I think the summons were a kind of beta for a game that Gaia is either currently developing or currently has running on facebook and is trying to transfer over to the main site.
I misunderstood but in a sense I also answered your question. If gaia launches the new game there will be a spike in the cost of the summons.
Otherwise I tend to not be to keen on zOMG items as investments because zOMG tends to go in fads, whenever there is an update you can expect a price increase in everything, when the game is stagnant you can expect prices to plummet. Not sure if you're willing to wait on the next update for prices to shoot up because who knows when the next update is.
