Syr
Her silver grey coat shimmered with heath, she was well fed and she looked after herself very well. The most important thing about being a commander was that you had to take care of yourself so you could care for your troops. The main problem was that she no longer had any troops, she was alone and though she still walked and talked like an officer, she wasn't one, not any more any way.

Walking through the long prickly grasses of the savannah the leopardess stopped and let out a long bored sigh, why did she have to not have an army behind her any more? It was lonely out here, not thats he would ever admit it, she liked having a command beneath her and being alone was actually making her miss her silly subordinates. Those times were gone and she was alone, bar for Haku who occasionally showed up unannounced. Rolling her shoulders she shakes her head and once again starts her goose step of a walk. Might as well keep moving.

Xennek lazed about in the savanna. The lion was still a bit battered from his last fight, but it was obvious that he was well healed since then. At the moment he was just enjoying the time alone. Sekayi had gotten seperated from him during the last fight and was still angry at him so the younger lion had gone on ahead. Not that he minded, as long as the 'cub' didn't get himself into any trouble.

But he wasn't sleepy anymore. Xennek sighed before standing and stretching out his rather large body. "Might as well." Muttered the lion as he started to walk after the general direction his companion had taken. But just after a few steps he started to catch sight of another feline - a silver leopard who was...walking kinda wierd. The lion just paused and watched her with curiosity.

Syr
Her ears twitched at the sound of an intruder in to her personal space and her head turned, just her head, the rest of her continued to face the direction she had been heading. For a brief moment she raised a brow before pulling to a stop and sitting facing the overly large lion, quite clearly sitting to attention.

"Anselma sir, at your service sir." She stated quite simply, she wasn't really sure if this was a creature of service or just a civilian but by the scars that littered his body she guessed at least he was a warrior and warriors deserved her respect.

Sabra
What an interesting leopard. Usually Xennek would have been stopped by the sheer fact that it was a female, but this time he was honestly just intrigued by the way that she was acting. Standing tall, the lion tilted his head to study her before giving a nod. At his service? Was she a soldier or a scout then for some pride? Still why would she be? The lion just shook his head still confused by this random greeting, "A pleasure, Anselma. I'm Xennek." He grinned lightly, "Though I honestly can't say that I'm at your service, considering I don't serve anyone really."

The silver leopardess nearly barked a laugh at him but she had more military precision than that, she had to be respectful at least until she found out if he was an enemy or not. "Usually provide a service myself sir, military sir, simply bin respectful to ya sir." She rolls off, her ears twitching just slightly.

"Know a warrior when I see one sir, never disrespect those who have the scars sir, gets you in trouble." She states her eyes still facing forwards though she was scanning the large male and deciding if she could take him if he attacked. Probably not but she knew when to beat a military retreat.

Sabra
The dark lion smiled at her, "Ah. You definitely are dedicated." He replied with a nod. He could definitely respect that even if it did make him slightly uncomfortable around the strange leopardess. Maybe it was just a pride thing though for them to be like this? That or it was just how she was. A fighter, but a serviced one. Xennek shook his head before blinking in surprise at her, "Really?"

Honestly he was glad she could recognize it, but what she said about never disrespecting those with scars made the lion smile gratefully. "It can, it really can." He added with a nod, "I thank you for that." Ears twitching the lion suddenly realized that standing over her might not be the best thing to do. So with ease Xennek flopped down onto the ground, "What's a military feline like you doing out here in the rogue lands? If ya don't mind me asking."

Syr
Her ears flattened for a second, and a look of sadness passed over her eyes, but it was there for such a short time it may have only been barely noticed by the large lion. He was glad he sat, though only because he was larger than her, she still had to look up slightly to catch his eyes. Sign of respect looking someone in the eye, though she knew lowering your gaze was one to, she wasn't the lowering your gaze type.

"Long story sir, short version being that my command doesn't need a commander any more." She says, again her tone clipped, simple,s he wasn't one for going in to details, especially with someone she didn't know. Respect yes, open to giving personal questions no.

