Almost all MC's are a good hoard because they won't be released again, which causes them to inflate over time. If you are going to invest in them look into how fast they move through the MP and how well they've inflated since they were released. Lastly MC hoards tend to be 6months+ are you willing and able to keep your gold tied up for that long? If you are just starting out with hoarding I suggest to stay away from MC's they are your back burner investments.

Those are good investments, I would use cash to buy them though. Or at least that is what I do. This way you still have your gold for hoarding stuff. But I wouldn't go and buy old MC letters, just wait for the new ones.

I try to avoid letters after 09 since it was around then we got a huge boom in membership. Because of that the numbers of letters out there are vastly more than years before.
As Cryptex said, if you're really interesting in those letters pay attention to BOTH charts. Far too many people only pay attention to the first one to see how high the price might get and don't take into account the second which will help you figure out how long it'll take to get there.
