Buffy:Ugh. Today hadnt been nearly as eventful as she had expected. It was her first time going on her own little adventure. She had no one with her, and she wasnt sure if that had been that great of an idea.
She couldnt help herself though, the thought of being on her own if only for a few hours was something that made her feel exhilerated. Unfortunately it wasnt living up to how it should.. She groaned, and
stretched her legs with her rump still in the air. Her toes uncurled, her claws unsheathing as she yawned. Regaining her stance, she began walking again, only this time it was alot slower of a pace. She
had no where to be anyway, she might as well look around and make sure she wasnt missing anything. She hated to miss things.
There were lots of peasants out here.. She hadnt seen one lion or creature even that could be labeled as a noble. No purple touched these heathens pelts. It made her a bit wary, though she had one lingering
thought deep in the back of her head. She was in love with an Artisan. A male unable to be a noble, and seen as low class, yet he had stolen her heart so effortlessly.
Her thoughts on him, made her pause, and she sat, thinking of him with a furrowed brow.
Pinch: Orad was terrible at avoiding the territories of others. No matter how he tried it wasn't to be helped. It seemed it was his calling in life to stumble over territorial lines and make a fool of himself, and so far it appeared today would be no different. He hadn't stumbled upon anyone as of yet but he could tell that he was in a territory that others called home. The well worn paths and the mosaic of scents currently assaulting his nostrils attested to that. He hoped this pride was a nice pride -- the leopardess he'd stumbled into had been nice enough but definetly strange.
He slowed his momentum as one scent in particular grew stronger, and as he broke through a bit of underbrush a female came into view. She was a pretty enough lioness, solitary, and she looked to be deep in thought about something. Not wanting to startle the girl, he cleared his throat and waited for a response.
Buffy: She jumped when she heard the other, and her eyes darted to him quickly. Her eyes were as black as her pelt, though they still held some warmth. However when she saw the other she lost such warmth in favor for curiosity. She wasnt sure if the pink in his spots
counted as purple.. She supposed it didnt, which made him yet another peasant to her. She signed. Damn it! Why couldnt she find someone that her parents wouldnt mind her being around? Not like she didnt ruin their ideas of her every chance she got. Its not like she meant
to love who she did.. Or to do what she did. She ahted the fact that she had to worry about these things. But still, right now Mauwi wasnt the lion on her mind. Though this one wasnt being thought of as kindly. She cocked her head, looking him over and snubbing her nose just slightly.
"Who are you? What do you want?" She asked, her voice demanding. She had always had the mindset of a noble. She had always been the first to pass judgement on others. So why had Mauwi slipped through the cracks? Damn it again! There she was thinking about him again. She cleared her
throat in an effort to bring her back to reality and her eyes met his once more.
"Do I need to fear you? I dont! So I better not have to." She said, answering her own question as she eyed the male.
Pinch: "Apologies," Orad said softly, obviously shaken by her rough tone. Of course, there was nothing wrong with being so defensive; he was on her territory and he would have to make it known that he meant her no harm and no ill will. "I am just passing through, I want nothing in particular and I mean you no harm." He hoped that he spoke with the right tone of voice to calm her nerves. He couldn't blame her for being so sharp with him.
"You have no reason to fear me," he mumbled quietly, a puzzled expression on his face, "I would never harm a female." No, Orad had never been the type to harm a female. "Forgive me for interrupting what appeared to be deep thought. I am just a traveler, as I mentioned before, and nothing more."
Buffy: His voice was soft enough that relaxing around him was rather easy. She let her guard down quickly, though she was aware that cuold spell her doom had he been lying to her. Somehow though, she didnt get the feeling he was lying. She tried to smile, but it was a muddled mess of emotion that hse wasnt able to actually make
stop flashing along her face. No doubt he saw her as mean, and maybe she was to the right passerby. But she honestly hadnt meant to be. She had been raised a bit snobby, but her overall temper was hers to control. She usually failed at controlling anything about her temper though. She shrugged her shoulders, as if what he said
really didnt matter too much.
"Well good. Cause I dont fear you." She responded, a nod to emphasis just those words. I wasnt thinking. I was.. well I guess I was thinking, but it wasnt anything I need concern myself with at this very moment." She answered, willing her mind not to go to Mauwi and his soft eyes.. That ever so sweet heart over one eyes. DAMN. She
raised her lip in a growl, though it wasnt aimed at her new found lion company. She soothed her bristle, and apologetically flicked her ears back.
"Aw Im sorry.. Really. Its been a hard time lately, though Im expecting it to get better.. Maybe." She answered. She knew she sounded cryptic, but she wasnt about to just tell him everything. She didnt know him after all!
