Hello fellow members and the occasional stalker or two~
I'm here to ask for a bit of advice for who ever feeling curtious enough to offer it. I do realize this has nothing to do with art from any catagory, but i felt i needed to post this. Im sorry if anyone hates me for making this thread, if it were deleted by some reason i wouldnt really be upset. Here goes.

Im a bi-curious person. At times i feel that girls are very attractive while at others i think males are enough for my wants. Im bi-curious because i've never had to guts to actually do anything to "test" if i really am. Im scare to.. because A. I wouldnt really want to have to deal with societies views on me.. and B. My parents are all religious. Meaning they believe gay, bi, etc people will go to hell.. i dont believe this but at other times the idea of it being a possibilty scares me. I dont have a problem against gay/bi/ other sexualities like my parents in fact i support them. But im just not sure what i am myself, and in a way im scare to find out.. sorry if its all confusing.. but yeah.. any comments?

Well Im bi, and let me tell you that being bi sexual is just like being straight, or gay, or any sexual ethnicity, being labled a sexuality is totally superficial and is real only relative by present time.. I love being bi since Im a very open person and friendly to talk to, being bi doesnt make me feel ackward at usually ackward situations, I talk to girls merely for the hell of it and hang out with boys since im a guy. Having sex doesnt make the sexuality sweety. but all in all you should just telll your friends... and when your ready to tell your parents, you should. Your the product of thier seed and while they might freak out at first, they willl accept it and love you any which way... and if not, FILE PARENTAL IMANCIPATION ON THIER ASSES!!! Hope it helps!

Hmm being a het(Heterosexual) man myself I can give you my take on the matter: That's quite the predicament you've got yourself into there, Ciel. well since your a girl I have to say i don' think you can go wrong either way! If ya chose to go with guys then more power to the human race! If ya chose to go with girls well hey, I don't think I'll ever mind seeing two girls loving each other~! and I guess it wouldn't kill anyone to stay bi. maybe we're all bi and just choose to always lean to one side! lol okay but seriously! when it comes down it you just make sure your happy! I understand the thought of eternal damnation can make any soul jump in there skin! But hey where your going is between you and God! don't let anyone try and tell you where your soul is bound for any reason! The way I see it there are a lot worser things a person can do to go to hell than being gay! But yeah. Never be ashamed of who you are and what your into! really hope I helped.

Oh boy, I had the same exact problem you do atm.
First off, just know that this is ok to go through. I was... really upset about it.
Anyway, REALLY think about it before you make you decide to date/be with another girl. If you aren't 100% right with it, it can make things awquard and even painful at times and it isn't fair to you, or the person you're with. Plus, if you try to push yourself in the relationship, you may end up doing things you WAY regret.
Secondly, make sure that you get to know the person and concider the person before you jump into a relationship. Don't just jump on the first girl that's willing because that could get you into some... sticky situations. That last bit is kind of a general bit of relationship advice, but w/e.
Whatever you end up choosing, I really hope it goes well!
Personally, though, I decided that I'm strait, and, though there are still females that I'll admit are atractive, I'll NEVER be in a relationship with one again. I really don't like girls all that much... we're kind of petty, and, well, bitchy as a whole.

Basically it was someone sharing their opinions on homosexuality, but the way he did it was rather interesting.
At any rate, I'd say experiment. Better to find out what you prefer sooner than later.
As for the religious issue, I personally think that it's rather stupid for someone to prejudice against a gay because of that. Though as the guy in the video I can't find pointed out that if it's not okay to be gay, it's also not okay to eat things such as seafood (and poultry I think too) since the bible says something about only eating what has hooves? He quoted it directly, at any rate, so if you've read the bible you probably know what he's referring to.
I know I was bi-curious with a friend, and she was lesbian, so she was willing to go through that with me. At least I explained to her that I thought I liked her, but I wasn't sure because I didn't know if I liked girls like that. She said that since she liked me, we could try dating. If it worked it worked, if it didn't it didn't. It didn't, but we're still friends, since I explained before hand, so it didn't get too messy or awkward.
Though in general I still oogle girls I think are attractive, but I have no interest in them like that.
So maybe if there's a girl you think you like get to know her first as a friend and she what she's like, like H3llium said, before you jump in.

I feel that this is a very relevant topic to the guild, actually.
There are a lot of artists who are really confused with that these days- I think it's because of the lack of strict boundaries these days. It's very well and good to have your feelings, and your understanding of yourself. Also, though, it's important to know why you feel that way, or what makes you confused.
My own personal confusion came from what I preferred drawing, (vivacious females with beautiful faces,) and the fact that I've had several sanity wrenching break-ups that were always a let down after even a tiny spark of hope had flicked.
My final decision after a long exploration of myself was that I was simply pansexual, and I just prefer people who make me happy as opposed to guys that make me happy.
But not everyone's me.
Society shouldn't be a factor as to why you don't experiment. Similar with religion. Instituted forms of control by those in 'authority' such as ideas like 'hell' or 'outcasting.' In every group there is an outcast, but given the amount of people in the world, there are always subgroups of outcasts who will all care about each other the same, and find their own outcasts.
So... having by now gone over the rest of the posts, Brown Shark, and H3llium have good arguments, but you want to know if that's how it is because you've never had the chance to experiment. Really, I think everyone should experiment with same sex relationships being more than simply friends as a right of passage or something like that. It would make for quite a few better people and a little less prejudice.

I think I'm have the same situation cause like I'm not sure if I'm bi-curious ... Like I LOVE guys but sometimes I just see girls and I'm just like ... wow ... And idk what to do with that ... But I've never gone out with either of the sexes so I really don't know which I like more ... So basically I'm just saying that I understand your uncertainly and confusion ... I think u should tell your parents by having a serious sit down talk and like start off like mom dad I need to talk to u about something serious that you might not like but I hope that u will still love me ... And then tell them and be like I understand your views on this subject and you can hate me for being the way I am but I know that you will find it inside of u to still love me even if I'm something that u don't like ... I'll try to tell my friends when the moment is right, and my parents.... when i move out of their roof ouo...heh, i really dont want go to court against my parents, it'll make for horrible future christmas dinners xD
