 I like doing these sorts of things for role play groups, because it helps us all develop and get to know our characters more.
SO...here's some questions that'll give more insight to your character (Answer with as much or little as you want/know)

Favorite Color – Red
Favorite Genre of Music – Sil enjoys most orchestral pieces, and has a strong fondness for jazz.
Favorite Pass time – Listening to music and taking it apart to identify each instrument and what key they’re in.
Animal – Naja naja. The Indian Cobra
Theme – Hey Jude – The Beatles
Not So Simple:
Worst Fear – Sil’s worst fear is that her mind will get the best of her. That she’ll no longer be able to hold back the thoughts that plague her and she’ll completely lose it. She’s afraid of losing everything.
Best Memory – Her best memory comes from before her time in Cirque du Gothique. Airships were just starting to be engineered, and they were revolutionizing transportation around Gaia. An airship captain saw her standing on the docks, gawking at his ship with wide eyed wander, and he let her come on board for a run they were about to make. She has had a strong fascination with them ever since, hoping to one day own a ship of her own.
Worst Memory – Sil’s worst memory comes from her time in the Cirque. She had already been there for a few years and she was beginning to starve herself. The staff in charge of keeping her had discovered this, and went to inform the ringmaster. He instructed his staff to hold her down onto the floor and shove food down her throat, so that she wouldn’t wither away and they wouldn’t lose one of the best attractions.
Moral Beliefs – Sil’s moral beliefs run on a bit of a justice, or karma system. She thinks that those who do wrong should have wrong done to them, and those who do good and deserve good should receive good things.
Religious Beliefs – Sil’s beliefs, as well as the beliefs of her people focus around the Great Moon Spirit. Her people believe that is where their ancestors come from, because of their white skin and “changing faces”. Sil believes that it is with the Great Spirit’s blessing that she carries through with her plans. That the Great Spirit wants her to make the people who would harm one of her children suffer.

Worst Memory - being locked in a Dark, wet room as punishment
Moral beliefs - Don't hurt others without a reason. All things in moderation.
Religious Beliefs - tries to go by christian guidelines, not very religious...

This would be interesting for my OC (lol, still hasn't figure out a name yet). :3 Simple - Favorite Color: Red Favorite Genre of Music: World Favorite Pass Time: Studying different lifestyles and cultures. Animal: Wolf Theme: Holy Power of Mana - Legend of Mana (Grr... It's hard to choose one that fits him... D= ) Not So Simple: Worst Fear: Having a group of people's lives at stake due to his carelessness. Additionally, both his physical and magical, along with his knowledge and wit, not being able to help solve they're all in situation. Best Memory: The first time he met his friend Magi Bani. He was reading a manga containing one of his favorite mascots (something in a form of bani/rabbit) in the rose garden of his home. There was a real live bani standing there in front of him at the time, watching curiously. After he look up from his book, he fell off the stone bench he was sitting on by surprise. The Magi Bani tilted its head to a side confused, but made a snapping noise with its buck teeth, snickering at him. He blushed in embarrassment, but gave chase. They spend the rest of the day playing tag before becoming friends. Worst Memory: The first thing he saw after leaving his home was a hit and run in an urban city. He wanted to chase after the truck that ran over the young child, but the only possible way for him to be able to catch up in speed was to use magic. At the same time, the child's wound was too great, leaving him/her only about a minute to live. There were more than 2 dozens of people surrounding him and the child, watching in horror. Due to the lack of time to make a decision (between saving the child's life vs his promise of keeping magic as a secret to his wizard community), the child passed away before his eyes. Moral Beliefs: There's a time and place for fooling around, but a person's life is not a toy to play with. At that point, the common saying, "an eye for an eye" may seem ideal as punishment. Still, this shouldn't be used as the only solution to everything. Religious Beliefs: There are multiple gods/spirits, each having his/her own specialty. It is in his belief that every child is assigned to one specific god/spirit during birth, giving him/her an advantage toward an area of expertise in magic, sociality, fortune, etc. A person's soul can be reincarnated to start a whole new life, but one can also decide whether he/she wants to share his/her soul with another person (problem is, it's near impossible to achieve in normal situations).

I personally like to use this resource, but it is admittedly way more time-consuming and at times tedious. XD It can help a lot for longer fan fictions, serious RPs, or even original fiction. Anything in which you want to really flesh out a character, and see if there are any unrealistic contradictions.Simple: Favorite Color - red Favorite Genre of Music - international and/or techno Favorite Pass time - Studying world history and other cultures Animal - Wolverine Theme - "Kalimba" - Mr. ScruffNot So Simple: Worst Fear - Dying in any way that couldn't be described as "peaceful." Best Memory - When she had single-handedly earned that months rent when no one else in the family could. Worst Memory - Being mugged and beaten at the tender age of eight as she was harmlessly and aimlessly going for a walk. Moral Beliefs - Naomi takes the path of least resistance when it comes to life, meaning she'll do whatever gets her results fastest. The fastest way may or may not be entirely legal/moral, but she honestly doesn't care either way. It's a dog-eat-dog world in her eyes, and she aims to be top dog whether that means she makes a few friends or a few enemies. She knows that those most deserving don't always get what they should, so she certainly isn't going to wait around to see if she'll be awarded for good deeds or punished for bad ones. Religious Beliefs - Beyond a vague belief that there is a higher power, Naomi doesn't really think of religion. She's tolerant of other beliefs, and finds studying them very interesting. EDIT: Hey! Looks like mine and Yen's character could get along pretty well, judging by interests/taste in music. XD

That resource is pretty interesting. I don't think deciding on whether your OC's a righty or lefty would add a whole lot of character though. xD

Simple:
Favorite Color - Black of course but with some red
Favorite Genre of Music - Creepy Classical
Favorite Pass time - Making people scream in fear with his magic tricks or just with himself.

