Night felt like most of his encounters happened outside of the school dorms. It was interesting to meet the people he had by now, one being a she wolf, another a male gryphon, not to mention the Lust avarice demon and then there was Tybalt and Mei-Xiu. Slowly but steadily he was gaining friends in the academy, today felt like it would be another day to make a new friend.
While it was sunny outside, the ground was damp with an overnight rainfall that had taken all of the students b surprise. Well maybe not all of them, Nightengale took it the hardest though. There had been no thunder or lightening to distract him from the steady onslaught of the soft rain. He wasn't sure why it bothered him so much but just the thought of being completely soaked left his hair standing on ends.
Speaking of which, Night padded the ground softly in his ghostly cat form, the form he rarely took on since coming to the academy, due mostly to the need to conversate in his more...humanoid like body. Today was a special day though, after being scared most of the night, he had used up his energy and reverted to this form.
So he pranced around outside, walking wherever it took him, his noticeable glowing green eyes pierced anything that moved by him fastly, or any sounds that caught his attention. It wasn't long till he happened upon her and her kits at play. A monster girl from the looks of it with a pair of foxes out to play. His small cat form body shuddered in excitement as he trotted over, mewing at the girl. Sometimes he would talk in this form, sometimes he wouldn't. For now, he just wanted her attention and to play.

Junko had somehow managed to sleep through the night, though that may have been because weather didn't bother her. Her foxes and Aoi were fine as well, having been tired out long before then. She was getting used to putting them through this routine of using up all their energy so they would be much calmer. Sayuri was still a derp, however. She only hoped Sayuri would get better with time. For now, Junko was sitting under a tree and watching the two foxes run around and play, glad they weren't wandering too far from her. Meanwhile, She was eating sushi that Junko had prepared.
Her attention was focused on the foxes for now, giggling and picking at a piece of sushi she was going to try and eat for herself since She seemed to be thoroughly distracted with eating. Junko didn't even notice the cat approaching them until he mewled at her, jumping a bit and looking around until she found its source. Junko gasped quietly, eyes wide and her mouth forming a small 'o'. Cuuuuuuuuuute! She didn't realize this kitty was really a student, for now thinking it was someone's escaped familiar or just a random really-well-groomed stray. Junko smiled, picking apart a sushi roll to get at the fishy bits and holding her hand out for the kitty.
"Here, kitty kitty. Want something to eat?"

Night cocked his head at the offered food of the girls before coming closer to her and sniffing it. His bright green eyes looked up to her before he mewed, "Thank you!" He let the words slip out of his mouth before licking her hand and devouring the food in it, licking till he got to her palm before nuzzling his head in it. "It was delicious, did you make it?" He plopped his butt down at the girl before staring at her, his paw came up in a way to point to the sushi.
His attention diverted though to the foxes who were playing a bit further and his green eyes gleamed with curiosity and playfulness, He liked to play as well! Even if they were just the pets. But that would be saved for another time since he was enjoying the sushi the girl made. Especially after that first taste, his body got up to wander over to her hand again nudging at it in a way to say, "Hey, may I have so more?" He purred it out, letting the small rumble in his chest turn up in his throat, the soothing vibes was second to him and just as natural as breathing. He didn't realize that though his first though had to been to be silent and played the part of a quiet kitty, that he had given away himself as a....well not really normal kitty. Mostly not a famaliar at least, the threw one of the options out.

"You're welcome!" Junko replied reflexively, though she paused seconds later and just stared at the little cat eating the door in her hand and then proceeding to lick and nuzzle at her palm. And then he spoke again! At first she thought it had been her imagination, but nope...this cat was talking. And he was pointing. He was so...human-like. Which meant he wasn't just a cat. "Thank you...ah, yes. I did...are...are you a student?" Jackdamnit! Why did all the cute little kitties she met and wanted to pet and cuddle students?! She couldn't just...cuddle them! That was weird! 'Oh hey, you're cute as a kitty! Can I pet you?' That was..weird!
Junko's gaze followed his toward her foxes and then turned back to the talking cat to see the look in his eyes, lowering her hand to wipe it off on her lap and pluck up another sushi roll for herse--for...Her...since She had snatched the piece from Junko's fingers the moment before it could touch her lips. Junko merely sighed, quite used to the act of selfishness. She was convinced the kitty would go play with her foxes until she felt the fuzzy face nudging her hand, looking down at him with surprise. Oh! He wanted more? "Alright." She chirped, offering him a whole piece this time without picking it apart.

