Winter still had its icy fingers wrapped around the world, but spring was slowly showing its face. Anaon huffed out her warm breath and loved how she could see the fog emanating from her mouth. “Look I am a dragon! Rawr!” She flapped her small wings and giggled at the sight she must have made; she had been traveling with her mother as she searched for her family and she was slowly growing bored with the slow pace, so her mind likes to wander and invent situations that would never happen.
Today Anaon left her mother and sister standing in a glade chewing on lush grass; she did not want to eat, she wanted to do something productive. As she explored the nearby area, her thoughts began to stray from her current adventure, then the realization hit; the reason why she was so antsy was because she had not pulled a trick in a while.
The mocha colored filly shook her head, ‘had it really been that long? It had been a few days at the most.’ Knowing that she would not shake this feeling until she pulled a prank, Anaon went deeper into the woods to fulfill her scheme on the poor unsuspecting squirrels.

The cold didn't bother the dark colt and he wasn't exactly sure why. Even if the cold did affect him, Abbadon wouldn't let it stop him from his wandering. Once again, he found himself having roamed pretty far from his mother, the stallion she was traveling with, and his siblings. He knew the consequences to this when he came back too, but even that never gave him pause from leaving. For some odd reason, he felt himself being rather... how could he put it? Different... from his family. Sure, his sister seemed to have ice on her front legs, but neither her eyes or legs glowed bright. Some other unknown reason to him and his family left him being rather distant from them as well. Whatever the case may be, he roamed further and further away from 'home'.
After some time, the horned colt ran across the edge of a forest. His red eyes glanced up at the tall trees for a moment, ears flicking lightly. He stood there for a moment, tail wagging lightly behind him, pondering whether to go in or not. It was an easy answer to give himself. With a small snort, he stepped between the trees and into the forest. The red spots on his legs shone more apparently as the surroundings darkened from the leaves of the trees blocking out most of the sun. Not thinking anything of it anymore, he ventured further into the forest, watching the forest life do its thing.

The squirrels did not expect a thing; happy they were in their little nests, oblivious of what was to pass in a couple of minutes. Anaon was giddy with happiness as all the components of her trick fell into place, in just a few short moments she would no longer feel the constant antsy sensation that possessed her body.
Her words came out in puffs that became visible in the crisp forest air, “Three... two… o---“ Anaon stopped her counting at the sound of soft hooves approaching. A faint crackle of leaves, a quiet constant thud of hooves on the hard earth; as the young filly closed her eyes to listen better for the pacing of the hoof falls, she realized that it was not an adult sauntering though the woods, but a foal. Wings lifted as the young filly shrugged, it was probably her Amelia trying to sneak up on her to get back at her for all those pranks she pulled.
A wide smile crossed the little foal’s countenance; her sister would not find her unaware, for using her dark natural colors, Anaon blended into the shadows of the trees, ready to pounce out of her hiding spot at the first sign of green flaming hooves.
In front of her the bushes rustled as a dark figure made its way into the clearing, Anaon did not see the green flames, but that did not stop her, for what if Amelia finally learned to control her flame? Muscles bunched and out of the shadows she flew, where she found herself face to face to a curious looking cult.
“You’re not my sister.”

The dark foal continued to move deeper into the trees, watching the lights on his legs seem to leave behind glowing 'streams' of light with every step of his. He snorted at that and shook his head. Perhaps one day, he will learn to shut that off, but for now, he would just have to deal with it. His siblings were lucky. That's all he thought of it as he stopped in his tracks and looked around.
The colt was sure he heard something. Looking around, he started to feel ridiculous for thinking this. It was the forest, almost everything made some sort of noise. He could just be hearing the rustling of the leaves in the trees from the wind. Abbadon just scoffed at himself at stopping for something stupid like that. With that, he returned to his 'journey' through the threes. Pressing a bit further though, he soon found that his initial assumption was right, there was something else rustling through the plants.
After a few more steps, he found himself with a winged filly in front of him. Her comment made him snort. "I'm sorry to disappoint."

“Oh no disappointment here… at the moment you are more interesting, well that is mostly because you aren’t my sister.” Anaon smiled at the dark foal, it has been awhile since she had anyone to talk to that was not obligated to have a conversation with her because they were blood, well not including the squirrels…. With a shake of the head, Ana let that thought dissipate and turned her full attention on the cult standing before her, “Hi, I’m Anaon, but you can call me Ana for short. What’s your name? I’m sure that it is something really unique. Sorry that I am talking so much, it’s just that you are the first soquili I have come across in a looooong time and it is really great to have someone to talk to. Though I am not including my sister in that grouping because she not really one for conversation with me.” Anaon closed her mouth before she would destroy any other chance that she may have at creating a friendship with the odd soquili before her; bright green eyes watched how the colt would react to her stream of words. His next move would determine if the relationship will continue or turn to dust much like the earth does when it encounters her sister’s hooves.

