The beach is located on the outskirts of the forest and west of the castle. There are small cliffs for diving off of as well as ropes tied to some of the stronger trees that can be used for swinging into the water. The sand is soft and warm on most days. The waters are usually calm, perfect for exploring the reefs. There are several nets spread out across the beach for volleyball or any other games you may want to play. Hammocks are set up in some of the shadier spots with cabins located nearby. Each cabin is equipped with a fridge for if you need some refreshments as well as a bed and other necessities for if you would like to stay the night.

Ray slowly awoke on the shores of the beach. He couldn't remember much but felt a change in the air from where he last was. The young man felt so strange as he peered around. He stood up and planted his feet firmly in the sand. The sand felt warm and he could feel and sense vibrations in it. The wind blew calmly being able to feel out the air sensing the birds that flew through it. It seems his powers were intact.
An odd sensation flowed from his belly, he was hungry. It was so unfamiliar to him and even his body felt rather strange. Ray began to wonder if he used his shadow magic to wipe his mind clean of his memories. Turning his head from side to side he used a mixture of his Light and Shadow magic to sense anyone who may be close by. He stretched it throughout the area getting a glimse of someone in the distance before he felt the limitations of his magical power causing him to collapse on the ground.
"My power... It is so low now. Things have changed... even my body feels strange" he commented to himself. He got up and start to take his first few steps away from the quiet sounds of the ocean waves. Ray had to be careful it was clear he couldn't use his spells the way he was used to and even the range seemed to affect him. The young monk would need t reassess himself in order to better help him adjust.

Kiara followed the new scent to the beach and noticed a man on the sandy shore. He appeared to be her age or fairly close to it. She emerged from the forest shifting back into her human form as she did. Her breathing was even, leaving no hint that she had just run all the way here. He seems lost. Kiara thought to herself as she approached Ray. When she was a few feet away from him the woman spoke. "Hello. My name's Kiara, what's yours?"

Ray turned his head in the direction of the girl. A sash covered his eyes which might make it seem strange. He was wearing a black military like jacket draped gently over his shoulders. He wore silk pants and a silk belt with a skull on the front of them. He appeared to wear no footwear of any kind. Ray then heard a voice speak, the sweet syllables of her voice put him at ease as he smiled and replied.
"My name is Ray, it is nice to meet you Kiara. May I ask where I am? I can't seem to get my powers working like they used to and I seem to be terribly lost. It is not even like I can look at a landmark and tell either" he said with a giggle making a mockery of his own blindness.

"A pleasure to meet you Ray." Kiara smiled back, looking him over for a moment. He seemed different from most of the other people she'd met. "You are in the Crimson Underground. The Shapeshifter Haven, to be exact." She answered, leaving out the part that this was her domain. She found people were more relaxed when they thought she was just a normal person. As normal as anyone else of her race anyhow. "I don't know why your powers aren't working though. To the best of my knowledge there is nothing here that should affect them." If the sash around his eyes wasn't enough of a clue Ray's final words left no doubt in her mind. He was blind.

Ray was on sand right now so his senses were quite clear as he slowly approached Kiara. "I don't know of any such place. Would you be able to show me around please? I hope to get my bearin..." he said as his stomach let out a loud growl and he fell backwards into the sand.
He held his stomach and had a look of confusion on his face, "I am hungry?" he commented seeming even more confused like it was unfamiliar to him.

"Sure." Kiara nodded, realizing afterward that it was pointless to do so. "You can come live with me if you like." She said figuring Ray probably didn't know anyone here since he hadn't even known where he was. She chuckled when his stomach growled. "That's what that usually means, yes." Kiara took his hand in her own to help him up. "Let's go get you some food, I can show you around after."

Ray blushed shyly stuttering in his next words, "Live.. with... you..?"
Ray gripped his stomach with his right and and took her hand with his left getting back on the ground. As he touched her he felt a strange feeling come over him. His body unwittingly changed so that he appeared to look like Kiara. His voice matched hers as he let go of her and and said, "I don't feel right..."
Ray was quick to cover his mouth then explore his new body a little. "What the hell?" he said as he took a breath and began to think to himself. He carefully shed the new form and returned to his usual form. "Whoa that was weird... " he said then turned his head to face Kiara. "What just happened to me?" he asked sounding a little freaked out.

"Yeah. I figured you probably don't know anyone around here and my home is pretty big." Kiara explained. Absently she thought he looked kind of cute when he blushed. Ray probably wouldn't like her telling him that though so she kept the thought to herself. Kiara let out a gasp when he changed. Sure, she'd seen others shift before, but rarely into another person and never into her. He even sounded like her. It was weird. "You, um, shifted." She spoke, still a little surprised. "You changed into me."