Pinch: Orad dipped his head in acknowledgement and took a few hesitant steps closer. There was obviously something troubling the female and he wasn't sure how to broach the topic. He was already a stranger in the pride lands and Orad wasn't sure how he'd feel about being a nosy stranger. Sometimes it just helped to talk to a stranger, though. Orad knew that from experience. A troubled mind needed a way to relieve itself of torment, and having a kind ear to talk to often soothed troubled thoughts.
"No apology needed, miss. Please, call me Orad." He grew silent for a moment before speaking again, deciding to be outright and forthcoming with her.
"You seem to have a troubled mind, miss. If you need an ear to bend, please take advantage of the one I have to offer. I find that speaking to one who has no side to take is often the best listener that one can ask for."
Buffy:She smiled when he gave her his name. It was the best compliment someone could give another, is to introduce themselves. She wasnt sure how much she could trust him, but his kindness gave her a bit of hope. She wondered if maybe it was okay to open up to him.. BUt still she wasnt sure and she was clearly distraught.
But she shrugged it off, trying to make it as easy as she could to just even keep up a conversation! She clearly needed to work on her social skills. Apparently they werent as grand as she liked to think, and like her mother liked to tell her. Oh well, she didnt care. She didnt have to meet new people all the time.
But she gave her name easy enough.
"Im Dai'zee. I go by Zee, but for now.. Call me Dai'zee." She said, wanting to make sure that she wasnt going to be too friendly too quickly. She wasnt really fearful of him, but she had to be careful still. It had bred into her the caution she should show others.
"Im a bit troubled, yes. Sometimes love isnt as easy as it could be." She said, finally giving in. Looking up at hte male, she blushed, thought he blush wasnt very visible in the dark setting of her pelt.
"Tell me.. What do you know of love, sir?" She asked, wondering if he could even help her.
Pinch: What did he know of love? Well... that brought a frown to his face. He didn't know anything about love. He'd never been in love, in all honesty. Curling his tail around his toes he looked pensive for a moment before he was ready to speak. Orad didn't think highly of speaking before thinking through your words. It made him feel as if his words meant more when he spent proper time musing about what to say.
"In all honesty, Dai'zee," he began, pausing to chew on his lip, "I have never been in love. I will say, though, some things in life are not easy -- these things are worth fighting for." A spotted shoulder lifted in a small shruge before he turned his gaze back to hers. Having given his opinion on the matter, he would see how she responded.
Buffy: Didnt know anything of love? HA! Then how on earth could he help her? Instantly she was thrown off the idea of him helping, and groaned. She just wasnt going to run into anyone helpful was she?
But when he gave his little bit of advice, she stopped and thought. She supposed he was right.. She thought Mauwi was worth fighting for, so why would she question actually fighting to keep him?
Hmm. So this guy was more intelligent then she had originally given him credit for. Interesting. Though that was a very, very good thing. She didn't want to have to try and explain herself. He seemed
to just get it. So she smiled, and nodded.
"For someone who doesnt know love. Youre very wise." She said, looking at him and letting a thankful gaze come over her face. She was sure now.. She would fight for Muawi because he deserved it. She
hadnt expected to run into someone even remotely helpful.
"Thank you.. Youve eased my mind more than you know."
Pinch Orad fought a smile as he watched the emotions flit across her features. Though he might not know anything about love, he could easily put himself in a position where he found himself head over heels for a female. Crazy in love, one could say. It wouldn't be hard to decide how he'd act. True love doesn't come along every day, so when it does show its face, well, latch on to it and do not let it go.
"I am glad to have been of service," he smiled, dipping his head gracefully, "You seem a strong enough female, fearless, even." He tilted his head to the side, "Any male that you fight for is lucky," he continued softly -- it wasn't a blatant show of appreciation for her looks, but more of a show of appreciation for any female that would so fearlessly fight for the thing she desired most above all others.
Buffy She nodded as if it was only right to be the way she was. She looked at him oddly, as those kind of compliments werent something she was used to hearing. Her looks were usually the first things to be
appreciated when it came to a male. Though none of them had any chance with her, as her heart had belonged to Mauwi for seasons. But it was nice to hear something different from someone. Maybe she wasnt as
offputting as she had thought.
"Well thats a no brainer, but I thank you nonetheless." She said, a small smile tugging on her maw. She sighed, and looked at the sky, watching the sun fade and dwindle away and almost lead into darkness. She
smiled. Well that meant she could go back home. Though home wasnt really one of the places she wanted to be.. She just needed to be free to think, and she figured this was as good as she was going to get. At least
his advice had been right on to her situation..
"Well.. It was a pleasure to meet you my friend. If you should ever visit the Suka'Fumo lands, look me up. Maybe Ill show you around." She said with a kind look.