"Sorry!" Night sat back as the girl stared at him. Such a funny reaction to him talking, like it was so unnatural in the world such as theirs! Well Nightengale wasn't too sure if that was right, maybe this was unnatural? A talking black cat in the day? As he had never heard another cat speak in the school, he almost considered himself special in this form. However, maybe by speaking like this, the girl would soon to believe that all of the cats in the school talked. His playful nature came forward as he got up and walked around the girl, rubbing himself on her back before taking a seat on the other side of her.
"I am not a student, whatever those are. What's a student? Is it food?" Night stared at her hand again before giving her a cat's grin cocking his head. Even if he played with the girl, he hoped she wouldn't mind the little joke. Her face had said if he had said he was a student, he probably would've had no more chances to talk and eat her food. Besides, he knew some students didn't like to pet other students EVEN THOUGH THE MORE ANIMALISTIC ONES LOOOOOOOOVED to be petted. Like Night himself. He also though of LW and Others. "My name is Nightengale XIII though, whats yours? Oh you should probably just call me Night cause its shorter."
Night's head cocked in curiosity though as a piece of sushi the girl had instantly disappeared without going to her mouth, or to him. "Where did that piece of sushi go?" He said, swinging his little cat head around in confusion, what had happened? "Oh! Thank you again!" He looked at the piece of sushi in her outstretched hand before taking it in his mouth and setting it to the ground where he could take his time eating it without slobbering all over her hand. Once finished, he returned his green eyes to hers and asked the question again, "How come that piece of sushi disappeared so fast? Did you make it disappear with Magic? Are you a reaper or something?" Night wasn't fond of the Reapers all that much, he had met a couple that we're nice but overall, he always got a weird feeling from them. And their smell was different then most of the species in Amityville. He could say that the girl's smell was a bit different too, not reaper like at all.

He...didn't know what a student was? This was either a trick or he just didn't know what a student was. But that was impossible...right? Junko looked unsure, not about the cat but about the statement he had made. Did he really not know what a student was? No way...that couldn't be true. Could it? Ohhh, now she was confused! At least he had a name, that was a step in a good direction. Nightengale the thirteenth...that sounded like a very normal name, so maybe he was pulling her leg. Tricky cat! "It's nice to meet you, Night. I'm Junko." Introduction for an introduction, after all! Even if Junko could do the proper bowing and all that she could very easily at least give Night her name. Student or not, he was a talking cat who deserved a proper greeting.
She was getting the feeling he was a student just playing a trick on her, however.
Of course he noticed the sushi disappear. Who wouldn't? Sigh. Junko frowned a little and turned her eyes toward Her as if silently demanding She behave. It was a futile effort but one Junko made nonetheless. She had used the time Night was busy eating the sushi she offered him to do this so she could hide it, smiling down at him when he seemed to be done shaking her head. If he knew what a reaper was, he definitely wasn't just a cat. "No, I'm a monster. A futakuchi-onna. I have a second mouth in the back of my head..so..." Enough explanation! Yay! That was all she needed to say! Yup, yup. Nothing more. It was time for a swift subject change!
"I don't think I've seen you around before. Are you new?" Junko asked the cat, putting the bento box aside to clear room on her lap for him to climb up and sit. She pat her lap, inviting him to sit with her. Student or not he was a very adorable kitty cat!

Night licked his paw free from rice and sushi before purring loudly. His head was still cocked at the girl before he started to fade. It was much like the Chesire cat from wonderland, first was his body, then the rest of him, lastly followed by his bright green eyes and large cat grin. It would be almost freaky if after only a second after disappearing was replaced with the small cat boy.
"Uh oh, Jig's up!" Night grinned as he looked down at himself, luckily enough his ghost form had allowed him to keep his clothes on, a light sweatshirt and a pair of running shorts covered all of his assets. Thank goodness, since usually when he transformed he couldn't keep clothing on.
"Well, Since you know, I am student. Sorry to lie, sometimes my form changes and sometimes it doesn't." Night grinned sitting cross legged next to her and smiling, ignoring the fact that he had just turned from a small black cat into a larger cat human boy, his tail playfully wagged behind him, his ears twitched in his long shaggy black hair. "I am sorta of new, don't have any classes yet. I kinda of come and go as I please." Night cocked his head at her before staring at the monster girl. "There is another mouth behind you?" He was more curious about the second mouth as he tipped himself over around the side of her head, looking for the unforeseeable second mouth. "Does it hurt to have it there?" He asked wide eyed. Truthfully, he had never heard of the saying curiosity killed the cat and so asked any question that came to his mind.