Ray thought carefully. He heard her words and put it together, "I can shapeshift I guess" he said still not seeming entirely sure. "It happened when I touched you... here let me try something" he said as he moved to touch her hand again. He managed to touch it even without the help of his sight as if he knew where it was. Ray carefully touched her and didn't change this time. He then willed himself to change partially the change went up his arm and then disappeared as if he was exercising control.
"Fascinating..." he said for lack of better words. "Oh I am sorry I am not used to doing this it is kind of new" he commented.
"Please as you were saying, could you guide me around?" he asked smiling politely.

Kiara nodded. "I guess so." She let him touch her, watching to see if the same thing would happen. It didn't. She waited a moment more as Ray willed himself to change and saw it. His arm became her arm, it was like what she did but with people.
Kiara shrugged. "It takes some getting used to." She said thinking of the half shifters she'd met. Some of them hadn't gotten their powers until they were well into their teens.
"Of course." She smiled, now fully recovered from the shock. "But first we're going to get you something to eat. What kind of food do you like Ray?" She asked while leading him toward one of the cabins.

Ray thought for a few moments, "I.. don't know... " he commented.
"I haven't eaten or rather, I never had to eat for a long time. I can't remember what I like. This feeling is troublesome so I will eat anything to be rid of it" he complained a little.
"I am glad you found me, I am sure it would have been bad if someone not so nice came across me. Would you mind if I stay with you until I find out what is wrong with me?" he asked politely but shyly not wanting to impose.

Kiara turned to him, her eyes alight with curiosity. "How could you survive without eating?" She pushed open the cabin door then led Ray inside and to a chair at the table. Her bare feet padded softly on the wooden floor as she moved about, preparing some food for them. She chuckled a little as he complained. "Anything, huh? I can think of a few things that would make you rethink that statement."
"I try to keep any trouble makers out of this land, but I'm glad I found you too." She said with a smile. She placed the food on two plates and brought them to the table, setting one in front of Ray. It was a simple breakfast meal, scrambled eggs, toast and some bacon. "You are welcome to stay with me as long as you want Ray." Kiara went back to the kitchen area and filled two glasses with water then grabbed a fork for each of them and went to sit down. "I can show you where I live after this, if that's alright?"

"That sounds nice" he said immediately replying to her last statement as a few drops of drool ran down his face. The meal smelled delicious and he didn't hesitate to dig in. The way he shoved everything down his throat really made it seem like he hadn't eaten in a decade. Though Ray did dodge the question of his survival without eating by stuff his face. Despite being blind Ray didn't seem to have much trouble using his utensils or finding the food on his plate. Even the glass of water didn't seem to difficult for him to see.
Ray cleaned his plate and let out a long sigh, "That was very delicious. I can assure you I am not a troublemaker. I have long since grown out of those ways" he said laughing lightly.

Cleo had been searching for this place for ages. She had came across many different types of races in her search and was finally glad to be here. She was exhausted from exploring the lands and remaining in a constant shifted state. She wadded her paws through the thick sand of the beach. It's so hot, I feel like I'm gonna melt. I might cry this is unbearable. The black panther stuck out like a sore thumb, she sniffed the air for the scent of others like her. It had been on the wind earlier and she was sure she was heading in the right direction. Cleo smelled food and two other shifters, she began to salivate. She hadn't eaten in awhile. She could have hunted but she was eager to arrive here. She shifted, returning to her human form. The black fur receded as her bones popped out of place with noises some might call sickening. She rose to her hind legs, the structure of her skeletal system becoming more human. Cleo opened her eyes and shivered, she hated shifting. Her long black tail swayed behind her as she approached the two on the beach, her ears twitching trying to pick up the sounds of conversation. She didn't mean to intrude but she was beyond thirsty and simply wanted to relax in the shade and take a nap. Cleo came across a young man and a woman, she wasn't sure who they were. They were both very cute and she could picture herself having a good time with either of them...maybe both together. She smiled slightly at the images she invoked in her mind, she tail curling around her waist. "Hello. I'm sorry to bother but I smelled food. Could you help a poor kitty out?" She stuck out her lips in a pout, "I'm starving and I'm horribly thirsty." She clasped her hands together in a submissive gesture. "Pretty please with cherries on top? Cleo sounded pitiful but she didn't care she was hungry. Her stomach let out a loud growl in response to her request. She scratched the back of her head nervously.
