
It was early morning. The sun had just finished rising and a certain little black cub was wide awake and alert. Too restless to sleep anymore, Parvaneh had left the den with her father, two mothers, and her siblings. If they still wanted to sleep she didn't want to disturb them.
Outside she paced slightly. She wanted to go off and play, but didn't want to be alone. The wind was dancing through some long grass over the hill yonder and beckoned her to come dance with it. Parvaneh turned her head left and right. Her green eyes looking for someone to go with her.