Worst Fear - That something bad will happen to his daughter.
Best Memory - His best memory is when he had a child with the love of his life. A beautiful daughter. (Soon to be added as another character but waiting for art to be done XD)
Worst Memory - The day he came home and his wife was murdered. He then found the people who did it and hung them from thier own Intestines. This forever turned him into the syco he is today with no remorce for human life except his daughters.
Moral Beliefs - He has no Morals. He will do anything he wants without regret.
Religious Beliefs - Does not care for the thought of Religion. When someone talks to him about it he simply trys to turn them down.

Haha, yeah, definitely one of several questions that fall under "tedious." rofl Before I used to go question by question, typing everything out. Now that I'm lazymore comfortable with character creation, I just read through the questions and form answers in my head. Primarily, it helps me find out if there's a particular aspect of a character (like family life, and all the biases that could come with) that I haven't thought through.
I can totally see that! Maybe if they were rifling through books or something, they would discover similar interests, but quickly start antagonizing each other as their personalities conflicted. XD

Reivyn is absolutely terrified of being by herself again, it's no fun when it's just you and your snakes. And it would just be the worst for her if the Cirque left her behind. Best Memory - Finding the Cirque~ Not having to wonder around lonely and bored was like a gift from a non-existent god. And now that she's attached to her make-shift family, she wouldn't know what to do with herself if they ever abandoned her. Worst Memory - Before she ever became the circus freak that she is--that is to say, before she found a home in the circus, she was always a freak--she was far too lonely to cope with it. Of course, her darling snakes did their best to keep her company, but sometimes, it was the same as not having anyone at all. Even if she isn't the type to outright admit liking being accepted--while also trying her damnedest to creep her fellow troupe members out--she really does like the vibe of being able to call something home. Even if it's only temporary (a thought that often creeps up on her when she's alone), it's fun for now and that's what matters to her. Moral Beliefs - Absolutely none, she's the type of person that welcomes the dark side of life and believes in indulging in anything she wants and has no problems in making a complete monster out of herself to get what she wants. Whatever it takes to get the job done. In her own opinion, she thinks watching the world go to hell is the most exciting thing ever and that more people should be just as fxcked up as she is (secretly, she thinks they are anyways, but they should show it more). Religious Beliefs - Reivyn isn't the religious sort. As far as she's concerned, it's nothing more than fairytales--which heavily offends a lot of people, much to her amusement.

(Blah... still posting. XD I'll be back for the chat every once in a while) Simple: Favorite Color - Yellow tends to look best on her, gold to be more specific. Favorite Genre of Music - She grew up listening to Swing and Jazz, so that's all she really cares for. But she won't pass up a good beat. Favorite Pass time - Dancing, a bit of singing, reading. Animal - Swan Theme - Ella Fitzgerald - Let's Do It (Let's Fall In Love) (1956) (Yes she actually is quite a romantic when with the right person) Not So Simple: These are more indepth and might take you more time Worst Fear - Disappointing others, dieing alone and unloved. Best Memory - Going to the circus for the first time. Worst Memory - Having to move from her beautiful country home to the 'dirty city' as she referred to it as. Moral Beliefs - She certainly won't stand in anyone's way of doing something. As far on sexuality with morality, she's interested in finding someone suitable to share life's joys and struggles with before she even thinks of a mate. Religious Beliefs - Non-practicing Catholic. Considering going back.

Best Memory: Attending an equestrian circus with her big sisters. Being called on stage by the ringmaster and having a horse jump over her, whilst lying on the ground. She has a secret love of horses no-one must know.Worst Memory: The same event, A horse knocking a lantern over, and setting fire to a circus tent as she participated in a stunt. The ordeal left her with the fear of losing control of things. Moral Beliefs: What must be done must be done. Religious Beliefs: Catholic now athiest. She grew up in a home of catholic sisters, she is now a bitter athiest simply through her own beliefs.

As she was hiding from soldiers who took her father away many years ago. Best Memory - Finding the Cirque du Gothique, and knowing all along that is where she belonged, since she was indeed a tad off-color as most pointed out her personality is odd. Worst Memory - She has none that she can remember only blurry flashbacks that cause her to breakdown and cry randomly. Moral Beliefs - Do onto others as you wish to be done onto you. Religious Beliefs - She has no beliefs, there is no god for her, other than that of the Ringmaster who has solely helped her in her mind.
