She stood under an evergreen tree and looked out over the open area ahead of her. The days were growing longer, warm enough to start melting snow. Today however, the sky was cloudy, over cast. Her foals had pleaded to stay with their grandparents too engrossed in the stories their grandfather had to tell. She shook her head slightly as she thought of her father cashing the three little ones around and playing the hero or villain to suit their game. It was funny how even a big warrior could be as soft with his family.
It had been lucky they had wanted to spend the time with their grandparents this day, It left her time to herself. She found now with her foals she had so little time to just be alone, explore a little. She almost missed it even if she wouldn't give up her children just to wander aimlessly once more. There would be time for that when they were old enough to fend for themselves after all.

The neon coated stallion walked slowly through the open field smiling only slightly since he was utterly bored. He was so bored that he slept almost the whole day yesterday. It annoyed him when he did that because he didn't want to be a boring Soq. That wasn't who he was. There wasn't much that could be done around here though. He gave a snort before peeking up seeing a mare wandering into the same open field he was in. She was pretty from what he could see, but he didn't know if she would keep his interest for long. He was the most attractive one in his own eyes after all. So it would take a drop dead gorgeous mare to keep him settled.
He trotted slowly over to her and smiled flicking his kelpi tail around behind him. "Hello miss. What brings you about? Count this as a gift that your meeting me because you will come across no finer stallions in the area." He grinned and his pompous arrogant mode just turned on.

She cocked a brow as the stallion approached her and started claiming such greatness. It brought a snort and an unamused look as she looked him over. "Flashy colors and a big ego hardly warrants one as such a status of being the greatest in my opinion. Your neck must really get tired after lugging around such a inflated head." She flicked her tail and wondered what was with such a stallion trying to boast instead of proving his merit to her.

Razzi gave a laugh. He just had to. This mare was amusing in thinking his head was so big on his shoulders that he would be tired. In reality he had a nicely sculpted head that showed his features quite nicely. "I highly doubt that. I don't really get all that tired to be honest. I guess I have a lot of energy or something." He shrugged his shoulders before flicking his tail behind himself in slight agitation. "Your quite beautiful though. But I have slight suspicion that I have seen another that looked similar to you. Perhaps you have children?" He asked her tilting his head and grinning a bit. "Do you like to have fun?" He asked as he tossed the glowsticks up into the air then caught them again. He wasn't trying to impress her. He just was being his usual self.

She hesitated at his compliment a moment before answering him. "Thanks... And yet I do have children.. three in fact but they're not yet adults, still just foals." She gave a small smile. Her foals were a wounder and often made her smile when thinking of them. "I do have siblings though.. perhaps you've seen one of them in the distance." She shook the thought aside and perked her ears at his next question. "It depends on the fun.. but usually, yes I do like to have fun." She gave a small shrug.

Razzi eyed the female more knowing now he probably met siblings of hers or seen some siblings of hers before. It wasn't too big of a deal, but he always liked seeing pretty mare's wandering around. "Ah I see. That might have been it then." He nodded to her and smiled at her last comment. The only problem was his idea of fun was pretty much anything. He didn't have a limit and usually liked playing pranks on other Soq. It got him by the day. "Do you have a mate or anything?" He asked as he flicked his tail behind himself and began to walk about from her. He loved flirting with females because he knew he was better looking then every single one of them. It was all a game to him and most of the time he was telling the truth, but he also did lie or over exaggerate a bit. It was just how he was and is. "By the way you can call me Razzi." He grinned back at her as he continued to walk.

"Razzi hmm? Interesting.." She sighed some still unamused with his questions and advances. "No, I don't have a mate.. Not that it really matters much. One doesn't necessarily need to have a mate in order to procreate." Her left ear flicked to face behind her as she watched him walk around. Just what was this male playing at? Intrigued, she wondered where this was going. Couldn't very well find out if you refused to speak or introduce herself. "Merashik.. My name's Merashik.. though I suppose you can call me Mera for short if you like." Her left ear flicked forward once again.

Razzi blinked a bit hearing her and didn't mind her view on procreation, but he didn't know if he agreed. He didn't know if he would ever have a lifemate, but then if he met the right female he wouldn't mind it one bit. It just all depends on the situation and who it was. "Ah I see. So I'm guessing that is what happened to you then?" He asked grinning at her name liking it the more he stated it in his mind. "It's nice to meet you Mera." He said still grinning before moving over to her and nuzzling her very lightly. "Your quite beautiful though and I can see why you would have children. You know how some mare's just look...unfitting for the position? Well you don't." He said to her nuzzling her very lightly again. He didn't mean any of this of course. Playing the flirting and field was his kind of thing.

She gave a small shrug. "My friend and I had a moment of curiosity.. It just happened that my little ones were the end result of such curiosities." As he nuzzled her she blinked and stepped aside. "What the deuce do you think you're doing?" She scoffed at him, stamping her foot in annoyance. She didn't get this game, didn't like it.. it was new.. peculiar and most unlike any of her other dealings with the males she'd met in the past. "Thank you, but I think you hardly mean the lies that spew from your mouth.. " She arched a brow. "I'm not nearly as lovely as many of the mares about." She scoffed once more. She knew she looked more battle hardened than one of those preening prima-donas. This had tipped fer into an increasingly foul mood.

Razzi watched the female a bit and could notice right away that she could very well take care of herself. She had a rough personality, but it wasn't too rough and it was probably because the stallion ran off on her. Even if it wasn't meant to last the least he could have done was be there for her and the kids. Why was he worrying about that? He was a free-spirit himself and didn't think he would ever be tied down unless the female was REALLY gorgeous. He was a little full of himself and most of the time he knew when to end his ego boost.
"Well at least you didn't throw the baskets away or something."
He said to her and blinked a few times not believing that she didn't think she was pretty. Now he couldn't have that. She was definitely pretty and that was a fact. But how would he get her to see it?
"Lies? I would never lie about beauty. If someone was ugly I wouldn't be afraid to let them know it, but I praise and adore those that are pretty. You for one are gorgeous. I don't know why you don't believe that you are. Why do you feel this way? There has to be a reason..No matter what you look like or your background there is still beauty."
He told her with a nod as he flicked his hair over his shoulder before grinning a bit.

She gave a bemused snort. "I couldn't toss the baskets away.. for regardless of if things didn't pan out between the stallion and myself they were still my responsibility.. and the father and I still remained friends so it's not like I had to do it all alone." She gave a small shrug at his questioning on her reason for disbelief in his sincerity. "You could say I'm to rough around the edges for most to deem pretty.. pretty is often coupled with fairness.. delicate behaviors.. not the kind of actions that has a mare wallowing in mud for the sheer joy of how it feels in her coat. or roughhousing with family members so as to hone her battle techniques.. or fighting and bearing scars of her fights like badges or reminders of her short comings so as to better her training. each scar is a reminder of why I must train and become better. Beauty for me.. is the glint of sunlight off of a well sharpened spear.. the smell of battle armor or the flourish of a cloth coat.. the creaking of hardened leather as the body moves and the subtle ripple of muscle as it moves in sync with a skill. but then.. I guess if you're referring to one's own personal beauty then I guess I could agree.. I just don't often hear flattery such as yours so.. forgive me if I'm skeptical of your sincerity."
