The brown lioness watched as another small rock skittered down the side of the short cliff, it wasn't high enough that if Fin wanted to she could leap down and back up without any concern however there was no reason to waste the time or the effort walking below when she could already see the lands. There was very little noise let alone anything of particularly interest though that came as little surprise as the sun was still rising gentle along the edge of the eastern lands. A few birds sung ignoring the presences of the lioness not that Fin minded it was rather amusing to hear the small birds either try to out sing their partner or sing in harmony, it was far more annoying to deal with those who squawked too much.
A light breeze started to filter in sending a chill across Fin's back, despite the elegance of the land the air that flowed from the peaks of the mountains were still cooler than that of the land below. As a cub born and raised on the rogue lands Fin was unfamiliar with the mountains regions until she became a member of the pride. Though, she wasn't sure why she had become a member, originally she saw it as an opportunity to do what she could do best and that was compete, however now her life had started to be come mundane. There was little to no competition within the pride considered there were only two Mpiganajime and it was rare for her to see the other. True she did get the opportunity to hunt for the pride however as of this moment she felt as if she played guard for the pride not that she overall minded doing both considering that lurking along the edge of the pridal lands for food she knew who came and left. However, as of this moment there was little she say that proved to be of use of a meal of course besides the birds not that those were rather tasty.
Resisting the urge to give out a loud sigh as another chill ran down her back from the breeze, before fluttering along the grass and meeting the broad face of a rock. Tucked away in the shadows that started to cast from the early sun was something bright pink in color that moved each time the breeze managed to catch it with its soft embrace. Raising a brow Fin watched it curiously before the feeling of needing to actually touch overwhelmed her. Ignoring the fact that she had left her usual path, the brown lioness crept along the soft green grass allowing little to no sound escape from her body or reach her ears to avoid alerting any other creatures of her own presences. When she reached the shadows of the rock she flattened her body to the ground allowing herself to become eye level with the flower. It was a light pink with dark spots that appeared to stem from its center and dissipate as it got closer to the edge. It had a light fragrant sent not something over powering but enough to sweetened the air. Peering around again Fin quickly snapped the flower from its dark hiding spot and tucked it as well as she could along her neck hoping not to lose it to the breeze before she made her way back to her regular route.
The brilliant pink eyes watched as a cloud floated lazily across the blue sky, the air was slightly crisp from the height of the pridal land, however Delila seemed to have little interest in the shapes of the clouds. Rolling to her feet she looked around before settling her body on the green grass, her tail flicking back and forth as if patiently counting the seconds that she laid there. After a few minutes past she rolled to her side the tuff of her tail still moving, she was bored of waiting and for a juve what was only a few minutes was hours to them in their world. Getting back up on her feet Delila let a sigh escape from her small lungs, Fin was taking forever. She had rushed in from her regular rounds with no food however something seemed urgent, urgent enough for her not to say anything to the juve who had waited all morning for her to return.
"Come on Fin…….." Delila replied her voice edging with annoyance, the same sort of tone that she had used when she was around her other siblings for too long. They were never interested in what she wanted to do, nor did they have any care listening to stories that the story teller told, or wanting to go out into the borderland (in which in all honesty Delila wasn't allowed to either she just like the idea and or being able to go with Fin when she could). They never felt like playing her games even if she made them up in her or used something she heard for them to play, in all honesty the bored her more than waiting. Fin was the only one who she could get to go along with her ideas of fun she, even though would never admit it, played a wonderful bad spirt whenever Delila needed her and Delila would go on a grand quest to vanquish her. Today was one of those days that the a story lurked in her mind to do, now she was just waiting on her player.
Just when Delila was about to roll onto her back again the familiar brown shape emerged from the passageways. "Fin!" the juve cried as she noticed the lioness carrying something on her head.
Waiting until she got close to the juve's feet Fin let the pink flower slide off her head and to the ground near Delila's paws waiting to see her expression
"What's this?" Delila asked peering at it before giving it a sniff, it was pretty and unlike the little flowers that grew around caves and pride lands not to mention had a lovely scent.
"I found it," Fin replied in a bit of joy underlying in her voice, "it's for you." Taking the small flower Fin tucked it behind the small juve's ear looking at her as if she was her own daughter, "A princess should look like a princess even if she is playing the hero." A grin spread on Delila's face as a new story formed in her mind for them to play for the rest of the day.
