Hilarious Werewolf

Her feet had led her to her room, part of her afraid to go anywhere else. Really, she didn't know where else to go right now! So she was standing just inside her room, eyes staring at nothing. Her arms were wrapped around her tightly and she fought the urge to crumble to the floor. Part of her wanted to go look in the mirror, see the hand print she knew would be there. But she couldn't. Or...didn't want to. Or...LW didn't know.

But one thing was bothering her. And it was the fear that was instilled in her. Jackdamnit! She really was a pathetic thing right now. Where could she go...her mind all but gave her the metaphorical bitchslap. How out of it was she if she couldn't even think to go to a friend. A friend that was always there if she needed them.

The she-wolf was already out the door without a second thought and padded towards a friend. Alessa. LW's arms tightened even more the closer she got to her friend's room. Was this the right thing to do? What if the ghost ghoul came after her again? That would mean she was pulling Alessa into this. But...she just needed a friend right now!

Hand shaking, she knocked softly on the door once before hesitantly trying the door knob. It opened easily, which was no surprise. A small part of the she-wolf wished it had been locked. However it wasn't and that was all that she needed to slip in and almost lose it. Almost.

"A-Alessa...?" LW said in a small voice, looking very much like the beaten puppy she currently was. "I...I could really...use some ghoul time." She said lamely.

Alessa had been on her bed, scribbling down some notes for Human Studies, when when heard the knock at he door. "Come in!" she called, but the door was already opening when she'd said it. She looked up, smiling naturally at the familiar ghoul in her doorway when...she realized LW looked a mess. It wasn't just her appearance, either, which was startling in itself, but also how frightened she seemed. Beat down.

She immediately sprang off the bed, abandoning her notebook and paper to the blankets as she rushed over to her friend. There she reached out and took her arm, trying to lead her over to the couch or the bed, just somewhere where the werewolf-ghoul could sit. "LW, what happened?" She asked. Her concern was obvious, almost overwhelming, but there was a sharpness to her too. An edge. She sensed that this wasn't something like LW had just tripped. Someone had done this to her and she very much wanted to go and give that person a piece of her mind.

"LW, who hit you?" Though it was a question, her tone of voice didn't seem to leave much room for her not to answer.

Her body shook just a little, aftereffects of being so on edge and terrified at the same time. She felt small. Very small. Especially with the undertone she was catching in Alessa's voice. Maybe she could still escape now? Go...somewhere...

LW didn't fight as Alessa led her towards the couch. She sat heavily against it and closed her eyes, curling up after pulling her knees up, fighting off the emotional break down that still threatened to overtake her. "I-I...I...can I have a cold rag? Please?" The she-wolf opened her eyes and looked up at the ghoul. She couldn't hide just how upset she was anymore. Not around Alessa. The ghoul was her only ghoul friend and she felt she could share pretty much anything with her.

Yet those words of being pathetic and the runt and basically a poor excuse of a werewolf haunted her. "I...I don't know who!" Finally she lost it and buried her head against her knees. "I've seen the ghoul around many times. But I don't know her name!" Her tail wrapped tightly around her legs. "I was still over at Gabe's. And she just...came over. Ghost. She was a ghost. Blue hair...jealous..."

A choked sound escaped that was muffled by her knees. "She was right. I am pathetic. And the runt." That one sill bothered her the most. Probably because her sister called her runt all the time.

"Hush. Just rest for now," Alessa said with motherly patience. She passed LW a pillow or two from her bed, knowing the ghoul was fond of them, and then propped open her bathroom door so that she could get what LW requested and still listen to her. She went about it with a calm deliberation. There was a very subtle hint of tension, too, though not directed at LW herself. It was restraint. Alessa was a very emotional person, her very sensible nature aside. It took her a lot to not go off, looking for this bully immediately. LW's needs, however, were far more pressing and they kept Alessa here. And they kept her calm.

She let the water cool before wetting the rag and then wringing out the excess moisture. She then brought it over to LW, handing it to her very gently, before going and using her electric hot-pot to heat up some water. By the look of what she set out, two mugs and honey, she was making tea.

"The ghoul who kissed Gabe a couple of times during Spin the Bottle?" Alessa asked carefully. She didn't know the ghoul's name, or much about her at all really, but she certainly hadn't made a very good impression with this.

Once she'd poured the hot water, she brought over the two mugs, taking a very slow, careful seat next to LW. She set her mug on the floor near the feet, offering the other to the ghoul. With her free hand she put a hand on LW's arm. She said, softly, but earnestly, "You are not pathetic. Bullies are pathetic. Come on. Have some of this."

Resting sounded very nice to the she-wolf. Except for the small problem of she was terrified to fall asleep. What if the ghost ghoul came back and did something to her? She had already been at a disadvantage before. Being ambushed while sleeping meant she stood no chance. Absently, LW clutched the pillows that Alessa handed her tightly, burying her head into that and inhaling her friends scent. She was safe. Right?

It took her a minute to comprehend that the rabbit was holding out a cold rag to her. LW gratefully took it and placed the cool object gently against the side of her face. Her head hurt and the spot was tender. This only caused her to curl her tail closer to her legs. Why had this all happened?

Alessa's voice startled her a little but the words she spoke made LW nod her head slowly, lifting it enough that she could look at her friend. "Yes. The ghoul from Spin the Bottle." At least the shaking has stopped. She thought to herself.

"I...I really don't know why..." The she-wolf rested her chin on top of the pillow she clutched, still holding the cold cloth to the side of her face. "I'm sorry." LW said softly. She felt bad (especially after all that the ghost ghoul had said to her) for dumping her problem on Alessa. But she desperately wanted the comfort of a friend. "Thank you." Candlejack. Her hands were shaking again as she grabbed the offered cup of tea. It smelled sweet and the aroma was relaxing. She inhaled deeply before sipping experimentally. "Thank you, Alessa." LW said again, but this time a small smile accompanied her words.

"Some people don't need a reason," Alessa said bitterly, disgust lacing her tone, "Or just a little one even." She shook her head and took a breath. Now wasn't the time for anger. She could be angry later, when she didn't need to tend to LW. She knew, guiltily, that her negative feelings might only make the werewolf ghoul feel worse.

She was glad to see LW was drinking the tea she'd given her. It was a blend that was meant to be soothing by nature and the honey she put in probably helped a little too. Plus it was warm. Alessa reached out and stroked her friend's hair, all to aware of how LW's hands shook. The thing about being a monster, which she was sure the other ghoul knew, was that physical signs were often the most noticeable.

"Do you want to stay here tonight?" She asked. She didn't know that LW thought Sarias might come after her again, but she did offer just in case she wanted the company.