He was caught a little off guard when the filly had said that she wasn't disappointed in meeting him. He snorted. If that wasn't the case, then she was affected negatively in another way. Whatever the case, he had wanted to move off before anything could happen, whether it was her screaming or anything else. It seems to be the latter as she began to talk his ear off. Telling him her name, asking him for his, rambling about not talking to other soquili for awhile... things he didn't care about. When she finally quieted down, he remained silent, glaring at her questioning, wondering how she was able to breathe through that mass of words. He still wanted to get away from the girl in front of him, but he was taught by his mother that if someone gives one their name, one should at least give them the courtesy of giving them their own. Out of everything she said, that sticks. With a snort, he opened his mouth and replied dryly, but simply, "Abbadon Elric."

Anaon raised an eye brow at the dark colored cult, “You’re not really talkative are you, Mister Abbadon Elric? That is such a strange name, what does it mean? Oh and it is a pleasure to meet you!” The name Elric rang a bell in her head, but the filly could not place from where, perhaps it was just something that sounded familiar to another word; with a shrug the tiny foal prushed the thought out of her mind as a more pressing matter became active in her brain: Abbadon was still there, standing before her. A big smile crossed the filly’s countenance; he had not fled in the opposite direction of her presence after her barrage of words, which was a very good sign. Anaon Nox decided she would take the risk, she did not have much to lose, but so much to gain from her next question, her green eyes looked at Abbabon, “Will you be my friend?”
With a conviction, the decision came to her, even if he said no, she would convince him that she would be a great friend and would continue trying until her mother called her back to her side.

Abbadon's brows furrowed together as the filly in front of him just yammered on and on as she talked. He began to wonder why he stuck around long enough to even give her his name. He snorted as she commented about him not being talkative, rolling his eyes. At her question about his last name meaning something, he just shook his head. She then began to muse things over. This could be his chance, with that, he turned to walk away but soon, another question was posed that made him stop in his tracks.
'Will you be my friend?' A friend? What is that? He questioned, giving her a look that obviously showed that he was confused. He then had to think that it was generally a good thing for this filly, so automatically, it became a thing he didn't want to be. Shaking his head once again, he replied. "No... you wouldn't want me as this... friend."

Bright green eyes took in the obvious confusion of the colt, did he truly not know what a friend was or was he just unsure of her reasons behind the offer. His words sent a shock through her tiny body; he did not see himself as friend material, well she would just have to prove him wrong.
“Why wouldn’t I want you as a friend? You’re interesting and you appear to be a very good listener. Oh! And you are not family, that is a big one, since not many people who are not related put up with my crazy ways and talkative nature,” Anaon smiles at him expectantly as she ponders what the colt would say next. She was not oblivious to Abbadon’s apparent unease in her presence and she noticed that at times he had attempted to leave; Anaon just wanted him to like her and she knew that would happen once he got to know her. She was not as crazy as she seemed.

Whatever comfort she was trying to give him by explaining why she would want him as a friend, she lost it when the word interesting came out. An uneasy grimace came to his face and his ears flattened against his skull. He backed away from her some more, not caring that he was a so-called 'good listener' or 'not family'. She seemed to have a big emphasis on the fact that he wasn't related to her, not like he cared, but that didn't mean he wasn't curious. "What is so bad about family being friends?" He asked. If it wasn't for the fact he was remaining distant from his family for their comfort, he would love to have his family as his friends as well.

A slight frown appeared on the filly’s countenance, she was losing Abbadon and losing him fast; she quickly changed her frown into a grin, she still had time to lure him into being her friend. Anaon cocked her said to the side as she pondered his question, “I never said that they cannot be friends, I think that my sister is one of my closest friends, it is just better at times to have friends outside the family, you know? And when a friend becomes close enough, they become like family,” she smiled at the colt, her bright green eyes flashing.

In all honesty, the colt was a little happy to see the frown on the filly's face, though he didn't show it. He had thought that she would finally leave him alone. That was far from the case. Instead, the grin returned to her muzzle as she then told him that family can be friends and friends soon become family... or some nonsense like that. He snorted, glowing red eyes flashing in response. "No... I do not know."
