Anyone else in band/wind ensemble/orchestra/rock band? What music are you working on? : ) ♪♫ Right now in my wind ensemble we are doing "Morning Star" by Maslanka, "Last Light" by Miley, "Gum-Suckers March" by Percy Granger, and "Country Garden" which is also by Granger.

I played Flute in band for seven years....but now that i'm in college I just can't fit that musical component into my schedule.... But the band I was in, in HS, we played a lot of different type of music...we played classical....ummm....movie soundtracks.....cartoon themes.....peices heavy on woodwinds, brass, percussion....ect.....it was really such a wide variety that it's hard to say we always played one type of music.....I do remember this one piece that was heavy on the Flutes.....it was called "candlenight something or another" but it was really super pretty ^^

Band was one of the best things I ever did in highschool, so inspiring and opened up so many opportunities. Most of the friends I made were also in band, we went on a lot of fantastic trips, and played some really challenging music.
We had a lot of super talented musicians during my band years, myself I played Clarinet. We got featured in Clarinet Candy, got to play Marriage of Figaro, which was a ton of fun, "Ballet Parisien", "Rush", Phantom of the opera and Pirates of the Caribbean arrangements, etc. We also had an amazing trumpet player who was featured in all 3 pieces of Hummel's "Trumpet Concerto" (listen to it if you haven't heard it, amazing) among others..
We also had a Clarinet Choir, got to do "Tidus and Yuna's Last Embrace" from FF10 and some Bach chorales. Wish I'd kept up with it, such great times ;w;
