The sky was dark, and the creatures of the forest stopped their singing and instead turned to soft chirps and crickets as the night fell. Aarushi traveled, as she always, into the forest at this time of night. It was the time of day that she could escape, the ever over-bearing clutches of her father. Remnants of the sun lingered just over the horizon, illuminating the sky for just a little while longer.

The path that the young doe choose to travel down tonight, was lit by things that the two-legs called 'lanterns'. The glow from the fires gave off a creepy feel, making the rest of the forest seem darker, and menacing. Of course, though, Aarushi would never admit that she was put off by this feeling, and instead traveled on. As the wind passed through the branches and leaves, it made a moaning sound. The eerie sound made Aarushi weary of moving on, but she did so just the same.
