seemed most of the stuff was actually in the room but just not out of boxes or whatever other containers they were in.
"If you point me to a box, I could help with some easy stuff, yeah?" She hoped the other ghoul understood that. Like clothes were easy to put away she heard, they generally went in that dresser thing. Holly hadn't much use for it herself, not really needing many clothes but had one all the same just incase.
The trip, which, oh... "Yeah, kind of. I wonder what it could be. I mean, you hear about the Christmas one. I was kind of, well, uh, I was there after it was over." Was the first thing she remembered after dying, was Christmas town. "I hope this one doesn't involve that place though."

“That sounds good, how about you take, ahhhh, that box,” pointing to aforementioned box Mandy then motioned to her kitchenette, “and unpack it into the cupboard. It’s just some non-perishables.”
Mandy wasn’t really sure about assigning anything else, she certainly wasn’t going to have a stranger riffling around her clothing and most of her knickknacks had a dozen and one places to go.
At the mention of Christmas town Mandy gave a full body shudder of horror, “I sure hope it doesn’t, anywhere has got to be better than that place. It had a ninja. And a mountain sized fire-breathing… thing.”
Briefly the thought of jinxing it fluttered through Mandy’s mind before recollections of Jingleberry and the Death Charm brushed it aside.

Unpacking. Yeah, she could handle that and it didn't involve needing to know where things went. Holly picked up the box she was shown and took it over to the kitchenette. She opened the cupboard and started to unpack the box. Easy.
Ninja? Holly didn't really know what a ninja was but from the tones of it, it was possibly that Jingleberry thing she'd heard about. "Yeah, no place could be as bad as that right? Nothing as JOYful." She shook her head.
No more talk of those darn tortuous field trips. "Where you from then? Obviously I'm not from any place I can recall but you grew up around here somewhere ya?"

"Yeah, nothing, no reason to worry. The school wouldn't endanger us like that twice."
Mandy was more than glad to take the topic change, even if she did feel a bit embarrassed talking about home.
"Errrr, not really too close actually, I lived out in the Exploding Forests. Bit far in the country side, I know."
It made her feel self-conscious to admit that she was basically a country girl.
"What about you? Where did you come from before coming out here?"
By here, she meant Amity.

Holly shook her head as she continued unpacking the box of assorted kitchen items. "I hope they wouldn't. Really, I can't think of anything that bad." Well she could think of bad things but something worse than Christmas?
Again she nodded. The ghoul hadn't a clue where the Exploding Forests were and thus had no knowledge of what a country girl would have been. "Far is it? I'd love to get to see some place in Halloween besides the school." For that was all she really knew of this place. Dying sucked sometimes.
Speaking of dying. "Huh, well funny story. I, uh, obviously don't know who or what I was before dying but I have some oddities about my, er, rebirth." What did you even call that, after life maybe? "I was not part of that forsaken field trip but..." She felt bad bringing it up but it was part of her story. "The first I thing I can recall is all the snow. I 'woke up' in the Christmas town, not here like other ghosts. From what I can gather, it was right after whatever exploded there." The ghoul shrugged. For what she could gather she might have come from something Christmas related, how JOYful...
