This is the thread for the Chao family, consisting of Kuan-yin Chao (Cid) and his adopted amnesic (and brain damaged) daughter Suzy.

☯ Kuan-yin Chao ☯ [ MALE ] [ TWENTY-FOUR TWENTY-SIX ] [ SPRING 30 ] [ STRAIGHT ] [ TRAVELING MONK ]  Kuan-yin (prefers the name Cid) is a traveling monk from China, who made a stop at Nirvani; but now wishes to stay to raise his adopted child (Suzy) He was abandoned as a baby at a temple by his father (who he rather despises for naming him Kuan-yin before departing) and raised by monks. The past few years he has been exploring the world, with the goal of learning all he possibly can from the modern world before he returns to his temple.. though, he has been sidetracked to stay in the past, and now forgets that he wished to returned home when he's more at home with Romane and her dogs.
Cid keeps his journal in his bag/pockets, if he had a theme song, it would be The Lone Shepherd.

✖ "I am unused to this food..." Black coffee, strong sour flavors, and chewy foods (taffy and gum mostly)
✖ "I apologize, but I do not care for this!" Horror, violent, and gory movies, music with foul language, and video games with any violence.
ScheduleThe following is where to find Cid on a different day. By the end of those days if he is not interacted with he auto-exists. This is good for you girls who are looking for a handsome young monk~ The monk is there no matter the weather, even if a post is not made saying he's there, assume he is. The only time he will not be at one of these locations on that day is if there are other people roleplaying there (to not interrupt them)
Monday: The Field (sells wooden animals)
Tuesday: Mountain Top (sells hand puppets that look like the townfolk of Nirvani)
Wednesday: The Lighthouse (shares his meal + sells chibi figures of the townfolk of Nirvani))
Thursday: The Hotspring (bathes there at night) (sells bath salts)
Friday: The Ruins (cleans most of his clothes there at night) (shares his meal + sells chibi figures of the townfolk of Nirvani)
Saturday: The Lake (sells fans, either with designs or to look like the chibi townfolk of Nirvani)
Sunday: The Mines or Beach Cave (varies by the week) (gives precious stones and seashells he's found)
During birthdays, along with the usual thing he gives/sells, he will also sell your character's favorite food and/or object. (don't ask how he got it, he'll just say it appeared due to a fairy's kindness) He usually sells it very cheap, or gives it to them if they say it's their favorite.

✪ Suzy MacDonald ✪ [ FEMALE ] [ FIFTEEN ] [ SPRING 1 ] [ BISEXUAL ] [ BLACKSMITH ]  Suzy is a young girl that Cid met many years ago in the UK. She was raised by her rather abusive mother, so when she met Cid, she wanted nothing more but to join him on his adventures. Of course the monk didn't really want to take a 13 year old girl as his female companion, so he tried to avoid her as much as possible.. which ended horribly when she tried to mimic his parkour to follow him, ended up getting herself severely injured. Cid of course, managed to get her to the hospital, but had to leave when she was stuck in a vegetated state. There she stayed for about a year or so, chances of waking up were very slim. When she did wake up, she suffered from brain damage.. which is why she's rather odd. Now she only remembers that it was the monk's fault for her injury, and tends to forget why; often thinking of rather complex and horrible stories to explain how he wronged her.
Seeing as getting here was hard enough to do, she now relies on Cid to stay alive, as he provides her food and shelter.. doesn't stop her from plotting his doom though.

❤ "A lady knight does not do such until after marriage!" Inappropriate physical contact (hugs and such) and being hit on (flirting is fine as long as it's done by a fellow warrior though)