Sabra
The lion's gaze kept her's evenly and he nodded, "Ah. So once a soldier isn't needed anymore, where's the place for them?" He commented quietly before shaking his head. For a second there he had almost thought that she was going to give him the 'top secret' assignment reply. Did prides even send out felines on things like that anymore? So probably no wars going on around here then. The thought made him sigh. Peace was good yes, but it also meant rusty warriors who couldn't put up a fight like they used too. He wanted to find someone who would put up a great fight with him, but so far he hadn't found one like that yet. Perhaps his companion would one day get strong enough, but for now he was just a 'cub' compared to Xennek.

Either way he didn't press her for details. He knew better than to dig around in a fighter's personal life. Some weren't open like that and the lion respected their decisions."So you're just wandering like I am then." He added with a small smile, "At least I am until I find this pride that's supposedly full of warriors like me." There he could find a reason, or at least get a couple of good fights. Though he really hoped that it may even become his home. Sekayi seemed to think that it would.

Syr
She was loath to admit that she was a warrior without a fight, a general without a command. She was very reluctant to admit that she hadn't gone down with her ship as she should have done. Not that she hadn't wanted to but they, they decided she needed to suffer and rather than put her down with the rest of her 'men' she had been left alone unwilling to take her own life and not foolishly suicidal enough to jump in to a battle with a warrior like Xennek.

Inner monologue aside she nodded. "yes sir, no fights left around here sir, just..Just me sir." She clears her throat feeling the catch as she said that she wanted a command again but she didn't know where to go to find one. "Not happy alone sir. Hard graft ordering oneself around." She laughed a short clipped laugh. "Joke sir. Not very good at them I'm afraid."

Sabra
Xennek watched her quietly. For someone who usually jumped into things the lion was actually listening and trying to figure this leopardess out. Something about her was off, a sorrow maybe? But remembering what she said made what he was trying to figure out make sense. She was a fighter, a soldier without rank now. If he somehow lost his ability to travel, to fight then he would probably be feeling something similiar. He frowned. What would he do if something like that ever happened? The thought was scary.

"Ah. Good try though." He replied trying his best to smile for her though it didn't reach his somber gaze, "Hey. A soldier can always find a place, they just have to work for it." He commented, "Travel, find yourself again. Experience new things. I'm sure you'll find another point to settle at. Soldiers aren't supposed to give up after all. Even if they seem to be completely alone out here." She would find a place or something to ease the pain. At least he hoped so.

Syr
"Kind words sir but am too old to take up a command again now sir. Not lead a battalion in so long probably too rusty for it." She scoffed a short clipped laugh a look of sorrow passing across her eyes. She wasn't really that old, old enough o have seen a few military strikes and to have seen her battalion, her family, her everything torn from her, but sorrow had aged her and loneliness had clipped her wings.

"Sure I'll find something though sir. Not much around for a veteran when theres no war to fight. Nothin' to defend any more sir." Her ears twitched and she placed a quick stiff smile on her lips. "Sure theres something out there sir, worlds full of creatures after all." She clears her throat looking for the first time past the deep red warrior. "Probably should be going sir. Took up enough of your time. Probably on your way to a fight sir, sorry I kept you dallying." She waits quietly, perhaps waiting to be dismissed from his presence, her golden eyes steely. Perhaps she had said too much to this lion warrior but respect where it was due he'd certainly listened to her.

Sabra
Xennek frowned at the way she just accepted things. Shouldn't she try at least? It made him pity her the way that she just seemed to give up on fighting. It was obviously important to her after all. "I don't believe that." He commented before sighing, "But yes. Just keep your eyes open as you get going, soldier." He smiled at her before rising to his paws. "Don't worry about it." He stated looking back at her, "You didn't waste any of my time. I found it rather interesting." The lion slowly approached her and gently nudged her shoulder, "Take care, Anselma."

The lion started walking away and only paused once to call out to her, "You're dismissed!" Then without another sound Xennek was running and quickly gone from sight.

Syr
The leopardess nodded ehr head as the big male lion got to his paws and trotted away, she waited for a moment pleased to hear the words dismissed. She smiles,s he hadn't been a soldier for a long time, at least it felt like an age, since she had lead troops in to a battle. Still, that Xennek he was what she would consider a military creature and more to the point a commander even above her own station.

Perhaps it wasn't time to give up after all? Rolling her shoulders she gets to her paws and continues to march onwards in search of a command once again