Junko watched as he suddenly began...to fade?! What was going on? Wh-where was he going? She thought only ghosts--oh. Ohhhh! Now she understood! He was a ghost! A ghost cat? How strange! She watched with newfound interest as the boil faded into nothing, waiting to see what would happen next. Gah! She squeaked and leaned back a bit as the cat boil suddenly appeared, blushing a little at her own surprise before settling down again. Haha! The jig really was up. Junko giggled and nodded. "I almost believed you!" She didn't sound angry or insulted or annoyed at all, more amused than anything. She didn't even think anything of his clothes. And why would she? At least he had them! Though Junko didn't realize there was a possibility he could have not have them; she didn't know how this transformation stuff worked, she always had just the one 'form' to herself. The only thing that would change about her was she would age and, more importantly, her hair would grow at an extremely rapid rate up until a certain length.
Junko smiled and held a hand out to shake properly now that Night had hands, shrugging a little at his apology. "It's alright! Sometimes I'm just a little too gullible, I think." The movement of his ears caught her immediate attention and her eyes darted to them, watching them intently. It was like a cat that'd been distracted by a delicious looking canary, only this time it was a small Japanese monster ghoul who really wanted to just pet those ears. They looked so soooooooft! If it weren't for his question about Her she would have just completely tuned out the rest of the world in her quest to pet those ears.
"I'm sorry? Oh..ah, yes. She calls Herself The Mistress. I'm a Futakuchi-onna, we're women with a second mouth in the back of our heads." And that was basically all there was to it. Her hair writhed until it was stealing what was left of all of the sushi, gobbling it all up with obnoxious chewing noises. Junko made a face of disgust but tried to keep her attention on Night. "No, not..to have it. But She does attack me often. I've gotten used to it by now. Ah, try not to get too close. She's grabby, and She'll bite." She hadn't yet but Junko knew that one day? She would.

Night really hated to shift so suddenly, one because it was a constant annoyance of never knowing when he would transform or not and two well because he didn't really like his humanoid form all that much. He much preferred to be in his comfortable cat body, it was easy to get snuggles and more "natural" to walk around in. Coming from the realm in the past as a cat was understandable as far as why he would feel more natural in his cat form. its what he died as.
"Well I am glad," Night joked, smiling at Junko before cocking his head, "It was a joke though, I'm sorry I almost got you." He said sadly flattening his ears. "Though I do loved to get spoiled in that form." He winked at her pointing to the now empty sushi plate and then to his tummy before giving her a thumbs up, sticking his tongue out. "Nothing wrong with being gullible though." He patted her head, "I'm pretty gullible too, I believe EVERYTHING." He said dramatically reaching his hands out to show her everything before letting them fall to his side.
"The Mistress you say?" Night smiled before staring a bit longer and then shrugging. "Well that explains it then, Sorry about asking all the question but I got to know everything. You know that saying, Curiosity killed the cat?" Night pointed to himself and winked, "And then Satisfaction brought me back!" Night bursted out in laughter at his own pun before quieting down. "Oh I'm sorry! I'll try not to get nearby. Sorry Mistress!" Night waved a hand at the back of Junko's head before turning to the girl again, "So Miss Junko, what are you up to today before you met a trickster like myself?

Junko could see why getting spoiled would be easy in the form of an adorable kitty. If Junko could become a cute animal she would probably always want to be the cute animal. She wasn't at all upset that Night had tricked her, she was more amused than anything. Junko giggled. "It's fine. It's not as if you meant any harm by it!" And she had a feeling there was a little a little something wrong with being gullible. She really needed to start learning better judgments one of these days or she'd somehow get herself stuck in a bad situation; sometimes it was just so hard to tell what was true and what wasn't! And she didn't get out much before leaving home to attend Amityville, so she was even more sheltered and naive because of that.
She gave a nod at the question about Her, shaking her head after at his apology. "It's alright! I'm used to questions, and She loves it when someone wants to know about Her." Junko said with a small sigh, rubbing at the back of her neck. She blinked at the sayings Night brought up, tilting her head curiously. Was that..how he became a ghost? she didn't ask, not wanting to possibly bring up a touchy subject. Who wanted to talk about how they died? Unless he was born a ghost in Halloween and just really liked those sayings. Either way...!
"Well today I was just relaxing. I didn't actually have any plans. I'm out here until my foxes get tired, Professor's orders." Not exactly orders as more suggestions, but that didn't matter. "And you?"

Night kept moving closer to the girl, not really because he wanted to bother the mistress, especially because Junko had warned him, but mostly because he wanted to pet his ears again. He was just weird like that.
"Nothing more then stealing a few nibbles of food and a few pets." Night winked at her before sitting back and resting his hands on knee's, letting his tail curl around him. "Oh! So Mistress likes to be talked about, does that mean she's pretty vain?" Night joked but sobered, "Though if I was in the back of a head I would love to be talked about to, It'd be pretty awesome." He smiled.
"Your foxes?" Night looked over and saw the pair of minipets and his grin became so full, "Their cute! not as cute as I, but I am just saying that cause I am biased to myself." Night joked again as he watched the pair, "Today is a good day to relax though. Me?" Night looked surprised at her question, he hadn't really had any plans, in fact, he was just going to wander around the school. "Well I don't know actually, I don't have any classes at the moment and Tybalt ran away so i can't bother him." The cat let his shoulders fall as he deeply thought about something too do before shrugging, "I guess nothing productive."
