It was another late afternoon and the young lion was once again separated from his older companion. "I just hope he didn't get killed this time." Muttered Sekayi as he rinsed more dried blood off of his body. Thank the gods for watering holes. He had been traveling all day looking for any source of water to get the stink off. Unlike Xennek, he didn't really care about having blood in his fur. Especially if it was his - nasty reminder of having let his guard down. Well at least this time most of the blood that swirled in the water around him didn't belong to him. The thought made the lion grin.

Oh the perks of training and finally being able to have some confidence in his own skills. "I just hope no one was really planning on having clean water today." He commented splashing back towards shore. Eh, surely it wouldn't be long til the next rain. That would clean away the rest of the mess.

God’s be blessed for watering holes. Safi was deep into his journey, having recently left his beloved twin behind for the life he had always dreamed of. Of course, he was no push over by far. He had taken to living on his own quite well, and was insanely happy when he found yet another watering hole on his own.

A nice cold drink was what he needed. Something to tame the ache that had lodged in the back of his throat, something wonderfully crisp and- “What in the hell?!” Was that…blood in the water? Bright orchid eyes scanned the water and landed on a red coat, belonging to the unfortunate victim of his growing temper. “Did you even think someone might want a drink before dunking yourself in?”

Oh crap. Sekayi's ears twitched as he noted the approach of another feline. And to think that he had almost been so close to being gone, away from this mess. Please don't tell me that I'm about to shed more blood. He thought before looking back over his shoulder to the one talking to him. A pure white...something. Not quite lion yet nothing like a leopard or cheetah. Probably a hybrid. Whatever lion that would mate with a lesser species must have had something wrong with it.

"Sorry. Guess you should have been here sooner." He commented with a shrug. It wasn't like he could go back in time and change it. Sekayi turned away and started to walk. This wasn't his problem anymore, the other feline would just have to find another source of water. Or drink what was here. It didn't matter to him

“Thanks for that, jack a**.” Despite his initial disgust, the leopon was still thirsty, and bent his head down next to the bloodied water for a drink. It curled his nose, but after a while the effects started to fade. Who was that guy, anyway? And where did he get off acting like that? If he didn’t know any better, Safi would have thought he was looking at a red version of his father.

Like that would ever happen.

“I’m sure the ladies love that attitude of yours,” He murmured nonchalantly into the water, fat tail swaying coyly behind him. “Eh, what am I going on about? The doomed are doomed, I suppose.”

If he had been Xennek, the lion would have instantly swerved around to smack that hybrid across the face. As it was Sekayi had to fight to behave himself. "Anytime." He didn't even look back, though the sound of the other being in the water made his lip curl. He was seriously drinking from that mess? The lion shook his head, if only he knew where most of it came from. He probably wouldn't be drinking it.

Sekayi had paused but was meaning to move on before the hybrid spoke again. "I'm sure you wouldn't know what ladies think." He wasn't about to loose his temper, yet. But this guy sure had a mouth on him. Maybe he should help him to shut it?

On the contrary, Safi would have drunk anything laid out before him. This muddled mess was nothing compared to some of the concoctions his father had forced onto him so that he would survive the rogue lands. At first, he had hated the elder lion for that, and now…he was slightly grateful. Just slightly. Like, a smidgeon.

Safi laughed. “You’d be surprised.” That odd thing was, he wasn’t being cocky; just speaking from experience. Since he had become an adolescent, Safi had been around more females than he had ever dreamed, and to be able to mentally slap this lion around with that was something of a God send to him.

"Oh, I'm sorry." The lion had turned to face the hybrid with his lips curled into a faint smirk, "Did I mistake you for a male is that what you are saying? Or do females mistake you often for their own kind and whine to you about life?"

Honestly, he didn't understand what the big deal was about females. While he treasured his own sisters and his mother that was about it. Any other female had had been able to meet out in the rogue lands had been some flirt that got Xennek's time for one night. He hated that - it meant another night without an evening training session. Stupid females.

Safi's head snapped towards the lion with a growl rumbling in his chest. He didn't have to take that kind of talk from anyone, much less some punk a** like him.

"If you think all females are good for are whining, I pity you. They go to strong, capable males who have an inner strength that you are damn well lacking. The only reason you can tease others is because your such a frigging loser that you can't get laid." By the end, he was standing up and halfway to the other male, heat flaring in his pale cheeks. Even if he did look at females like a piece of a**, at least he respected them and others. This guy...this guy was just an a**.

Oh? Sekayi's gaze slid over to study the hybrid and the lion couldn't help but to feel a bit of satisfaction at the reaction he had caused. "Struck a nerve did I?" He commented lightly before shrugging, "If saying that makes you feel better then go for it."

Honestly he was tired of this talk. Did the hybrid really think that he cared about what he said? Especially if he was talking about females while trying to insult him in the same sentance. If a lion or in this case feline had to prove his manhood through sleeping with the ladies then that was retarded. He didn't need a bunch of flings, if he wanted he could have had them already.

He would never be the cause of a lone female raising cubs. What type of true male did that to a female? It was awful. He was lucky to have had such a strong willed mother. He'd seen other females literally go to pieces after a fling. This thing could keep his talk of manhood if that's all it amounted to. He didn't even feel like fighting anymore. The lion scoffed before shaking his head at the hybrid. "Pitiful."

He was really tired of this, he still had to find Xennek. That thought in mind the lion just sighed before starting to walk off, away from the hybrid.

Safi couldn't stand it anymore. In his family, if someone talked to you that way, you showed them exactly what you meant. This wasn't the way he wanted he wanted things to go down, but he had little choice. He couldn't afford to harm himself, not when he was alone like this.

So the leopon kept his mouth shut, watching agressively as the other started to leave before taking off to the West.
