Alrighty, so I started with the sketch, and this time actually tried to get anatomy right. :v'  After that was done I was reading some tips about posing and flow. I didn't have an "s" shape flow as was suggested with females, but I did have a curving flow which I liked. One of the tips that caught my eye was called "silhouetting," which is basically when you block in your sketch to see if the silhouette was still as eye-catching. I tried it, and it was terrible. The flow I thought I had was completely lost. So, I decided to fool around and try to fix the flow of the image. It took about twenty minutes, but I finally came up with something I was satisfied with without having to take anything out of the image. And that's all I've done thus far. I changed the sketch again (flipped, fixed some mistakes, straightened her out) then added some basic value, then blew up the picture to about 400%... ...so I re-did the values, playing around with different lighting more. Then I added some base colors as well as more highlights, since the new lighting was kind of dim compared to the old one. :c Now I'm going to start painting over the sketch. c:

Holy Molly! That is getting better and better by each update. I seriously now thinking if I'm even worth being called an artist. Simply B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L, I repeat BEAUTIFUL.

I really like this : D
The only thing I see is there's something funky going on where the dress is over the hips and crotch area... I'm not exactly sure what it is, but something looks a little off to me.
OH, and I think the chin should be resting ON the viollen. Maybe you should look up some refs? If you already have, well then, idk, but I'm pretty sure the chin should be in contact with the instrument.

@H3llium: Hrm, well I painted over that part last night so hopefully it doesn't look as weird.
Yeah, you're right about the chin too. I used to play violin. c:
Once I paint it it should get closer, though if it's not completely connected it should be fine since it is possible to play like that. x3'
Thanks you for the crits! I'd love it if you could take a look at the dress again when I post the update to see if it still looks odd.

is the violin stick thing lol, you can tell how much contact i've had with classical instruments lol, anyway is the stick thing supposed to go behind her head?

No, it's going to go in front, but I'm doing it all on one layer so I don't want to put it in till last since it goes on top of everything. x3'
